I assumed you 'chadfished' on something like tinder. Where you swipe either left or right. You claim you got 1 or 2 to say yes every week. I wondered what your success percentage is. So, how many women did you show interest in? Per week?

This was almost all of my relationships. The first, I don't remember what he did. I was 14 when I started to think he was attractive (only got into a relationship with him when I was 19). He just wasn't on my radar, until he was. Second one was a relationship that started online. Took a while before I found him attractive IRL as well. I had to merge his online persona with his offline persona, I think. Third one was a bit cliché: I saw him on a stage. He sounded very intelligent. Fourth one, he …

It's not mentioned more because it's bullshit. For example, the review article 'Same-Sex Domestic Violence: Prevalence, Unique Aspects, and Clinical Implications' has this to say: "Logistic regressions performed as part of a secondary data analysis of the National Vio- lence Against Women Survey (N = 14,182), indicate that SSDV rates are twice that of OSDV (Messinger, 2011). Using nonprobability sampling, lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) individuals in this sample were at increased risk for all …

So it's just the dating or marrying that feels gross on a visceral level, not the sex?

What about prostitutes? Would you say there's a large subset of guys who would never visit a prostitute?

The problem lies with them, there are so many good guys! All of my exes are great guys and I've hardly ever had a first date with an asshole either. But perhaps I have an above average asshole detector?

When my boyfriend (ex-boyfriends also) was tired or not in the mood. I've never been explicitly turned down for sex outside a relationship, just rejected when flirting or something. I don't know their reasons.

Yes I am, not because it would be gross or something, but because many, many prostitutes don't do it voluntarily. Even here, where it's legal, there are many problems with prostitutes who are, one way or another, manipulated and forced. While working in the red light district they get text messages from their pimps "Act happier!" "Smile more!", making it very difficult for (well meaning) customers to choose a prostitute that genuinely wants to be a prostitute. For me it's important that my partn…

Regarding the health stuff: - while I find the attention for breast cancer ridiculous, it is more common than prostate cancer and has a lower survival rate. Estimated deaths for 2016 for breast cancer are 40,450 women and 440 men, and for prostate cancer 26,120 (http://www.cancer.gov/types/common-cancers). All in all, getting taken more seriously doesn't seem like much of a benefit in the end. - health care is very much catered towards men, on whom almost all the research has been done, includin…

A bit like DemonConsulting, I was bullied and I noticed no protective instincts towards me. If it was gendered, it was the other way around. I was mainly bullied by boys. The girls mostly ignored me. The socially awkwards boys (who had each other as friends) ignored me as well.

I never talked about sex or anything of the kind with my grandmother. My mother mainly told me to practice safe sex, and that it would be OK if I was gay. That's about it.

I definitely don't hate sluts, but above certain numbers (100+?) I'd be concerned about someone, just like I'd be concerned about someone who works 90 hours a week. That's extreme behavior and the reason for it could be something unhealthy.

But how many women engage in so much casual sex? I have nothing against casual sex, and I 'only' had casual sex with 8 people. It's been 13 years since I first had sex, so less than 1 new casual sex partner per year. Why? First of all, a lot of the time I was in a relationship. Also, I don't always want to have sex when I go out. Most of the time, sex with an ex or even masturbating seems more attractive than with someone I don't know (of the 8 casual sex partners, only 1 would be a true one nig…

14, all piv, never done something like just a blow job (I might be old fashioned or something, but to me oral sex more intimate and not something I'd like to do with a stranger). I never lied about it, why would I? I wouldn't feel comfortable in a relationship with someone who has a problem with my number, whether he knows it or not.

It's only a consolation prize if the goal is to fuck as many young girls as possible with as little effort as possible. I don't think the majority of the males see that as their goal. I don't mean they'd absolutely hate it...it's just not what they're aspiring to. For example, a good friend of mine had a one night stand with a girl who turned out to be 19, when he was 28. That didn't feel right for him and after that he had only sex with older girls. He started out as FWB with his current girlfr…

I don't really care if a guy is a virgin, especially not in a ltr. For a one night stand I would find it a bit weird...not a good way to lose your virginity. I don't understand the appeal for guys either. Tearing open a pristine hymen and leaving an indelible impact that will stand the test of time. You're deluding yourself.

