Let me rephrase. None of the dates I went on from there led anywhere at that time. I just wasn’t as confident or effective at putting my best foot forward. But I still met and dated women in college despite having no job and no money. Just not on apps. They were all from the same overall pool of women.

I don’t think there’s any reason to be guilty. I want things in life that will require two good incomes, and I don’t think that’s wrong.

University, for me, was about learning how to think. I majored in journalism and took many, many humanities courses, so it might not be that way in other majors — but in my experience, we learned primarily by doing, not by rote. Idk what it means to “act feminine”. Could you specify?

That’s all well and good, but when it comes to long term partners, it’s more complicated than that. I want to build wealth and own nice things, not just pay my bills and get by. Having an equal earner to myself is important to me. Would I have cared when I was 18 or even 25? Nope. Closer I get to 30, the more I learn what I need in a life partner.

Pleaaaaase don’t put that on me as a man lmao, I couldn’t disagree more. I would never date a woman who works at McDonald’s. I wouldn’t even date a woman who wasn’t college educated and/or in a skilled profession at this point.

RP men are a lot of things, but I don’t think extraordinary is one of them

In what way is my clone, but richer, not just… still me? But no I pull because I’m funny and, if you squint just right, kind of handsome. I do make decent money, but nothing to write home about.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 11:24 PM

I am 5000% sure that’s an extreme oversimplification of any reputable study.

Women aren’t a hive mind, so let’s start there. Some people are deserving of a relationship, and some aren’t. How you judge that is personal, of course, because there’s no arbiter of who intrinsically deserves anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 10:13 PM
2

It depends what you think of effort as, I think. The effort I expended to start my relationship was minimal. Got her number, bought her a sandwich, that was about it.

My girlfriend sure doesn’t like me for what I have because all I have is a car and debt.

I’m not even that hot and I dated plenty off the apps. (And no, I’ve never dated a fat woman.)

Complete lack of social skills, fashion sense, ability to take a proper selfie, comes off insane in their profile… could be anything.

I promise you that most women don’t find old men hot lmao get real

I’m 28 and I don’t think it’s that hard. My college years were peak Tinder, though I didn’t have any success there until after I graduated. IRL dating was what worked for me at that age.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 09:54 PM

So they dislike women.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 09:49 PM

Like = enjoy their personality Attracted to = want to making fuck
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 09:49 PM

Yeah this is pretty irrefutable. That exact phrase or something essentially equivalent appears so often around the redpill internet sphere.

I’m literally 28 dude. Met my girlfriend through friends at a music festival. Young people still go outside and socialize.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:53 PM

I mean… that indicates you’re bad at it. If you fail 300 times, you’re not good at it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:51 PM
1

Damn bro you must be terrible at interacting face to face, sounds like a skill issue. (Cold approaching is not what I was talking about, anyway. I’m talking about meeting women through your friend group. That’s very normal.)
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:49 PM
6

Romance and friendship aren’t interchangeable. I hang out with my boys all the time. My girlfriend sometimes comes with me. And being more in touch with ones feminine side is bad… why, exactly? Do tell. You don’t seem to like women much at all, which is pretty problematic. I don’t even know why I come here lol y’all are tilted.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:48 PM
6

I mean, you’re starting from the premise that only bad men get laid. That’s asinine. It’s the very definition of sour grapes — you don’t get what you want, so you tell yourself that only bad people can have it and, therefore, it was never good to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:46 PM
1

Plus, you can maximize your odds by choosing the right partner and being a good spouse. People ignore that divorce often happens because one or both of the partners aren’t mentally well-rounded.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:43 PM
3

The secret is making as much or less than your spouse. No need for alimony if your income isn’t way higher.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:42 PM

No shit. People want to fuck hot people just like we want to eat tasty food, live in nice houses, drive nice cars.

Sounds like sour grapes.

Human beings, for the most part, crave companionship. We are social animals. Live your life how you wish, by all means — what makes you happy and what makes me happy are two different things.

Ok 👍
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:37 PM

But it serves a great purpose for me, has a lot of value to me, and wasn’t hard to acquire or maintain. Skill issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:54 PM

Yeah, in the aggregate. But we all have agency and the capacity to make decisions. Individuals don’t operate on statistics.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:53 PM

Yep. That’s how we get the 50-something sad old guys who reaaaaaaally hate women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:52 PM

Well, yeah. Debating here is a waste of time, I’m here for the bantz.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:51 PM

Oh no, I disagree with you entirely. Enjoy your life how you like, my friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:50 PM

Good luck with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:45 PM

And getting fat and wrinkly.

