The logical course of action according to their worldview is for men to either be with men or for men to patronize sex workers, but they despise gays and sex workers. The funny thing is they are so deeply inculturated into a patriarchal view of the world while claiming to be the enlightened ones.

Because patriarchy =/= men. It's a hierarchal system of ordering society by ranking who is important. If patriarchy as a term is going to muddle our understanding of each other instead of provide clarity, then let's replace it with traditional gender norms. Gender norms that are upheld by society box in both men and women. Sometimes they are influenced by real, observable differences in men and women. On average, men are taller than women. But this observable average gets translated into the gen…

I mean, the incel thought is the whole 666 claim. That the only guys getting laid are foot tall with six pack abs making 6 figures. You're not really talking about that. You're talking about the reality of being a below average man who doesn't fit the patriarchal society's standards of masculine attractiveness. And it is difficult. But I do know a few 5' to 5'2" men that have had partners. I wouldn't say you'll never be found physically attractive. It will just be less so than other men, and tha…

For one, the idea that women are just having so much of an easier time finding casual relationships or sex is purely a "vibes" argument. It's just not true. There's so many women who feel lonely and overlooked when it comes to attention from men. This is one of redpill's biggest lies. I don't know the actual data but I do know women are as lonely as men, as insecure, as overlooked. You are saying you don't even know how many other boyfriends a girl has had and yet you convince yourself that ther…

No, it's not controversial but it's not a sign of men being healthier. I don't know if it means that women want commitment from those men any more than the men do, which you seem to be taking as a given. Let's just talk through this whole "women gatekeep sex and men gatekeep relationship" idea you've got going on here. Men and women are not monoliths. The idea that all women are secretly looking for a commitment from every man who will sleep with them is just not true. Women often want casual no…

By asserting that men are less selective, aren't you really just saying that men are settling? They'll get with anyone who agrees, but that doesn't mean that they really want that woman. I mean, that's not exactly flattering for a woman. It seems like this is a fear born out of you not thinking that you are a person worth choosing. This is probably a combo of attachment wounds and parts of yourself that you don't like. Which makes the approach two pronged: acceptance and also self improvement. I…

If you can't afford therapy right now look into some books geared around CBT, DBT, or ACT. These are all different theraputic approaches that are helpful for intrusive thoughts. Most have workbooks that you could purchase without having to find a therapist and pay for therapy.

For the same reason people have used made up genetic inferiority to subjugate one group of people under another. If you're going to exploit someone it's necessary to dehumanize them in some way. Otherwise our moral conscience objects.

But sometimes it's not that you're ugly or boring it's just that you don't light our fire. Attraction is complex. There's so much in between disgusted by and getting a lady boner from. Would you really want a woman who finds you just fine but not compelling to her to say that you're horrible?

It doesn't offer women protection though. Only the guise of protection. Do Ukrainian women feel safe and protected? American women don't.

It's also interesting that men don't protest the draft. I wasn't alive till the 80's but my understanding is that men and women protested the draft after Vietnam in roughly equal numbers. It's not like many women really want their friends, brothers, sons, husbands to go fight and die in wars they didn't start. It's not like women are campaigning for men to die so they can live peacefully.

For sure not all women consider themselves feminists. Some like the idea of the benevolent patriarchy. Most who do don't realize what a house of cards it is, how the "protection" of the benevolent patriarchy isn't free, and how it's not so benevolent if you don't fulfill the ideal gender role prescribed for women. A gilded cage is still a cage, though some are OK in there because it's gold. Are you out there protesting for the rights of women?

I don't know about Ukrainian women but I'll say in the US most feminists fall into 1 of 2 camps; those that think no one should be drafted because the draft is inhumane and those that think women should be drafted the same as men. It's also mostly for male-superiority reasons that only males are drafted. When countries think women are weaker and not good soldiers. When countries need women to live to make more humans for the draft and for baby-making. Countries see regular men as expendable to p…

Most women who care about height difference just want the man to be taller than them, so at your height you are taller than probably the majority of women. Redpill lies. They sell you the problem so that they can sell you the solution. I feel like everybody knows at least one "short dude" who bangs a lot. But at the core of your problem is low self esteem. If you believe that no woman will want you, you will look for and find evidence to confirm it while discounting evidence to the contrary. It …

It's projection and a blind spot working at once. The societies we live in devalue all humans. Men are objectified for as soldiers or worker bees, women are objectified as sexual and reproductive vessels. To men who have been conditioned to believe that the mark of manhood is the ability to get with women, it probably does feel like women are valued in a way men aren't. Yet when women step out of the prescribed femininity roles, they aren't valued for that. Just look how redpill devalues single …

Friendship is also based on authenticity which is near impossible when your sense of self relies on feeling superior to everyone around you. You can't be yourself if you're constantly trying to prove dominance, and people won't feel like they can be themselves around you and won't want a deep friendship.