Someone sounding very smart turns me on. I once met a real rocket scientist at a birthday party, and before I talked to him I would have found him slightly too unattractive as a sexual partner, but after I found him definitely attractive enough (nothing happened though, I was in a relationship). But it was soooo cool that I could ask everything I wanted to know about rockets, and he explained it very well (indicating some social skill, also attractive).

It's epigenetic, but yeah, it has more to do with genes than your examples.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/16 06:32 AM
1

Did you read the rest of my post? A lot happens prenatally, and sonetimes during birth, that makes you born a certain way without it being genetic. Another example: if you mother has diabetes, you are probably a lot fatter if you are born. Has nothing to do with your genes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/16 06:07 AM
1

Being born a certain way does not make it genetic. For example, men with more older brothers have a higher chance of being gay. Has nothing to do with genetics, but the effect is prenatal (it happens independently of growing up with those older brothers).

I really don't care. My ex was a bartender with an useless degree (and he was the one who dumped me - over things not related to money). I care a bit more about education in a partner, and a lot about intelligence. Just not how much he earns.

I know some girls who care about that, and I don't understand them. My boyfriend is short, and that's just fine by me. I don't feel embarrassed when introducing him to people. He's smart and kind and handsome! I'm shorter than he is, but he has also dated girls who were taller than he is. I've also had one night stands with short guys. It's just one of those things I don't really care about. Neither does my sister, who is quite tall and has had shorter boyfriends.

I don't know if anyone knows exactly, but a lot of people could take an educated guess. I've never hidden anything. You do realize this is not a gender thing? I was bullied (the main bullies were boys, but there were also girls) and boys didn't care at all about how nice those girls were, and being nice myself didn't help me either with romantic/sexual stuff. Did I mention the main bullies were boys? Those bullies were and are now (frustratingly!) successful in their lifes. So much for karma. Well, to be fair I usually start with the blatant and obvious signals, and I only progress to outright asking when 1. he does seem interested and 2. he doesn't ask me out, and I get a little frustrated. Since I like shy guys, that happens sometimes. Someone has to do something (asking out, kissing, etc.), and although I could never escalate physically, I can muster up the courage to ask. This all sounds as if I've dated a lot, but I haven't really. I was in LTRs for most of my twenties.

The most explicit rejections happened a long time ago. It hurt a lot, of course! It was a long time ago, when I entered my 20s I got better at estimating my chances and it never got to the point of 'no, I'm not interested in a date with you' anymore. But of course sometimes I liked guys and they didn't like me back, and sometimes the other way around.

No, I've just never fallen for the most popular men. My last three boyfriends all had an n-count of around 10 (all had both relationships and a few one night stands) when I met them, but weren't being pursued by others at that time (to my knowledge). They're definitely not ugly or low quality. Just not crazy popular party people, or models or whatever. In all cases, I did most of the work (asking for a date etc.). I'm not shy in that way.

My Dutch feminist friends definitely weren't silent (and me neither). Where are you from? Maybe Germany is just too far away, all people tend to care less about stuff that happens far away. I think women who say no when they mean yes are partly responsible for men misreading cues and crossing boundaries with them and other women. Slut shamers (m/f) likewise play a part in women's behaviour of trying not to seem too easy. Of course, it's OK to change your mind about sex (most people think at some point 'I'm not too tired after all'), but it's so stupid to say no when you mean yes and expect the other party to dismiss your no! It happened only once, in a mild form, when my N was 3 and I was 17. A friend told me that with my behaviour, some people might call me a slut. She used a weird, archaic expression for 'some people' (untranslatable to English, I'm afraid) and I was mainly surprised at that, not really concerned with the content of the message. I thought about it later, not feeling a lot, but just thinking 'Am I a slut? Is that a bad thing?'. It didn't affect my behaviour. I've noticed that slut shaming is more d…

I'm 55. My ex-boyfriends were 61, 510 and 61, my current boyfriend is 5'7. Average height for men in my country is 6'0, so very few men are shorter than me. The ideal height for me would be between 57 and 510, so a little below average. Taller and shorter than that would be slightly unattractive, but it's definitely not a deal breaker.

