when I got out of my abusive relationship I literally aged backwards.

so glad other women feel this way. I am a huge follower of LoA and definitely feel myself somewhat falling into lower vibes from this subreddit. this does not downplay by any means how much value I have received here! I just would like to focus on that.

a lot of really cool adult things (down payments, removing debt, etc) and it feels awesome. But I’m going to answer this with what’s currently is making me the happiest.... shoes. like, being able to spend $500 on shoes in a month. freedom.

I love this omg. I wish the girl would read this and gather some REAL perspective. and great parenting tactic. My sister and I saved together for two of the original ds’s 😭😭 I really think that taught me the value of money at an early age and only helped me get where I am now! ❤️

The Power. A modern world where suddenly all women have a power to shoot electricity from their hands. It’s adult fiction. It sounds a little weird - but it’s great. Written so well. I don’t want to give too much away, but really check it out!!! There’s a new religion focused on Mary, political upheaval in sexist countries, men living in fear, and teenage girls shocking people for fun. It really even shows the dark side of women in charge completely. I loved it so much!

appreciate you sharing this. I’m so grateful to this sub, especially when I’m going through things. I have several really good male friends.... but they all have crushes on me. I am respected, to an extent, but that’s always the elephant in the room with all of them. Last week two of my male friends (who I introduced) decided to start a money venture together without even talking to me. (I make more than both of them, have immense resources in that specific area, and my family is in this kind of…

so proud to be native and this is a big reason why. Our bloodlines are highly matriarchal due to the sacred wisdom passed down through women. Men trust in it and protect us in their own ways, too. They literally recognize that we CREATE life.

this is why Ancient Greek men used to be homoronantic. they thought that “true love relationships” could only be made between equals - two men.

“We ate the apple cause of you” This is perhaps where misogyny started (in westernized countries) or one of the oldest statements supporting it. This line is embedded in every man’s subconscious. That HUMAN SIN AND SHAME entered our existence because of women.

I feel like this is a half-assed attempt to appear like they actually care about women.... a business known for and wide for objectifying women’s bodies for financial gain.

omg this triggers me. I swear it was like going back in time to living with my ex (which years later I will occasionally have nightmares about). I hope she gets the strength to just do it. 🙏🏻

men seek out large height differences to feel like a “big man” on the inside. I think this is honestly across the board. Short girls I know, the ones who are really desperate for male attention, always talk about how small/short they are. My ex-manager, one of the biggest scores I have ever come across, told us “in (state) his fiancé was a 6, but in (state) she was a 10.” He also admitted to going for good looking women who were “tall” because they were easier that their shorter counterparts.

I love this story because it shows such realism in the people we love having both LV and HV properties. It’s awesome you’ve been able to understand the two and encourage the better. also, my grandfather grew roses too. 🥰

This is wonderful, seems like such a dream. 😍 I’m a skincare addict, it’s almost like a love language all it’s own. I have a question though! Obviously his love language is gift giving and that is oh-so-special, but what are other reasons you would consider him a HVM?

this just takes practice and some guts! ... and it’s not going to always work. There will be times where you just have to eat it, unfortunately, and decide to let that interruption go. I can’t tell you how many times in the beginning of my career where I was talked over and my ideas unacknowledged. What did I do? Follow my idea anyway and outperform the loud scrotes from the meeting. Half the time people are ALL TALK anyways, and sometimes new ideas are best dissolved into the company slowly wit…

nail on the head. and if this exists, it should be private. Just honestly grossed out that she is willing to do all off this and the best response he can think of is that “he’s going to get her pregnant” and people support that. 🥲

Then on the other hand we have the “mentors” who call you abrasive... 😓 had to have a talk with said person about the fact that women are called abrasive in the office waaaaaay more than men are!

I’m definitely all for this, but be extremely tactful about it. Once you get that lovely “bitch” label branded on you - life can become really difficult and it can be impossible to be taken seriously.

