Women aren't an adversary. The OP doesn't need to trick women into being attracted to him; he needs to meet women so there's an opportunity for attraction to take place.

don't be fat, don't be loud, don't be unbearably arrogant, don't refuse to learn any German. On day one, it might not be possible to, e.g., not be fat. At least, OP should try for: Don't be fat in an annoying way. If you're fat, be a jolly fat guy not a "health at every size" fat guy. Don't be so loud that you annoy everyone. But if you have thoughtful, relevant, and appropriate things to say then say them so they can be heard. Don't be annoying-arrogant, but do be cocky-funny. If you can't hold…

Maybe it works for some people, but I have a million times more success in real life and don't understand why anyone would invest their time with online dating. Look, you even acknowledge that maybe it works for some people. Well, if it's working for those people then that's why they would invest their time with it.

I don't know how a woman evaluates a man in that situation. However, a woman who's gotten into better shape - I would appreciate the positive direction the woman's life had gone.

as such the "social hierarchy" has been constructed and I'm at the bottom. Who constructed the social hierarchy, who is maintaining the status quo, and why isn't is you? :) I started going to the gym last semester and since then packed on 16 pounds of muscle. This is an unreasonable amount of muscle to accumulate in half of a year without drugs. If you've gained 16 pounds, it's likely not been all muscle. After last semester though focusing on being social rather than work, my grades slipped. I …

If you're not likely to run into her again, you might as well text her. It's obviously not optimal and some girls will be turned off by it, but you really have nothing to lose. I think your proposed text message is fine - you're telling her how you got her number and communicating that you know you didn't make a strong connection with her yet, but that you're interested in doing so.

I live in Geneva and know people who work or worked for the UN, one of which was even the exact job we're discussing, a UN translator. I think that you are vastly underestimating the amount of skill and training required to work in this capacity. It's one thing to have a grasp of speaking and understanding the language in a way that isn't painful to a native speaker's ears, it's another to have a wide vocabulary that can convey the subtle differences of a language (e.g. immense versus gargantuan…

Maybe something like this in black? http://www.wolverine.com/US/en-US/Product.mvc.aspx/20591M/0/Mens/Mens-1000-Mile-Boot?dimensions=0 It's a pretty simple boot that's pretty universal since it doesn't have a lot of stitching on it. There's also variations with additional stitching. If you watch /r/frugalmalefashion, you can get factory seconds on sale for reasonable prices. See for example this sale that was earlier this year: http://www.reddit.com/r/frugalmalefashion/comments/1g7qk5/wolverine_1…

Respectfully, I completely disagree with your assessment. As sloppychris says, there is a lot of misinformation for free on the internet. Rippetoe's book does a much more thorough job than basically any free web page I know of. It goes into great detail describing five fundamental lifts and less detail on a dozen-ish ancillary lifts. This detail involves not just how to execute them, but why correct execution is congruous with the goals of the starting strength program. For many lifts which take…

Oh no, now when one approaches a girl and says "You're cute and I just wanted to talk to you" the girl will know she's being hit on.

I completely agree, and I think that's the point I was trying to make. He has a lot of experience interacting with women. He makes functionally correct statements on pick-up artistry (e.g.: "if you do this and this, you build attraction"). But (to my knowledge), he hasn't done academic-level work which suggests his understanding of women is correct. Returning to the example from the video, he offers no evidence or citation that hair-fidgeting is genetic rather than socialized. Rather, he's read …

I spoke on social dynamics at MIT Maybe I spend too much time in acadamia, but I took it to mean only that he was invited to give a talk. I still think that's a pretty big deal, especially for a non-academic at MIT. The point is mitigated because, I assume, he was invited as a celebrity, and not as an expert in the field. But I still think that's legitimate social value.

My grandpa used to let me "shake hands with the winner" when he beat me at cards. I think it would work to try some sort of kino based on something like that.

Field report. This isn't a typical field report. Usually it's a description of your interactions with others. We used to have a glossary of abbreviations, which is no longer listed...