Unless you split the bill, which isn’t hard.

Google collapsed narcissism and get back to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:44 PM

Don’t let the bad behavior of some women hold you back from finding something good.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:28 PM

Y’all aren’t have as objective as you think. And definitely not empirical.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:28 PM

You haven’t seen any couples that are roughly equivalent in attractiveness? How often do you leave your house?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:26 PM

Sounds deceptive, at least by omission.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:01 PM

How else is one gonna find romantic love, oh wise one? If that’s what you want, there’s nowhere else to get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:11 PM

It’s pathetic to give up on something you want just because you’re scared it’ll be too hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:10 PM

Self-delusion is a soothing thing, fair enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 12:13 PM

Oh no! Anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 12:12 PM

Is your belief system leading you to what you desire in life? Seems like no.

Sorry bout it
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 05:38 AM

Odds this, odds that. I’m not white, but I don’t let probability control me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 05:37 AM
2

I’ll be sure to not take that note under advisement.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 05:36 AM

Nobody reading that, but I’m happy for you or sorry that happened or whatever. Hope it gets you what you desire in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 05:20 AM
3

What’s to be sorry for? I’m healthy and happy and so are they. Unless you plan on dying at 62, you’re hardly Middle aged. You’re essentially a decade into adulthood and you’re acting like your life is already over. I don’t have time or energy to entertain that, sorry. Hope things turn around for you. Goodnight.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 05:16 AM
1

Ah, not so! My dad was 42 when I was born. My parents didn’t even meet until they were a little older than you are now. There is much more time than it feels like there is. And my man, you’re just 3.5 years older than me. If you’ve got one foot in the grave, I have 4 toes. Your 30s aren’t old. Nobody I know who is in their early 30s is much different from someone in their late 20s. Life is long and we’re not even near halfway done yet. I can’t instill positivity in you over the internet. I just …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 05:08 AM

Same as it is at any age, I say. Fun, companionship, all that jazz. Personally, I never intended to have children, so not much is gonna change for me and my gf between now and when we’re dead (other than having more money to travel and live a little larger). I don’t know what you want, of course. But you can’t change the past, you can only focus on what’s next. We’re both still young with a lot of years ahead of us.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 04:59 AM
2

28 ,my friend. But I know lots of fellas who found new relationships well into their 30s and 40s. It’s not impossible.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 04:45 AM
3

Thats too bad. It happens, and I feel for you. If you want to find someone to date in the future, your life ain’t over and that’s what’s important. Best of luck.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 04:09 AM
3

Moving once to a bigger city isn’t constant uprooting. Like I said, if people are determined to give up, I won’t stop them. It’s probably best for everyone involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 04:06 AM

Fr tho, I was more than a bit rude, but I also think trauma dumping on strangers is rude.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 04:04 AM

Alright, you win. Might as well just give up! No skin off my back. Just trying to relate my experience, but I guess it isn’t welcome. I wish you well.

Someone who lives in a college town has access to an incredibly vibrant IRL social scene. Not sure what you mean. (If you’re too old for the students, that’s a personal problem.) I stand by what I’m saying. If where you live doesn’t give you what you want, you either deal with that and adapt or you relocate. Those are the two options, period. What else is there to do? Assuming your goal is to actually date and not just convince random men online that your situation is hopeless.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:43 AM
5

Dating apps are just another tool in the arsenal. If you don’t live somewhere with an active in-person social scene, there probably aren’t enough people on the apps, either — especially given the extreme gender disparity in number of users. Either you move to a more populous area or you suck it up. That’s it. Waiting on the world to change ain’t gonna do shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:37 AM
10

Well, you figured it out. Both of those things are thought-stopping heuristics that reduce individual behavior to a gendered trait.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:34 AM
4

Okay! Being a nice guy works out for me just fine. Skill issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:33 AM
2

Stop following me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:32 AM
5

I don’t know you. I feel bad for you, sure, but I don’t know what you want from an internet stranger. Seek therapy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 03:31 AM
4

I’m suggesting that you become less concerned with what the crowd are doing and become more concerned with yourself. What do you want and how are you working to get it?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:29 AM
4

