If you've taken a CPR course they should have emphasized it for single-rescuer CPR. If it's two person then it's a 30:2 compression/breath ratio. The pressure differential in the chest created by CPR will draw air into the airway, and lead to gas exchange in the lung's capillary beds. I work in emergency services. Dispatchers and 911 call takers don't use terms like 'person of color', they use black, Hispanic, Asian etc, because that's the best way to quickly and accurately convey information to fire/ems/law

I wasn't aware that domestic violence and rape were considered industries, it's been my experience (Firefighter/Paramedic) that they're legitimate social problems that affect both genders, although they tend to garner different responses from authorities, and the media. Side story, I still remember my first male rape patient. I had been an EMT for only a few months, and this poor kid was ridiculed by the cops, and unfortunately by the two other providers I was riding with that night.

I don't think I could do that. In this case, I would be hurting an independent small business owner, who has had enough problems lately without me adding to them.