Thing is the red pill/black pill creates the very thing you fear. Women (and men) will leave a bad relationship for a better one. Just like you would leave a bad job for a better one. People prioritize their happiness. This is not some conspiracy. Most women will not leave a good relationship they are happy in for someone richer or hotter. But when partner A is in constant fear that partner B will leave them for someone better, eventually partner B gets tired of being in a relationship with part…

This. They don't believe it's possible to be liked, loved, or valued for the sake of being a person, so they look for someone who will need them. They need someone below them to feel strong. It's sad, like it makes me sad for them, but also then they often hurt women and other people, especially people deemed "below" them, so I lose that compassion. Lots of hurt people don't hurt or oppress others.

I could be on board with this if you swapped happy for being content or at peace with yourself. I don't like the idea of tying emotional states to morality. But tying it to the way we relate to others fits better. There's also the circular nature of the systems we exist in. We live a dominator culture, which breeds discontent, and because we're discontent it fuels the instinct to dominate. If we could somehow create a world of abundance so that the need to dominate to secure resources was eradic…

I think it's a fallacy that their life is easier than yours just because they have better social skills and are more successful hooking up than you. I mean, you just told us that one's an alcoholic and one's a porn addict. Both numbing activities, maladaptive coping mechanisms. So perhaps their life isn't so easy after all if they have turned to these vices to cope. Something to consider.

Here's what chatGPT said about shit tests: A "shit test" is a term often used in dating and relationship advice, particularly in the context of pick-up artist (PUA) communities or certain relationship dynamics. It refers to a situation where a person (typically a woman, but it can apply to anyone) intentionally tests their partner or potential partner by saying or doing something challenging, provocative, or dismissive to gauge how confident, strong, or emotionally secure that person is. You keep a woman's respect by being respectable and by respecting her. Start by being a man that you respect. Think about how you would want to be treated. Women's respect or disgust of you has everything to do with how you treat them and little to do with your height and car. How you think of them matters too. Attraction doesn't always make sense. Sometimes you just don't click with a person sexually and that's OK. The question is do you want to remain in the relationship with a person you're not sexually attracted to, and does your partner? It's best to be honest even if that means losing the relationship. A relationship built on false pretenses is going to be unstable, always.

Most of redpill's sources on evo psyche are total garbage. In short, early nomadic people were quite egalitarian as far as gender roles and it wasn't until agriculture and sedentary societies made hierarchies did gender roles emerge. Women did not evolve to seek out the highest status men and men did not evolve to be providers and protectors. What you think of as gender roles are social constructs that vary wildly by region and economic class.

Women don't want to support a dude who just plays video games all day in the basement, but they also don't want to have a dude think that just because a man makes more money than her then he gets to boss her around either. Relationships are evolving. Women don't need a man to be bigger, stronger, smarter, and more capable (and thus bring home the bacon) to find that man respectable. I wonder if you're conflating different things. If people are just looking for hookups and one night stands, the main quality that's going to attract people to each other is looks. This is something both men and women, straight or other, do. If you're talking about relationships, personality matters a lot more. Generally people don't stay in relationships with people who have bad personalities or are jerks. This is also something both men and women do.

/r/ExRedPill13/01/24 10:22 PM

That kind of proves my point, does it not? Did women just suddenly evolve within the last 60 years to be the ones who seek out multiple sex partners in their youth and then marry a less ideal man, suddenly beating out the men who used to do the same thing? If all men were just taking whatever they could get, why is the idea that men need to settle down and stop playing the field so common among older generations?