Not at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:28 AM
3

They might, but it’s not my responsibility to coddle people who might happen across my comments. Why come to this sub if nothing in it will help you? It’s tantamount to self harm — which I understand is a compulsive behavior, but nobody is coming to bail you out except yourself. C’est la vie.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:27 AM
3

Great, those women suck, next. What do you expect to change? You either find a way to be happy or you don’t — it’s your life and nobody is coming to bail you out.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:25 AM
7

If it isn’t working, and you keep doing it… it’s a bit like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. That’s all. Doing something that doesn’t work over and over and over and then complaining about it is foolish.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:24 AM
2

Skill issue Edit: okay I’m being mean, but that’s stuff only therapy can help you with. Not the internet. Vent all you like, but don’t expect that to change anything. This sub is poisoning your mind more, not helping you. Dating is the last thing you need to worry about when you’re still overcoming such trauma.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:19 AM
8

Yeah. It’s an inherently flawed data set.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:19 AM
4

Sounds factual to me. Hypergamy is an incel buzzword.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:18 AM
5

Can’t say I’ve ever seen this IRL. Sounds like a skill issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:17 AM

Then those two people aren’t sexually compatible, simple as. Finding someone who matches your sexuality is vital.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:17 AM
1

Ok 👌🏽
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:16 AM

I mean… we’re men. I can get horny if my girlfriend gives me the right look and kisses my neck. It’s not that complex. And actually, women work the same way. You can get them in the mood from 0, too.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:15 AM
28

Ditch. The. Apps. Please, at least for a while. A real world social life will do you a world of good. An app can’t be the only way you meet women unless you’re willing to deal with the extreme gender imbalance and inherent shallowness of them. I promise you that young people still go outside.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:13 AM
6

You put it rough, but you’re not wrong. Most people will date and marry in “their league”, so to speak.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:12 AM
53

Waiting until your 30s is a great way to ensure you’re an awkward, insecure lover. So no. And to answer the other question. Some women are, some aren’t. Women don’t like just one thing in men just like men don’t like just one type of woman. Humans are individuals, not identical robots. Jesus.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:10 AM
2

Uh, I’ll say it. Americas quality of life is miles ahead of China or Vietnam. We have far less poverty and much more social mobility. Google purchasing power parity and get back to me. You could always move. America isn’t the place for you, clearly.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:01 AM
2

Ok. Let’s drop that label. Lots of truly vile misogynistic shit is posted on here with extreme regularity no matter how you slice it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 02:00 AM

They ban a few buzzwords, not the sentiment. I got a temp ban for saying the c-word that rhymes with hope. Even typing it will get you a ban.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:51 AM
1

Pyrrhic victory is still victory, I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:49 AM
2

Lol. Lmao even. When outright “women bad” shit is fully allowed and encouraged, it’s an incel sub. Sorry about it. At a literal level, most of the supposedly red pill posters are incels. Hypergamy is incel shit. 80/20 and 6-6-6 rule are incel shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:49 AM
1

Just because democracies can have poor quality of life doesn’t entail that autocracy is better. Name literally a single autocracy with a good quality of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:48 AM
5

Ok good luck!
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:31 AM
1

Sure. But if we study history, we know that curtailed freedom never leads to a higher quality of life. Indeed, lack of freedoms mean that you won’t have any form of redress when the government abuses the citizenry.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:31 AM
2

And then what? They’re still in the same spot they were before.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:28 AM
2

Ok… but even if you’re right (and I don’t think so), whining won’t change how women behave. I don’t get the point of this.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:27 AM
9

Don’t bother. Shit online dating studies are all they’ve got, and they only want to justify their own issues with them. Barking up the wrong tree.

That’s fine. How’s that going for you, though?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:19 AM

I was being facetious. Personal freedoms are my primary maxim in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:18 AM

No thanks.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:18 AM

I agree, but not for the reasons you suggest. Good social skills are the main thing anyone needs to get laid. High t low t whatever t lmao I never gave a shit about my t level. Testosterone is a convenient excuse for people who don’t want to put themselves out there or take risks.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:16 AM

Most people own cars. They could easily buy a bike instead. We don’t because it’s not practical, but it’s far from unattainable.

