That second article was possible one of the most offensive things I've ever read. Holy shit it was bitter.

The most upvoted comment in r/politics realized that this was a joke. Successful troll was successful.

We live in a society where we protect the vulnerable. This isn't about who is to blame, it's about being able to provide for a vulnerable child. That is why the state designed the program this way.

Yeah, but you see the difference is, prior to the child being born, it is about the woman's choice about her body. There is only one person in question here. When the child is born they are now a new person, and the more fundamentally important thing here is for this new person to be taken care of. I'm not saying it is fair, but that is life. The child didn't ask to be born one way or another, and regardless that child is here and in our society we take care of them. Your view is ridiculously sh…

Financial "abortion" doesn't make sense because child support isn't about the woman, it is about the child, and whether or not you wanted it. You made a child and its both parent's responsibility to take care of the child. Then again, that's the world I live in. We also live in a world where there is many choices made prior to a child being born. Yes women get to make some choices you cannot, but you had agency on all the choices prior to that.

Concerning number 17, it isn't the fact that women are "less driven to suicide", that implies there is some sort of external mechanism causing men to kill themselves. In fact most scientists believe women are less internally inclined to suicide for biological reasons. Actually, the wording on a lot of these are questionable in their neutrality. You may want to consider that if you want to be taken seriously.

I don't know, in my specialization we actually study the data to try and figure out what causal mechanisms are for certain phenomena. Simply observing the world doesn't account for endogenity in certain variables or other underlying mechanisms. Then again I am a girl and from birth I have been sheltered from risk in this world i do not have a hope to understand. Why don't we just not bother? Why don't I NOT bother speaking language anymore dfmklajs djFHJKDSHKFLJDSFljdf

You vastly underestimate the amount of risk a woman faces throughout her life. You realize there are different dimensions of risk? Anyways, the earliest statement still isn't true. Women collectively and quantitatively tend to be more risk averse then men in certain types of decision making. This is pretty evident in decisions regarding finance and derivative pricing.

This isn't actuarially true though. But what do I know, I'm a girl and what is a risk?

Oh fuck off. I provided you the sources for my data. That is the whole point of a bibliography, to provide the reader the means necessary for them to verify and see your citations. You can go to any of those papers, look at their models, methods and abstracts. Rather than fill pages and pages, I left you the means to go and see. I'm not going to copy and paste a shit ton of econometric models in order to prove your wrong. Someone already went through the trouble to format it in the paper they pr…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