I'm not really afraid of the wall, but I know I will become less physically attractive - just like men. I don't care how often people say men age like wine, I don't see it. My mother, 58, started online dating a few years ago, and she was overwhelmed by messages from men of all ages. Admittedly, the very young ones just wanted sex. I have no idea why other women don't do it! I've done it, worked great. Got rejected sometimes, that sucks, but (normal) people get over that. It's better to ask someone out before you've really fallen in love, that way the asking isn't as nervewracking and the possible rejection isn't as painful.

Yes. It's partly just getting used to looks, and that takes time. Even people I think are extremely ugly and never become attractive to me, get less ugly over time. Apart from that, some characteristics are very attractive, mainly intelligence and kindness.

I've never wanted someone who's perfect, just someone who I'm compatible with. In most aspects, I want someone who's similar to me. That means: not too focussed on looks, but also not overweight (skinny fat is acceptable). Intelligent, but not overly ambitious - I like spending time with my SO more than I like having a big house and a fancy car.

To me, both intelligence and knowledge are incredibly sexy. In fact, the only time I've had sex with a redpillesque guy, it was because he was extraordinary intelligent. I am used to having to dumb down a little in certain aspects, but with him I could use everything from medical jargon to biblical references and he just understood and made intelligent remarks. It was soooo relaxing. Too bad he is an asshole.

Not really instead of a relationship, but if I am single and not romantically interested in someone, it's the only option for getting sex. Yes! No, and I haven't seen it happening a lot either. No, and I haven't seen it happening a lot either. I think I've kinda always wanted it. Every time I fell in love since I was...10 or something, there was this hope (although not the expectation) that he was The One. I'm not floored... I agree the men you described. In a committed (monogamous) relationship, this is the only resource for sex for me. So I really really want it to to be at least reasonably good, preferably great, and quite frequent. It's definitely partly a cultural (American) thing. Height doesn't matter much here. My boyfriend is 5'7 which in my country is really quite short, but I don't care and apparently his previous girlfriends didn't either. Most or all feminists I know are in favor of legal prostitution. I'm on the fence. Prostitution is legal in my country, and still there are so many prostitutes who are underage, forced, intellectually disabled, and/or of course, addicted. So legalization doesn't seem to solve all these problems. But I definitely support the concept.

I was just wondering how the distribution of beta and/or low SMV men and women are, when the average beta male it 'pretty healthy' and 'may even be in good shape'. What percentage of adult Americans fit this discription?

Weird, I've heard a lot that I think and talk too often about the questions you describe. My sister is one of the few people I know who like to think these kind of things through (as far as that's possible), although my ex-boyfriend - with a major in philosophy - also didn't mind.

I know a guy, and it's mostly looks (and being not too dumb/annoying) and having the guts to approach women. Poor guy really just wants a relationship, but somehow he can't make them stay.

I think you're right. Personally, I feel like my insecurity is rational: I don't delude myself by thinking I'm different or better than others, and thus less vulnerable to bad things happening, but of course we all rationalize our feelings.

I wouldn't be thrilled about a promiscuous man (wouldn't be a dealbreaker though), and I think that's because I'm quite risk averse. I don't have a problem with someone calling that insecurity.

It's not exactly shyness or social awkwardness, but I first really noticed my boyfriend when I saw how nervous he was about a kind of practical test we were both about to take (in med school). He just looked terrified and his hands were shaking...he looked exactly like I felt, and that created an instant connection (and attraction).

I don't fake/perform much with respect to making more noise (which means that I'm pretty quiet most of the times), but almost everything I do, for example meeting his thrusts, is for his sake, not mine (a rhythm that gets him of, not me). I do tell him what I like (and luckily I orgasm easily), but 95% of the sex is trying to do what he likes. I think that in the end, this could lead to a DB, and honestly, I don't know how to fix it. I just automatically go into performer mode, and it makes sex …

This applies to STR's/LTR's I've had: All were intelligent (but level of education varied), witty and rather sensitive. All had similar worldviews as me (which, among other things, would mean they were BPers), cared about society, the environment, etc. Some were politically engaged. None were smokers or heavy drinkers. None were fat (but I've been in love with a fat guy once - he didn't love me back). I don't think these are all qualities other women are looking for - but like attracts like.