Damn it ain’t stick huh
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:13 AM

If it’s a fairytale call me the frog prince lmao. Having a love life is daunting in the modern era of digital ease, but it’s important to remember that we can grow and adapt to it and still get what we want. For some, that’s gonna take a lot of therapy and internal work. But you gotta ask yourself what do you want and do what is necessary to get it. Period. That’s just how it is. Not to go boomer mode on ya, especially because I’m 28. Nobody is gonna come wave a magic wand and fix anything, and …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:12 AM
2

I’d say won’t more than can’t, but that’s just semantics. Like you said… Modern life provides too many easy choices and cheap dopamine highs and a looooot of people never go beyond that. Which I can’t wholly blame them for — humans are wired to seek ease — but we also have the ability to reason and push beyond that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/23 01:10 AM

Yep. Ain’t gonna happen though, this is an incel sub in all but name. Granted, I am over 6 feet tall, but only just. But no six pack and I def don’t make 6 figures yet, catch me when I’m 35 maybe.

I never said that. Stay in school.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:53 PM

It’s an incel sub tbh. Idk why I’m even here other than a kind of fascination with weird motherfuckers.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:52 PM

I reaaaaally don’t want that to happen if your relationship is working for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:52 PM

No doubt. Broke motorcycle guy and rich tech bro aren’t even attracting the same kind of woman.

Being white got jack shit to do with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:48 PM

Theory isn’t a word to just throw around lightly. Red pill is motivated, biased speculation. Like, any philosophy that decides that women are fundamentally unlovable is so far beyond reasonable that it’s laughable.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:42 PM
2

On the other hand — as a man who has dated for about a decade now — I think most redpill shit is repulsive nonsense. It could be the case that this sub attracts two kinds of people: Men who have failed at dating so far — and as a nerdy male dominated website, that’s going to be over represented. People who have had success dating and are motivated to contradict the redpill — which will mostly be women trying to counteract the extreme misogyny on the sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:41 PM
1

It depends what we mean by “needed”. The handiest thing I do around the house is pick up heavy shit and open jars. My girlfriend and I need each other in that we support each other emotionally — but we’d both be fine alone, too.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:37 PM

As a man… I don’t have an inherent list of thoughts or qualities in common with other men just because if my gender. I’m an individual.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:36 PM

Man over here fighting against the preponderance of psychological studies about codependency.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:33 PM
3

But anybody can buy a motorcycle.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:31 PM
3

It’s similar but slightly different for women. Sexual fulfillment for women rarely comes from hookups — it takes time and effort for the man to learn how to please an individual woman, something most casual partners won’t put the effort into. Men’s sexuality is usually far more simple; just touch the dick until they cum.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:30 PM
3

That’s because most people aren’t asexual, not because sexuality and romance are intrinsically connected.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:27 PM
2

So asexual people have no romance? Do you know what romance means? It’s a different kind of love from the love you have for a friend or a family member.

What consequences should exist for women who choose who they sleep with? Be specific.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:24 PM
1

That’s a good point. On this sub you’d think the sky is falling. Irl I don’t see any of that happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:23 PM
2

I think that’s already happening because Hungary is like drastically poor. It’s a desperate move by a far-right government that isn’t concerned with long-term consequences.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:18 PM
2

That seems like a pretty draconian solution. Having kids or not should be a free choice regardless of what choice an individual makes.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:17 PM
1

Hell, I had all those things growing up — wanting more is what gets me out of the house. There’s something more going on that makes some men thrive and others fail to even try. Motivation, maybe. Ability to self-start.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:15 PM
4

Because it’s easier. That’s the crux of this sub, really. It’s a bunch of people trying to debate their way out of personal responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:14 PM
7

The rare misandrist on a sub full of misogynists, what a find.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:13 PM

I think it’s a feedback loop. You have to be happy and stable to attract stable, happy relationships — and a stable, happy relationship will build both partners up.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:10 PM
7

That’s good life advice for anyone no matter what’s between their legs. But that alone won’t lead you directly to happy relationships, if that’s what you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:09 PM
17

This should be the final post ever made on this sub. It’s idiotic beyond belief to think that we can generalize entire genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:08 PM

What I don’t understand is why people are so committed to proving this “truth”. What does it profit you?

