Thinking about joining the Navy at 29Yeah for anybody with any real time in it was a ripoff, but it's still okay and better than you'd get at most civilian companies from what I've heard but there are always tradeoffs. For people who fully contribute though, they're basically getting an extra 5% pay each month that'll average 10 to 15% interest over their career. Assuming you live long enough to enjoy it those dollars invested early could theoretically be worth more than that loss on the back end if the market's good. But it does c… | /r/MGTOW | 23/11/19 06:08 AM
Thinking about joining the Navy at 29They didn't get rid of the pension, but it'll be less. Old system was 50% at 20, the new system is a 40% pension at 20 years plus matching contributions to TSP up to 5% of your base pay. If you're good about contributing over 20 years you can still come out with a hell of a lot of money. | /r/MGTOW | 23/11/19 05:45 AM

Whenever they got old and couldn't hunt, and they'd taught the next generation everything they could, they'd get up in the middle of a blizzard and go for a walk without their coat. It seemed like a pretty baller way to go out on your lenn terms. You've passed in everything you can, so rather than be a burden you just go home to nature. | /r/MGTOW | 16/09/19 03:11 AM |
What's your opinion on travel? Is it worth the money?I think in a few places the hostel prices have gone up, but I did Aer Lingus for about $800 round trip, going off the average hostel price of $20/day I came in at around $420 because I crashed with some people I met for a few days. Ate breakfast and a lot of dinners at the hostels for around $100 total, and spent maybe $150 between trains, buses, and one RyanAir flight. I took a few day trips on the bus at around $45 a piece, and then some beer money. Otherwise I basically walked everywhere and … | /r/MGTOW | 15/02/19 05:01 PM
I don't have much attraction to women anymore honestly, and it's progressing more into that directions as time goes on.I've been finding that on the rare occasions I actually feel like trying to meet someone, a little PNC does the trick and I'm back to my hobbies. | /r/MGTOW | 14/02/19 08:57 PM
What's your opinion on travel? Is it worth the money? If you do it right, you can explore on the cheap. Use stuff like skyscanner to find cheap flights and stay in hostels. Sometimes you meet chill people there but worst case you have a roof and a place to crash at around 15 to 20 dollars a day in a lot of places. A few years ago I took almost a month off of work to roam around Ireland and Scotland and maybe spent $2000 including flights and beer. Most hostels let you cook your own food if you want or serve dinner for a few dollars so you can save … | /r/MGTOW | 14/02/19 08:15 PM
Does anyone find society nowadays to be depressing?R/mgtowbooks seems kind of dead, but there was a really good book about this by Sebastian Junger, looking at the isolation and loneliness in society today. It's called Tribe and it's a super quick read if you have a day off. He looked at a lot of it trying to figure out why it seems like each successive war we're song higher rates of PTSD compared to what we saw in the past, and he attributes a lot of it to that isolation and ironically the benefits people get. But he also interviewed people in … | /r/MGTOW | 10/02/19 01:20 PM

Don't even try to help your blue pilled friends...its pointlessMan I almost got married a little over a year ago but I was miserable. Made up fights, I couldn't do anything right, nothing's good enough even after spending $10k+ on the wedding and called it off a couple days before. It took me a long time to come around and be good on my own but even my own dad told me not to get married, because it's not worth it. And I can see now it would have been terrible. Basically everyone I know who's married hates their lives, and their problems are almost all due t… | /r/MGTOW | 29/12/18 12:19 AM
