I do think it's pretty evenly cut down the middle (although I think that's just recently; previously, women have had to deal with wayyyy more shit than men have, and still do in non-western countries), but the person I first replied to said they think men go through more shit than women, which isn't true.

Cops are allowed to use their discretion when making an arrest though. If a cop catches some teenagers with a few grams of weed on them, he's allowed to just confiscate their stuff and tell them to get the fuck out of there. It's not like they HAVE to arrest them.
