As someone from the UK I think it just boils down to the individual. The majority of girls I met at uni were proud of being independent. I don't find it particularly helpful to make assumptions about people based on race or gender (most arbitrary things really). The world is a confusing place, and I've found judging people on individual merit to be the best way forward. I can't even remember my social life before university. It's seriously a game changer. Try joining societies that align with your interests (sports, gaming etc). I think the way I flirt is maybe too dickish? I probably come across as someone who's maybe over compensating, so when I'm flirting I might be a bit too harsh on the girl I'm trying to pick up. Be the best person you can be. If you think you should be working out more, you probably should be. It's a step by step process. Improve yourself for yourself, not for women. You'll naturally feel more confident and the girls will notice. I've recently joined a gym for the first time in a while.
