This is a throwaway I don't use much but just logged in on a whim today. It ended up being pretty much a straight 50/50. Some statutory maintenance since I made a lot more but I didn't have to pay any of her legal fees. In the end it was what we could have figured out in about a week of mediation, since I wasn't going to fight 50/50, but she wanted it to suck for me so it did. Oh well. I'm realizing I've made the mistake of thinking that the court system works to fairly consider the interests of both parties but I'm learning better, lol. Obviously I wouldn't want my ex to be destitute on the streets but she's working full-time and has already relocated out of state at this point. I know it's a little naive of me to be so shocked that the legal system doesn't deliver justice, but it's frustrating.
