Yep. Hired guns are great to practice with because being nice is usually part of their job requirement. I 100% support engaging with hired guns not only will it improve your game it will also make the world a better place

I don't even game so you probably shouldn't listen to me but I find going to live music (concerts, festivals, djs etc) makes it much easier for me to feel comfortable and actually have fun.

I would suggest not putting them behind your back as this can cause your conversation partner's "lizard brain" to warn them that you might be concealing a weapon out of sight. This makes sense if you think about how our brains evolved over hundreds of thousands of years to protect us from danger.
