2	There is a double standard where it's socially acceptable for women to be rude and controlling with their male partners. Not true, it exists everywhere, sending the husband to the couch is an acceptable joke at a dinner table or even in a work place. Society in general is just tolerant to rudeness, and even violence towards men when it's coming from women. 3	There is a double standard where it's socially acceptable for women to be rude and controlling with their male partners. It's not about liking or hating men, this is one of those social biases/hypocrisies that favour women. It's socially acceptable to make jokes about the man sleeping on the couch for "offending" the wife, not quite so if you make jokes about a man sending the wife to the couch.