I do like nice, kind guys. Every guy I dated was nice. They had also other positive attributes.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/15 10:25 AM

I've never dated a guy who was shorter than me (I have been in love with one, but that was unrequited), but that's just because I'm rather short and people in my country are very tall. The average man here is 19 cm taller than me, so it's not easy to find one that's shorter. My boyfriend is just 3-4 cm taller, so definitely shorter than average, but I don't care. Edit: my sister is very tall and she's had multiple boyfriends who were shorter.

OK, explain: would I downplay attractiveness because my relationship is longer or shorter? Because I'm older or younger (I guess you're going with older here, post wall, so not able to attract alphas?)? Because I've had sex with no other men, a few men or a lot of them?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/15 06:53 PM

I will answer those questions, but first I want to know why you ask them and what you expect. Just so you can't make up something that fits 'Oh, you're still young so....' or 'of course, as a post wall woman....', or 'since you never/clearly rode the cock carrousel, I knew you'd...'

TRP'ers in general tend to be pragmatists. We believe what's true, not what makes us feel good Of course I can't look in your head, but it seems to be the exacte opposite. It looks as if TRP is build around protecting ego's ("It's not your fault, it's the stupid womens' fault!") and giving hope ("Just read these books, lift, use dread game and you will succeed!"). Some even call it a safe male space. That's perfectly fine, but just admit it's all about feelings.

I think you're exaggerating the difference between male and female attraction. Why would the fappening be such a thing if men don't care about fame? Why would a film as awful as Magic Mike have any success if women care about so much more than looks, when the characters exhibit nothing beyond that?

Muscle definition is dependent on fat percentage. I already said that I don't like fat guys, hence my dislike for the dad bod.

Since I've been in ltrs with boys/men who've never visited the gym in their life, but are otherwise pretty active, I know what kind of body that creates, and it's the kind I prefer. Your point doesn't apply to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/15 08:45 PM

I guess I just meant using your body for something 'useful', at least something else than just getting bigger muscles. Walking or cycling to get somewhere, playing football (or should I call it soccer here?) for fun, lifting heavy stuff because it needs to be moved, etc. That kind of things, preferably daily. Combined with healthy eating, it won't make you big, but you wouldn't be fat either. I prefer more slender men. Mind you, no dad bod, just youthful and rather slim.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/15 06:25 PM

I wouldn't call it unnatural, but it's not the most natural form of physical exercise, and - nor the one that creates the best bodies, in my opinion.

But that is exactly what a lot of men do, too. Women are the ones who have a reputation for apologizing (too much) and taking the blame for all kinds of things. I don't necessarily believe that men don't own up to their faults, but it's strange that your experiences are the opposite of that what most people see.

A common explanation (not saying I agree with it per se) for a better acceptance of women doing stereotypical male stuff compared to men doing stereotypical female stuff, is that we all have a better opinion of stereotypical male stuff. Assertiveness, dominance, etc are the road to success for both men and women.

My mother (59) found a very nice, slightly younger (52) and reasonably attractive widower through Internet dating. My mother isn't super hot 'for het age', she isn't fat, but very practical, not very concerned with her looks. He's the same way. It seems they're very happy together, blissfully unaware of how she has hit the wall a long time ago and he should have started lifting and getting 20 years younger plates.

A big reason for thinking this stems from the RP'ers themselves, when they talk about their experiences with women. Assuming they they don't lie or exaggerate, they keep meeting very weird, damaged, crazy women (and then proclaim 'AWALT!').

