I don't hold casual sex as a huge priority either. Things might change since you're still in college, but there's nothing to worry about if you stay true to your character. Stay confident with your core values and you'll attract others who respect that.

(Everyone else is already defending pickup, so here's some advice on your next few years remaining at school.) I remember when I started college; I was in the east coast surrounded by New England types in a bubble of a campus where dorm life was the only life. Being from LA and somewhat of an ethical stickler like yourself, my guard was up and I found myself really trying hard to classify things as right and wrong, surrounding myself with friends that I felt comfortable with. I feel that's natur…

Cakebread did have a point. I myself was skeptical of pickup from the very beginning. For me, it was always about self-improvement and rarely about "results". On another note: Cakebread, it's been a while; lemme know the next time you're going out!

I know it was a lot of texting. We've been texting back and forth like this for days though. I didn't have any intention to embark on a "road to sex". Just wanted to gauge what kinda girl she was and had a fun night out dancing on cinco de mayo.

You don't have to be the guy that wows the crowd or circle of people (not that it doesn't hurt to be that guy) because some girls aren't that great of dancers either. What you do need is to be confident in whatever it is that you're doing on the dance floor. You should be having the time of your life with the music and people around you whether you know them or not. If you just have a tough time with the mechanics of dancing or rhythm, listen to more music and practice dancing at home or in your…

lols yeah, yeah. To be fair though, it wasn't really because of her (ultimately, yes, it came across that way) but my friend that butted in and made me look like a jerk for leaving. In my head I was thinking "Damn it, can't look like a jerk after getting her number". I wanted to leave with a good impression. It did cost me, maybe even left the wrong impression. Always room for improvement. And I'm gonna be honest; kinda was hoping for Poker Face to play. haha ;) Po-po-po-poker face-po-po-po-ker …

Another problem I need to check is the way I "beg". I say things like "Do you want to _____?", leaving room for them to make all the decisions.

Thanks for the feedback. It's not like I was on my hands and knees, but looking back I guess I might as well have been haha. The comfort level might not have been all there, but if it was, what would be an example of a reasonable explanation?

Where are you taking your car to be serviced? Every oil change I've gone to has middle-aged mothers and their children in the waiting room. Maybe I should check out the car wash..

Here, here. All the times I had "game" in my head, I ended up pissing off the girl. I'm sure I'm just not reading the situation correctly or trying too hard, but I don't feel like myself. Either way, I probably just need more practice and learn from my mistakes. Negging's new to me and I think I overcompensate. You can't neg an HB<8 and get away with it without some resistance or outright rejection.

I recommend taking an acting class. It's there that I learned to be confident with myself and look at everyone in their eyes, acknowledge their humanity, and respect them for who they are. In the context of seddit, you can look at HBwhatevers and the intimidation just isn't there anymore. I also have a serious look on my face usually so, it's silly, but I've been making a lot of faces and smiling in the bathroom mirror. I hope muscle memory will do the rest when I walk out on the street or in a …

I fully agree with you when you say "Learning the game is about making your own style". I'm taking my time with all this material out there because I don't want to be a PUA. I just want to find my own best potential and run with it.

If you're not in it 100% there's absolutely no need for you to stay in anything fabricated to save your insecurity of being "alone". Break out of that AFC mentality. It's your choice when it comes to choosing what you want your new relation with her to be (or stay the same), but my advice is to do what's necessary to not let yourself be controlled by this LDR (worrying about her cheating on you, worrying about what she'd think of you breaking up just because of a friendly movie date, etc.) Get c…

Emphasizing what Culturalculdesac is saying, this seddit's more about self-improvement. So let's get you to stop being so insecure about losing her. It's not like you can do much to make her not go watch the movie with her friend. Go watch a movie with another girl you know. It's not that big of a deal if you have real confidence and self-esteem. [seddit, please excuse the following inner-AFC rant] I've been in a 5 year LDR and it was great and terrible. It's easy to get caught up in idealizing …

I ride the bus pretty often and rarely see an attractive girl my age. Subway game is pretty hard because it's hard to hear each other talking. Are you planning on calling her or was it just to catch a number?

It was a long drive back Downtown so we were chatting it up the entire way there. She seemed comfortable with me but maybe I was moving too fast for my own good and didn't gauge her well enough. What helps you get away from the scripted stuff? I feel like the best I can do is small talk that ends with a single answer on their end.

I made it my policy to never by a girl a drink. What should I have done differently to command her respect? I thought telling her to leave with me to somewhere more fun was establishing that role.