Perhaps men treating her badly is all she's ever known of men and so she just assumes mistreatment is the price of admission if she wants to love a man. If her sisters are also surprised to meet a kind man then it may be something to do with her family of origin. Not to lean to hard on the daddy issues trope but the way our parents treat us teaches us what kind of love we think is acceptable. It's not that women are addicted to bad boys. It's that we assume that's all there is.

They have an abbreviation for all women are like that and by "that" what I can decipher is that they believe women are nothing but gold golddigers, incapable of love, not able to think rationally, and worthless after 30. Feminists, contrary to some opinions out there, do not believe that women are better than men nor hate men. Feminism is about women having equal capacity and opportunity as men to make their own path in the world. Feminism is about equality, redpill an…

Anyone can leave a relationship for any reason they want. Personally I think this is kind of shallow, I wouldn't do it. But I also wouldn't want to be with a man who was only attracted to me with a specific hairstyle so he'd be doing me a favor. Are we talking shaving a whole head of hair off?

Whenever the question is "do all women/men want X" the answer will always be no. Redpill fails to recognize people are individuals instead of cartoonish stereotypes of a binary understanding of gender.
/r/ExRedPill07/04/23 12:28 PM

Of course you aren't wrong for that. What redpill deems as natural laws of what women are attracted to is made up pseudo science. You are allowed to have your own standards for a man's character. If his values don't align with yours, don't date him.

People don't realize the harm this does to victims. And they do it because it gives them their own false sense of security. If they can pinpoint exactly where OP went "wrong" then they can avoid doing that "wrong" thing and thus avoid the bad thing happening to them. It is unfortunately a very human reaction.

That's...horrifying. What a toxic take on life. It could have been so promising. I think there's merit to the idea that the way you think about yourself will influence decisions you make, like hanging out with a person who is a walking red flag because you have low self esteem. But what you described is a horrible version of that. Someone abusing you is always the choice of that person.

The truth is trying to be good enough for any person or type of people is always going to make you feel like this. This is the downside of belonging to a world that is both a meritocracy and afraid of human emotions, especially the negative ones. Observing that there are measured differences between the man and women on average is not sexism. Sexism would be saying that men are inherently better and more important than women because they are statistically physically stronger on average.

Well, they don't see women as whole people, that's why. And unfortunately they've got almost the whole of human history as an example that shows them this is the "natural order." Sex carries more risk for women, so women are usually pickier about who they choose to have sex with. Women don't have as much prompting from their bodies to go out and seek sex, however women often have a higher capacity for sexual pleasure and enjoyment. I've never understood this either. Why do we perpetuate systems that we don't actually like? It's like, if we as women don't want men to tie their self esteem to how many notches are on their bed post, and so in turn treat us like conquests, why would we use "not getting laid" as an insult? I think humans often want to hit people where they know it will hurt, even if it's to their own detriment.

The average woman nowadays would rather be single than have a man "support" her (aka own her). You're making a false dichotomy between male providers and male leeches. There are relationships among equal partners. Women and men do not need each other anymore so this whole argument of who supports who is null in void. I could have easily divorced my husband, but he's more to me that just what he provides for me. He loves me and we are partners and most importantly, friends. And he rocks my world …

Your dad didn't want to have any kind of relationship with you and you think he fulfilled his moral obligation to you by sending you child support? Why did he have unprotected sex with a woman not his fiance? Takes 2 to tango kid.

I give up. You refuse to see any possibility beyond what you deem to be absolute truth. Maybe you should try listening to women instead of telling them what their life must be like.

Also this is a huge problem with red pill ideology, the fact that they take all emotion out of sex and reduce it down to commodities. Sex is not a thing you provide, yet redpillers make it a commodity all the time. Do you really think it makes women feel good about themselves when redpillers like you don't see them as anything more than "supplier of thing that I want"? Why you on an ex redpill sub when you are very much still a redpiller?

You aren't even making sense, and you are trying to define how an entire gender feels about themselves based on the actions of the other gender. You seriously don't believe it's possible for a woman to have self worth problems that prevent her from wanting/seeking sex with people? Is that what you are saying?

It makes no sense to correlate emotions (self-esteem and self-worth) to supply and demand. People are people not commodities.

Given the fact that the vast majority of sex workers are women, there is no doubt that men are desperate for women, any woman. I don't see how this disproves the possibility that women can have low self-esteem and low self-worth and therefore not seek out or have many sexual partners.