I think most people begin with a more transactional kind of relationship when they start dating, and if everything goes well, it evolves into a relational relationship. In these countries, children are mostly raised by their mother. An educated mother will teach her children (both daughters and sons!), more than a father would, simply because she spends way more time with them. Well, this study shows feminists show less hostility towards both men and women than non-feminists: https://www.psychologytoday.com/files/attachments/5173/pwq2009.pdf For me, being a feminist means, among other things, judging people by their actions, regardless of gender. Be honest and kind to yourself and to others. That's basically it. Being honest and kind to yourself should ensure reasonably healthy behavior in the broadest sense: safe sex, not doing things you really don't want (sexually and more in general), surrounding yourself with good people. I'd say he acts like he wants something a bit more serious from those girls, while they are clearly looking for something casual. It's not the same as being unhappy. but single men tend to die younger than married men, and married women die younger than single women. My friends are my friends because they are kind people that I could talk for ages with (mostly about politics and science, also our personal lives - for those who don't understand what men and women could possibly talk about). I'd really like to have sex with some of them, and I guess some of them (but definitely not all of them) would like to have sex with me. But that's all not happening because of relationships/incompatible sexual orientations/being too shy/…

You sound way more emotional than would be expected if it was just about the money. Why?

It's not like all women are going to apply. Candidates can and probably do estimate their chances beforehand, and there is no reason to believe women overestimate themselves more than men - quite the opposite.

I don't think standards should be lowered for women (but they shouldn't be higher than necessary for the job, of course), however, I don't think there are jobs that no woman ever could do*. Very, very few women perhaps, or women with abnormal hormone levels or something like that, but that's not the same as no women whatsoever. *Except for jobs that require the production of sperm, I guess.

Well, I'm a feminist and I admit I have rape fantasies. I also have very satisfactory (non-sexual, just to be clear) fantasies about torturing my very loud and annoying neighbour. Both bear absolutely no resemblance to what I'd want to do (or be done to) in real life.

1>2>3 for me. Mainly, I want someone very smart (verbally), because that's more fun to me, and he has to be a 'good person' (someone who cares about the world), and he has to be physically attractive enough for me to want to have sex with him, but I've fallen in love with not too handsome guys before. I couldn't care less about the career/money. I'll take care of that anyway.

I don't think I've ever really put up LMR in the way you describe, but I do get more passive as I get closer to a serial experience with someone I've never had sex with before (to the point of neither being able to initiate, nor to decline), and that's just out of fear. Sex with a new partner is scary, and I go through with it because I know I'll probably enjoy it (maybe directly, maybe in few times) and I don't want to disappoint him, but if I'd say what I think at such a time, it would be some…

But if women can write through the lens of a male protagonist, and men can't do the opposite, this indicates that women are better at empathizing with men than the other way around.

Turn ons for guy one: Challenging Teases Independent Turn ons for guy 2: Dependable Affectionate Can take a joke Sensitive Forgiving Turn offs for guy 1: Unpredictable Daring Cocky Insensitive Selfish Entitled Tempestuous Turn offs for guy 2: Sacrificing Needy So yeah....guy 2 wins. But luckily, most guys are somewhere in between. :)

I was very surprised when my fairly reasonable and blue pill ex-boyfriend said he didn't read books with a female protagonist - he just couldn't relate. I wonder why - is it just because it's quite easy to avoid books with female protagonists, and thus never getting used to it? Not that there's a lot to get used to....

Isn't taking something to its logical conclusion taking more or less the same as taking something literally? Apart from that, I mostly agree, though I tend to see 'be yourself' more as 'be yourself - unapologetically' than 'be the best version of yourself without lying about who you are'. Both are decent advice in most cases.

I have no idea how you managed to read that into what I wrote. I just said that men with low smv is very diverse group, the only common factor being that I don't want to fuck them, so the question seems quite strange to me. I guess wanting to fuck someone improves their value to you in a way, but there is a myriad of ways people can be valuable. I think your male friends are of more value to you than a women with high smv, even though you don't want to fuck them? Most of the friends I have that …

Does every man I don't find attractive have low SMV? I mean, this is a group ranging from war criminals I never met, to some of my best friends. Obviously, they don't all have the same value to me. Men I don't find attractive are like women, I suppose (since I'm also not attracted to women). Good for a plethora of fun stuff, just not sex. I feel as much sympathy for male acquaintances as female ones. Perhaps the best example: I have some gay friends that I would definitely have sex with if they …