Holy misogyny, Batman!
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 09:01 PM

You can maximize your odds if you’re deliberate about it. The divorce rate is high because of people who don’t think that hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 01:18 AM

It ain’t a rule just because you say it is, that’s the point I’m making. If people married solely or even primarily for practical reasons, your rule might hold some water.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 12:37 AM

Eh, my girlfriend makes just as much as I do and we never want to have kids. I have literally nothing to lose.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 12:27 AM

In many relationships, creating a long term goal like marriage will signal the end of the relationship. Of all the women I’ve dated, I’ve only discussed marriage with my current girlfriend — the other ones came around at the wrong time and aren’t people I’d marry, anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 12:25 AM

Nothing? We’re just exchanging ideas. All that takes is genuine consideration. It’s a debate sub, allegedly.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 06:21 PM

I’ll answer for my girlfriend since she doesn’t use Reddit: Not at all. If anything, it’s a bit higher. Not single. No periods or cramps. Cream pies are fun. Nope. (We do use condoms sometimes.)

I have no earthly idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 05:36 PM

Doesn’t work for you, or doesn’t work for anybody? If the goal is to have a happy, healthy relationship, a worldview that thinks of dating as inherently adversarial simply won’t work. That’s the red pill. Will red pill guys have sex? Sure, that’s not even hard. Will they be in loving, healthy relationships? Hell the fuck no lmao. It’s about a lot more than not being a virgin.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 05:35 PM

I suppose. I don’t think red pill is a route to lasting, durable happiness, but you do you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 05:27 PM

I don’t know how you’ve established that most people are… anything. Big group of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 05:26 PM

But like… does it work? I’ve had quite a bit of success as a “blue piller”. If the red pill was true, wouldn’t that be impossible?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 03:32 PM
1

And it goes for men, too. I know my gf isn’t objectively the hottest woman, but she’s that hot to me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 03:25 PM
2

That might be true, but people tend to marry at a young age when they’re still capable of having kids and enjoying their bodies.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 03:23 PM
4

By the time I can afford to get married, I’ll be about 30. That tracks.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 03:20 PM

And older would include men who are just a few years older than them… which is how marriage has literally always worked throughout human history.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 03:19 PM

I don’t believe that data is destiny, sue me. Anybody with a bit of charisma (which can be improved) can get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 03:17 PM

I have literally never, and I mean never met a woman with those requirements. Women aren’t stupid — they know as well as you do that fewer than 1% of men could meet that standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 07:39 AM
7

Yep, or they have been in the past/will be in the future.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 07:37 AM
9

Yeah I don’t know how people believe the “women only like 20% of men”. There are plenty of average dudes laying pipe right and left. Do redpillers not like… go to the mall? Or the grocery store? The couples you see there shatter the mythology into a million little pieces.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 07:02 AM

Coming from the guy who admits they don’t understand women lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 06:54 AM

No, there is not. I don’t want to date my inferior in any regard.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 02:16 AM

I think all of this over analysis is very weird. This sub seems very slanted in a red or black pill direction despite the name.

A successful relationship has no leader. Deprogram yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 02:13 AM
2

Prove that. It sounds like your personal preference. I’m pretty “high value” — that’s a gross way to describe people, but still. I’m over 6 foot, handsome, smart, fun, creative, make good money. But I love confident women. Stop speaking for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 02:12 AM

How can you say this so authoritatively? I don’t agree with that at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 02:10 AM

I was gonna say, I expect it!
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 01:22 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 01:21 AM

Who made you arbiter of what men want? You certainly don’t speak for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 01:20 AM
10

Except it often does. I demand that anyone I date holds a job. That’s a standard these days, at least among college-educated young men.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 01:19 AM
14

Right? I care very much about what my partner makes because one usually income can’t support two people these days. And I personally wouldn’t date someone who just doesn’t work. Gotta have some ambition whether you’re a man or a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 01:18 AM
1

Whatever you say, my man. Way I see it, I got it made, so you can have this.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 01:15 AM
1

It could be as simple as the fact that, on average, a man in a relationship is usually a few years older than the woman. So you’d have plenty of 27f-30m, 28-31, 29-32, etc relationships that skew the numbers. To go back a few comments, there aren’t enough “6 figure 6 foot” men to go around. Not that I think that’s what women really want. I’m only one of those things and it hasn’t been a problem for me (and that thing ain’t the money. I’d gladly be under 6 foot if I made 6 figures lol.)
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/23 01:10 AM
1

I just don’t think that data tracks. These women have to be dating somebody, no?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 10:55 PM
1

