Recently this topic was discussed on Not Alone Pod by Valeria about how there is a lack of healthy role models for men. You can be the best parents to your kid, but their environment such as media, peers etc will ultimately shape them. In this aspect it is out of our hands as parents, we can only provide our kids a healthy foundation

Usually when someone is invading my privacy/stalking so obviously this trick makes self aware and go away. Im in no way saying to get in her face record her obnoxiously. For OOP, it’s also a layer of proof in case said person does anything to jeopardize his job.

Pull out your phone and record her, when she’s following you, watching him ,EVERYTHING. Say youre uncomfortable and that you’re afraid she will do something. But don’t tell him what to do. His reaction to your discomfort will tell you if anything happened between them.

I can relate to this. As an OCD clean freak, I abhor the rash body hair gives me. I’m really fortunate that my SO likes to be hairless like a dolphin as i wouldn’t be able to get past the disgust and pain during sex and kissing etc. I would include shaving as part of the foreplay in the shower and transition it to bed. Hopefully seeing how much fun you both have will inspire him to keep it up. I would also get a home hair removal device so it’s less intimidating.

The comment is the same as you saw it 6 hours ago 🙄 I’m not going to let a grown adult’s moment of insecurity affect or define my ship when I’ve been unequivocally loyal with actual evidence, but if you can’t flirt and want to dwell on it together then just say that.

It could be anything even as little as a croissant from tartine. I assumed OP wanted to marry her person. For an accusation with no merit there’s no reason to be serious

This has got to be a joke. Was this a serious discussion or a spur of the moment ? If he acts serious then call him out on it. Tell him you need to know if that’s what he truly wants because you will want a divorce. His reaction should tell you if he’s serious or not.

I also don’t think the answer matters until exes become a constant topic of discussion. I think what’s happening with OOP is that she overshared thinking it would build trust, but instead put him in fight or flight mode about cheating, which will rock every relationship no matter how old. Dealing with exes within 10 months is also not a good outlook.

This habit of telling him every time a guy contacts you is unnecessary and draining. It’ll just be used to judge you. 🛑 discussing all things past ships with your partner. And if he questions you, reframe it to something flirty and light hearted like “I told them I might if i don’t have a ring on my finger”

Is he often stressed? I find adaptogens like maca powder help with this! Also increases libido and keeps the androgens at bay.

Next time, I’d preface with , “I need to vent” or “ I need your advice” and see his reaction if he’s in the right mind space before continuing. Only you know him so use your best judgement if he’s the right person to heed advice from. If he’s not, then leave it as that with, “well thanks for listening to me babe“, or with something light hearted to end the convo. There’s no need to state why he’s wrong otherwise it’s a debate that could become and argument.

Lots of red flags. But what’s his personality like? Is he saying it for shock factor or is he serious? It seems you both are young so.. i think you can rewire his thinking by rephrasing key words of his Tate rhetoric. But if he has anger issues, or often jumps to heavy debates it’s a terrible path.

I agree people have things to do and can’t reply on the instant. And one shouldn’t always be avail either.

I have to say, nothing about him says he’s ready for another family esp when the relationship is only 4month old. You’d be shooting yourself in the foot to add pressure when you’ve not met his child yet. I would focus on spending quality time together and encourage spending it with his child. To me, deep talks are cheap and an indicator of nothing. I also wouldn’t stress about his ex wife. She has a bf and is doing her own thing. It has nothing to do with you and your relationship.

From the way you ended it.. I’d say take this as a lesson & move on. It’s weird to sex him and pay him after cold turkey.. I think he would notice something is sus as well

Hm I find it insulting to say these attributes are feminine. These traits scream insecurity to me. I find metro males very much as masculine.

I think it’s fair that you gave him a chance despite some red flags and communicated that it ‘s not there. When a guy says things like “my ex’s says I’m great” I think the opposite is probably true. While I agree this is a man’s worse nightmare, I would give him a hug and tell him he’s a great person, but it’d be unfair to him to remain friends. There’s no going back after this

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
