-1	Woman who cried rape after getting cold shoulder in Belfast nightclub is jailed for nine months Which is one of the reasons that (I have heard some argue) if false rape accusers were prosecuted regularly it would be more likely to deter actual rape victims from reporting than victims of other crimes which frequently have more concrete evedence. I have heard that this is one reason that false rape accusations aren't prosecuted. As a rape victim without evidence you may be scared of going to jail.