I mean, I have no stakes in the matter. I’ve only rarely had trouble dating as a much younger guy and not anytime recently.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 10:26 PM
-2

Currently single, or always single? That’s pretty normal to be in-between relationships. Beside that… it doesn’t make sense to blame women. The idea that women are simply too picky is, quite frankly, a bunch of bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 10:26 PM
3

I mean, I’m not going to send you pics, so… you either believe me or you don’t. No skin off my dick.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:54 PM
1

Yea except my girlfriend is hot. Cope buddy, cope.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:54 PM
3

Unmarried men tend to be younger, so it makes sense that they don’t make as much. Your income tends to rise with age. Here’s a good worked example, actually. I made 36,900 when I got out of college. Now I’m with the woman I intend to marry at 28 and I make 60,000. By the time we do marry, I will likely be at 70,000. (Which she currently makes, mind you. Money ain’t everything.)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:50 PM

Lmao imagine living with this much vitriolic bile in your head
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:48 PM
4

Well, guess I am lmao. My girl is always down.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:48 PM
2

Yep. The only reason I can see that people are having less sex is social isolation, which is a problem with how many connect solely online
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:34 PM
1

So… none? I don’t even lift. I dress pretty nice and I’m funny, that’s worked well for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:33 PM
2

You won’t find many people who deny that they think their partner is hot and that’s a big reason they like them. We are all sexual beings.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:31 PM
-1

Imagine thinking like this and wondering why you’re single.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:29 PM
1

And, coincidentally, I know like 2. One was always getting laid, the other became a priest.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:10 PM
1

Well, yeah. Men in their 20s and early 30s are still hot. Some guys look better at 39 than 29… but veeeeeeeeeeery very few. Money might make some women date them, but it won’t make them hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:10 PM
2

Because he seems to want something that’ll last. Dating people in their early 20s isn’t a good way to get that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:08 PM
4

In any event, the male American unemployment rate is historically low right now. As society grows both more complex and more isolated due to a reliance on digital communication, there will be more people who fail to thrive in that system. I think it’s possible that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, though — all we can and should do is make sure people have access to the necessary resources to help them along.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 06:06 PM
9

Oh no, thousands?! I also make thousands a month because that’s not that much money lol. Being on call for creepy dudes 24/7 is way worse than my job.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:56 PM

My girlfriend is gorgeous and works harder than me. I also have eyes and probably go out more than you… so yeah I contest it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:56 PM
2

Purpose is not extrinsic. Saying that your purpose is to provide for a woman or a family will not bring you happiness. That purpose must come from within. The only extrinsic or objective sort of purpose life can have is to survive, anyway. All else is subjective and socially constructed.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:55 PM
2

As a man, that sounds fucking terrible, glad that dating and getting laid happens on my schedule now.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:51 PM
3

But are they really? I know a plumber who literally has a polyamorous harem. The vast majority of men will date and marry just fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:51 PM
2

That’s a bunch of bullshit. Vast majority of men are dating just fine. You know this.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:50 PM
5

Society has no business promising companionship. You have to do that yourself by getting someone to like you. Any other system of finding companionship would be fundamentally inhumane. You realize women also have to work, right? And they also want companionship? Like… that’s not a men’s issue. Adults must work and they desire companionship.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:46 PM
1

I mean… why shouldn’t they be? Life is short and there’s nothing on the other side. I maximize my pleasure in any way that I practically can.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:44 PM
4

What’s missing is the proof for OPs claim that people are dropping out of the workforce because they don’t get laid. That’s clearly a bunch of bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:41 PM
2

Right? It seems like “old” means “shows literally any sign of no longer being a teenager” on this sub lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:39 PM
1

Hey bud, guess what? You can meet women in real life! What a concept.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:36 PM
1

I’m adding my opinion like you do in a message board lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/23 05:35 PM
10

How the fuck is a 27 year old woman old? Get a grip. I can tell you from personal experience that there ain’t much difference between sleeping with a 19 year old and sleeping with a 29 year old, except the 29 year old is better at it. Also, it’s 2023. Young women are more likely to own a house than we young fellas are. Because they have their shit together.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 07:35 PM
1

Wait… were you being sarcastic when you said “clearly all women are generally biased to… etc” above?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 07:31 PM

I can’t say that anyone I know sees me as “low value”. And that opinion isn’t affected by gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 06:53 PM
10

