I may be overanalysing, but I find the language they use to describe the relationship interesting. Despite many examples given of her attacking him historically (and none given of him doing anything to her), they still say “the couple were in a violent relationship”, which to me implies it was two-way. Unless there’s evidence to the contrary, it sounds like he was in an abusive relationship, and it should be called as such.

At least the article mentions the Controlled Pay Gap. In the UK, that's barely ever discussed, and everyone clumsily uses the Uncontrolled stat - mostly because it makes for better headlines, and fits with the overall narrative that men are surpressing and holding back women. I'm sure there are still a few companies where there is a genuine pay gap - but as many others have said here, overall it's closed to almost zero, and there are cases where it swings the other way in favour of women.
