I am in this situation where my soon to be ex wants to stay in the house for the kids which she has primary custody of due to school being close to house. We agreed she would stay she would pay mortgage and insurance and I’d pay half if any repairs. In our divorce documents it says we must sell the home after our youngest graduates high school in 4 years. Then it’s sold we sell the house get 50/50. I think this will work the house will increase in value and I’ll get more money from my investment…

My soon to be ex (waiting on those attorneys …sigh) her birthday is next week. I got her a card and a bar of dark chocolate. I do have kids and it cost me all in $3 but I’m a better person and it’s a simple gesture and looks good in front of the kids.