I’ve always dated people roughly my own age, so yeah. But also… what’s supposed to happen at 25 that’s so special? That’s still really young. It might not seem like it when you’re 21, but it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 06:52 PM
12

I’m an average looking guy and nobody I’ve dated has been any of those things, so that’s clearly nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 06:48 PM

That sounds like a personal problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 06:46 PM

Okay. You can be right, I'll be happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 02:38 PM

So you don't know what microcosm means. Thats fine, Ill use it in a sentence, maybe you can pick it up; This sub isn't a true microcosm of all men because it selects for the men who are less sexually successful than average.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 02:25 PM
1

Do you know what microcosm means?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 02:02 PM

I know precisely what's happening here. Guys with the same problem squadding up to moan about it. This place is not a microcosm of men everywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 11:54 PM
5

Weird homie. But also... kinda a slanted sample, don't you think? The most sexually active women will talk about sex more.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 06:24 PM

All the time. Wtf is up with yall? Go socialize or stop complaining about women, pick one.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 06:08 PM

I will never agree with someone who says it's good to be insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 06:03 PM

I only rarely meet people who have slept with more than 10 partners, let alone 20. Who the hell you talking to and why are you asking?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 06:03 PM
2

That sounds like a personal problem. Most of the women I've gone out with have been perfectly functional, nice people. Not always compatible, but not fundamentally flawed.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 06:00 PM
2

And so do some of the unstable ones, for a multitude of reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 05:58 PM

Conclude what you will. I'm left to conclude you'd rather be miserable but correct than admit you might be wrong and find hope.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 01:11 AM

Doesn't make that big of a difference, anyway. Short dudes online act like they can't get any pussy. Short dudes I know IRL get pussy. So I'm left to conclude that the online dudes just have poor social skills.

Are you certain you don't live in a bubble? You don't see a lot of terminally single dudes at places where people actually congregate. The fact is that celibate men are in the minority and it isn't close. I agree that height makes a difference, but nearly ALL of my friends, coworkers and acquaintances under 5'8"-5'9" have dated, many more frequently than me. So either you think they're extraordinarily attractive or wealthy (and they aren't) or I've met the luckiest short guys in history. We're t…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 01:01 AM
1

But they don't know I'm mixed unless I tell them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 10:47 PM
1

Can you specify what that difference is at all? Because it sounds like one of those "its different because I believe it affects my ability to date" things, like shorter dudes blaming their height for the fact that they don't get any dates. (When most young people in the real world date plenty, regardless if they're short or not.)
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 10:38 PM
1

But that's plainly ridiculous. You don't need a study to know that most people in their 20s are having sex with each other, height be damned. And I'm not having more sex or having it with hotter women than my shorter friends, either. Do you not see that in your day-to-day life? Legitimate question. Maybe people unknowingly self-segregate by looks and all my friends are all somehow unusually hot, but I don't think they are. Edit: nice sneak edit after I already replied Edit 2: and I'm guessing I …

How so? Strangers can't tell I'm not exclusively black. I've been called a n----r in public plenty of times, including once outside of a Chipotle.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 10:22 PM
1

They're doing it wrong. Because I'm a very average looking fella. I didn't always get good results until I changed my approach. Also, YMMV, but Bumble and Hinge have been much better for me than Tinder. (It also depends how you define beautiful. It's in the eye of the beholder, innit? If I were to play the gross looks rating game, they range between 6s and 8s. But that's to my taste, beauty isn't universal.)
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 10:21 PM
1

You said that if I was average in height, I'd need to make 140k more per year to be considered attractive. If it doesn't follow that someone of average height would need at least 140k per year in salary to be attractive, I'm not sure what you were trying to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 10:14 PM
1

Online dating, yes. I met the girl who I lost my virginity to in person (shout out to college radio, good people and better parties), but nearly every other girl I've dated was from dating apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 09:56 PM

If the conclusion of the study is that the average man has to earn high six figures for women to think he's attractive, it's so obviously flawed it doesn't bear discussion.