Omg SAME. I swear my old “work husband” would literally try to sabotage my reputation, in a way, so no other males would talk to me. he would downplay our friendship in political moments at the office, as well. I think work husbands are just bad news - there’s something to be said about a man who needs a pseudo-emotional-relationship-attachment in the workplace to get his shit done.

as a young woman with a job in technology - in a role that is highly male dominated - I can tell you that I literally eat these punks for breakfast. They DO NOT know how to react to an extremely skilled woman in a professional setting who doesn’t tolerate being interrupted. I can tell from this guy’s post that he’s actually trying to convince himself of these views... due to feeling threatened in the workplace by strong feminine essence. obviously, it wasn’t always like this for me. In fact it u…

this exactly. During my abusive relationship with a gaslighter, I was constantly confused. I’ve described it as feeling “in a fog all the time.” Gaslighters will do simple things that, over time, add up to make you question everything about yourself. It seems really silly, but when you live with it (or experience it in isolation - they will try to isolate you first obviously) eventually it starts to weigh on you. It can be simple interactions like this: “says something about going to eat” “yeah,…

It’s always the “empowered” women - the ones who approach men at bars, who text first, who do the most in the beginning of dating - who end up confused. “Does he actually like me?” How are you supposed to know if you don’t let him show you? And then show you again? And again, just to be sure? When you take the job of the man in pursuing, you lose your one chance to REALLY see how they feel.

my mother was married to a HVM for years and still had secret accounts. she was the only person who would REALLY save out of the two of them. (He was very invested in in the stock market and was very smart with his money otherwise. he passed away recently and my mother is set up for life.) with her secret accounts she ALWAYS had peace of mind and was able to renovate her home a few times. often it really surprised & impressed him when she could pull her own financially (seemingly out of nowhere)…

so sorry you have to go through this but you are not alone.🙏🏻 I’m in a similar situation (though not near as extreme). I’m the oldest and my brother is the youngest. he’s incredibly spoiled, entitled, lazy. uses his dad’s funding to take girls on dates (LOL!). my mom only will sing his praises, and allow herself to be manipulated when he texts her things like “you need to buy me more clothes so I can pull these hoes.” seriously. meanwhile, of course, I’m quite successful and doing pretty well an…

this is so good. So, so, so good. everyone needs to read this. I learned this the hard way, twice. the first was upon having an abusive ex who I was financially dependent on. he was a typical narcissistic gaslighter that tried to ruin my career. no point in explaining, we all know the type. eventually, I got out of that relationship and focused on going back into my career full force. I needed a job ASAP and secured one quickly. unfortunately, it was a job that didn’t treat me as well as they sh…

oh, this resonates with me so strongly. It’s really like you’re speaking my story here. I had it in my head for so long that HVM = someone really successful in their career/financials. So I just ended up being a pick-me for really wealthy LVM. which in some cases is worse, because they have more resources/options/ability to manipulate. I would go into the very deepest detail while strategizing in hopes that one of my friends would be like “oh well because he did x that means...” in my favor. mix…

soooooo true. they want to vent and to be told that the guy is going to text them back. (I was this person.) Or strategize. Or be told “fuck him and go talk to ____.” it’s like.... girl, this probably isn’t the first time this has happened to you (probably even in the exact same way.) you have to stop lying to yourself and notice the common denominator here. for example - one of my best friends was texting me that she “wants d—-“ and while I too have sexual needs (lol), I realize what she really…

this is kind of how I feel. Especially since she considered this their “starter home.” maybe they should focus on the OFFICE part of this game room so that their business can thrive / they can move on to another home. I study feng shui - having such contrasting energies (business vs laziness) in one room isn’t very optimal to achieving your goals. it’s the same reason why you shouldn’t have a desk in your bedroom if you can help it (sleeping/pleasure vs work).

just like we often need to go through values rehab, so do men. I think if we get stuck on the view that HVM are just born that way it can be really harmful. I would say most of them are and it can have a lot to do with how they are raised. But I have seen men make these changes for the better and I have seen HVM come out of broken homes. definitely not excusing his past behavior but DO want to praise you for the way you’re handling this. don’t feel bad for looking back on the past - even if it’s…

regardless of whether or not she took him back (huge mistake btw), I really and sincerely hope she continues in her self love routine that she developed while they were apart. my instinct is telling me that will all fall to the wayside now, including the increased time with family/friends. I just can’t even imagine how she just feel when he even goes to the gym now. 😭

went on a few dates with a successful man who was 34 (I’m in my 20’s), when I asked him why he didn’t date women his age, he responded with “women in their 30’s always expect something from you.” I think it’s just typically the perceived age when women get their shit together / realizing their worth. 🙃
