And the employer will still need to notify the designated contact that the company has on file for if something goes wrong involving an employee while at work. Generally, the notification is something like "X has happened, Person has been seen to by paramedics and have been transported to hospital Y". I'm on the fence about this...... Firstly, it doesn't take much to answer which hospital they're transporting their employee to.... The company still has a duty of care to the employee being transported, and that includes following up with next of kin contact to advise where their employee has been taken. Secondly, I've never had a paramedic refuse to give such basic info... Seems like both have been snowflakes and should handle this like bloody adults.

I'm in Australia - and it happened to me. Twice. Turns out both had severe mental issues - but it didn't stop me having to defend myself in court. One was dismissed in pretrial and I was awarded $20k in costs (which didn't cover the costs, but stopped me from going bankrupt). These allegations were made 7 and 11 years after they were apparently committed. The second went to a jury trial over 7 days. Took the jury 30 minutes to find me innocent on all charges. Its left me with massive trust issue…