I had no idea all my shorter friends were so rich! (They're not. I'm giving you a hard time.) If you want to spend your time digging for excuses instead of living life, growing and finding happiness, I won't stop you. But know this; your height isn't your problem. I know plenty of shorter dudes with great girlfriends. I also know tall dudes who have sour attitudes and little success with women. It's your choice. It's your life. Do what you will, but don't be a whiner. I was a virgin at 21 becaus…

When I tell you I'm 6'1", you're going to say "well duh that's why you get girls hyuck hyuck". And you'll do that because, as an immutable bodily trait, it's a convenient catch-all excuse for shorter guys who don't and aren't introspective enough to figure out why. And now that I've said that, you're gonna pretend that wasn't where you were going with that line of questioning. It's all very predictable.

Oh, here we go. Nope, not going there, doesn't make a difference.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree. Seeing people as numbers or values isn't my bag, personally. I'm a "person of value" in a sense, but I didn't do it for women, I did it because I wanted a good life for myself. Sex and attraction is nowhere near as... mathematical or academic as Redpill makes it out to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 08:05 PM

Nothing substantially negative... except for never-before-seen levels of poverty that would make the Great Depression look like a blip on the radar.

And I'm saying that I ain't doing that again, whether I'd get caught or not. It seems we've reached an impasse.

I see a lot of Redpill stuff as "do this, say this, girls will like you" -- some of which can be helpful, but it also has an element of manipulation to it. It also tends to treat the act of having sex itself as the end goal, and that you have to kinda "trick" women into being attracted to you. And considering how misogynistic a lot of the progenitors of TRP turned out to be (like Roosh), it soured the whole thing for me. And just from personal experience, the friends I knew who adopted that beha…

But you do think men would always do it, even though I'd only do it the one time I already have because it made me feel worse (and it hurt my lover and ended our relationship). That's what I was disputing.

It'll bite you later, trust me. Viewing relationships as transactional is destructive to trust. It can help you break out of your shell, but its not a philosophy that views women as equal, so it harms long term happiness. Now, if you don't care about that right now, all well and good. But I think you'll mature past it, or I hope you do.

I wouldn't put it that way, as I never met the other girl. But it was the wrong thing to do and I'll never do it again. Hurting her was a mistake and it made me feel terrible, as it should.

And not for nothing, but I had much more success online after presenting the best version of my authentic self (nerdy, musician, stoner, writer) than I ever did presenting what I thought women wanted. Someone who is authentic, passionate, spontaneous and fun becomes more attractive, whether they're a lady or a guy.

You think girls don't do that too? 🤔 like, I'm no Liam Hemsworth. I've got a bit of pudge, I'm kinda skinny, pretty average face. And yet... beautiful women have been and continue to be involved with me. You will attract what you project into the world. And so bitterness and frustration will self-perpetuate.

Sex and dating ain't economics, man. Idk how to tell you that most guys your age are getting laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 07:21 PM

Honestly, you nailed it, but I'll go even further. It's straight up not that hard to get dates on dating apps. Unless I'm way more attractive than I think I am, I genuinely don't get what a lot of other dudes are complaining about.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 07:19 PM

Well, I'd say it's more like "single women are now possible to have sex with for free". Most men have no reason to visit prostitutes because we can find sexual partners.

Then don't nut in the lady? I don't follow.

Can't say I know any sexless men, and I'm a year old 26 man myself. Sing along at home now: If you can't get laid, it's your fault.

We must live in different worlds because I don't know ANY men who haven't dated at least a couple of times. It's the internet allowing uncommon things that happen to people to think their condition is everywhere.

Could be that we don't think God exists. Have you considered that?

Whole sub kinda seems like that as a new visitor, lol

Very few. Most men, like most women, are fully functional, active adults with busy lives.

Dating has been extraordinarily easy for me as a normal looking dude. The red pill is holding you back by making you both try to hard and act weird because of it.

Im with you man. This sub is a zoo of (mostly) dudes with hilariously strange ideas about dating.

So if you're functional, you're never single? That's nonsense lol

Speak for yourself, hombre. Rationalize your behavior how you will -- I've had my eye wander before and it hurt a girl I truly loved, and I'll never do that again.

I'm a man, and I do that too. Having standards is a good thing. And contrary to the prevailing opinion online, I've found women to be incredibly forgiving of my flaws, all things considered.

Though I disagree that liberal men are less chivalrous. We just have different definitions of chivalry. I'd defend women from assault, but I don't care to always rush to open a door first or do other trad chivalry shit.

But the economy would collapse without women in the workforce. You're 200 years behind, dude.

Lmao Joe ain't a pedo. Women also avoid dating you because you're delusional and confrontational when someone disagrees with you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
