5	iM jUsT a GiRl pLs Do you have a source on that? If the router handles external dynamic IPs, why can you connect without one and still have a valid external IP? 8	iM jUsT a GiRl pLs Uhh. Modem asks for an IP from your ISP. The ISP authenticates the connection via Mac address and sends the modem the docsis setup message. Why wouldn't they be able to log IP changes? Router just does NAT and DHCP client handling and routing.