A guy seeking to bed many and near any woman is possibly also suffering from low self worth, and thinks lots of sex with women gives him value. Why do you think redpill attracts men in the first place? Also a low body count can also be a sign of low self worth in a woman. She may think no one wants her or she's not worthy of sex with anyone.

Victim mentality is very attractive. Having a group to blame all your problems on absolves you from having your own problems. It was a very effective strategy in Hitler's rise to power.

I really don't think that men's attraction and women's attraction is all that different. Most men I know don't actually want meaningless sex with random women. They want sex with a woman that they love or can grow to love. Women want the same thing. Women do tend to be "pickier" and choosier about whom they have sex with, and that is because sex is a greater risk to women. In addition to the risk of pregnancy, they are more at risk for disease and are more than likely at a physical disadvantage …

If my husband hadn't been upset when we thought our dog was dying, I would have thought he was some kind of robot. No, I do not need him to be strong and stoic all the time. Also vulnerability doesn't mean weakness. You can be vulnerable expressing joy, for example. It just means showing people who you are, being genuine.

Nah, man, AWALT. /s Edit: reminds me of my husband's now deceased but hugely racist grandfather. He once said "you know, grandson, I made friends with some black people at work, and it turns out they're just like me. They like the same things I like." *facepalm

Interesting read. I really love Mark Manson usually. I'm surprised he didn't mention relationships where one partner wants sex and the other doesn't. There is much discussion of cheating over on the dead bedrooms sub. Lots of crossover with the adultery sub.

I watched something the other day on how wolves/dogs don't even structure their packs around alpha/beta males and females. That this behavior was observed by watching wolves in captivity, which is quite different from how they behave in the wild. There is no alpha wolf other than the parents. Packs are usually just families; mom, dad, and their litter. Sometimes they stay together even after a new generation is born. They aren't some social hierarchy, they're just close-knit families. https://sc…

According to them rapists are all accused of crimes they didn't commit. Because, you know, pussy pass or whatever. They don't think rape is real. Too bad human history up till the most recent times is filled with men taking women as a resource. Doing whatever they want to them. No justice against it. So I'd say that men are hard-wired to be rapists more so than women to exploit their sexuality for monetary gain, if we are to look at the patterns of history.

MGOTW is (men going their own way) have the attitude of “women are not worth the time investment” and are more of a monk mode. It’s not necessarily toxic, they just don’t bother with women because they become self sufficient. In theory it's not toxic but have you ever read those subs?

They have been brigading a sub I moderate, to spew their hate messages, then they get all mad when they are banned. Sometimes I do like to respond by telling them I will pray for them to find peace.

I saw a thread there complaining about prostitutes because they are all fake. Yeah, no shit, they are faking enjoyment, it's their job! You think that coffee baristas just really enjoy making you lattes and that's why they smile, or do they smile because it's their damn job? They can't even leave prostitutes alone. Probably mad they aren't offering their services up for free.

Well for starters, being drowning in attention from the opposite sex and having all the sex that you want doesn't actually make for a fulfilling life if deep down you hate yourself. Redpill men set up sex as the epitome of being happy and content, therefore they are always in a scarcity mindset about it. And since you need consent from another person to have sex, they see women as gatekeepers to sex, and therefore gatekeepers to their happiness. And instead of realizing that chasing tail isn't a…

What's actually going on with this sub? Men are mad because women prefer to date someone who cleans his own toilet? Or men don't care about how their house is decorated, but letting the woman decorate it to her taste (presumably because of the aforementioned men not caring) is somehow women gaining an upper hand? Not to mention men on this sub don't seem to understand that women actually make money.

What redpill likes to do is dehumanize women so that the people practicing game feel better about inflicting emotional abuse on others. If you see the entire gender as subhuman, you won't feel bad abusing them to get the resources that you want. Standard war tactics, really.

Did you write this in response to a viral deadbedrooms post regarding a wife no longer wanting to be a pick me girl? My friends and I were just talking about this, how unlike Red pill FDS is telling women to spot the abusive dickheads and run far away from them. Is ghosting or rejecting a man really on par with the psychological abuse that is negging and dread game? SMH. Redpill claims all women are the same horrid, abusive, gold digging bitch but counters their "game" by playing even worse game…
