It's funny that he uses the clothing compliment as the example. Unless I truly like something she's wearing, for a specific reason, I'm not complimenting the clothing. A lot of guys are going to sound stupid with this unless they learn about clothes. I'm sure the women he's seen on reddit talking about this wore Uggs and got a compliment like "You have such a unique style." The real difference here is that you actually have to talk to her to get to a good compliment. Don't just find something ki…

Hey, it's actually better that you didn't # close the girl at the tea store. The best way to do that is to build up rapport with her over several short interactions. Then, when you have something cool going on with friends, invite her along. That way your "date" with be much more rooted.

I feel like you know them about as well as an employer knows someone from a job application. You may have seen what they look like-even worse online because its only what they want you to see- and you may know a little about what they're like in text. But I've met a wide variety of women, and most had similar profiles. Now, mind you, when I describe my progression, I could very well have started at a level of confidence far below what yours has ever been. I remember one that happened before I kn…

Yeah, at least they used to. I met tons of girls there.

Does it really remove AA though? I've met lots of women online, and sure the online interaction can be good, but then you have to actually meet. My early meetups were awkward nightmares. Over time, just like in any other setting, my confidence grew and meets became easy. In fact, it became weird when girls were reluctant to meet up, because I would push for the meet ASAP. This should be your number one rule for online dating. I eventually found success many many times, had a few long term girls,…

This is a pretty awesome post. I'm a guy who got into the game a long time ago, starting with David D's book and Ross Jeffries' old shit. Then I moved to the masf forums. It wasn't until much later that I found out about The Game and Neil's work. Back in the old days FRs were all over the place. It's a really strange thing to read FRs. Basically, there's a scientific side, because you're trying to write it scientifically, but there are variables you can't account for. Things like location and yo…

You should check out his earlier FRs, there's a lot about this. Slow compliance building, specific qualifiers seem to be the big ones. Study it out.

I wholeheartedly agree with this technique. You don't even need the independent woman statement. If they're cool, they know why. I have used this a number of times, with great success. It's necessary if you go out to clubs and bars a lot, especially if you're not rich.

There is some stuff that's good. It was kind of an eye opener when it came out because not as much stuff was on You Tube then. Some of the concepts that seem weird on paper were demonstrated in ways that would be good to learn from. You should check it out, its entertaining if nothing else.

Its strange to me that what you describe is a 3 year relationship, because this feels like the problems in a relationship that's less than a year old. From your description, it seems like she's taking you for granted. Now, realize that at this stage-because you aren't married and don't have kids-its still a bit of a power struggle. The reason she doesn't want you is she has you-on a silver platter it seems. My advice is to turn the tables a bit. You don't have to run around with attractive women…

50 Shades of Grey? If she's a smart one, she won't like it. Try The Story of O, or even My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday.

You know this is the purpose for routines. Saying something interesting while you work on your body language, etc, finding what works and what doesn't.

OK, I understand where you're coming from and what you're saying. However, there are resources for you. There are different levels of PUA, different personalities, different speeds. A lot of the guys here are young, energetic, shy, probably in college, in a very social environment, basically. They go into high energy situations, see attractive women, and come here with some diagrams of the steps of the mating dance we do as people. I feel like you want a more relaxed setting for finding women. T…

If you are into politics, try to find why you hold the views you do. Then talk about those feelings and why you get so passionate.

Nice, if you're looking for fun material/challenges, Neil Strauss' Rules of the Game is great. I would recommend getting the later edition with the routines manual.

If you're gonna play Crash and Burn, you should go to some bars you don't usually frequent. You'll feel a bit more free knowing you don't have to see any of these people again. I don't know how familiar you are with different approaches, but even if you're clueless, sometimes all you need is the confidence to try.

Yeah, could we go with Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill or Serge King's Mastering Your Hidden Self:A Guide To The Huna Way?

I definitely agree with quick escalation, get her on the phone and then hanging out as fast as you can. It makes it less awkward, and even then it might be awkward when you do meet. Be as talkative as you can, and try to pick something fun and free to do. Oh, and never believe profiles that say "Not looking for players or one night stands" A lot of those girls will fuck on the first night if you're charming enough. Oh, I should note, I am not good looking at all.

I had a great experience with online dating. I met and dated tons of women, some were a little crazy, but I had a ton of fun. I had 3 long term relationships, the last of which is still going strong after 6 years. We have a 16 month old son now, she's in school working toward a pharm degree, and we're in no hurry to get married.

Yeah, I'm settled down in a relationship, but I still like to use techniques to enhance my social life and my relationship, along with growing as a person.

The passive part is what's known as ASD-Anti Slut Defense. Most women don't go out actively looking for a guy, it would make them seem like a slut-that's just a still-lingering stigma that continues to pervade out society. So they go out dressed to kill and wait for something to happen to them. Basically they're looking for a bit of plausible deniability. This is why isolation is important. Ever notice a drastic shift when you're alone with a woman?

Often pickup artists will turn the situation around by casting the dude in a kind of douche baggy light, but in a friendly way. Ex: "You're an awesome bartender man! I could never do what you do, working late hours, getting hit on by girls using you for drinks, cleaning up bar messes...etc. It's a pretty cool life, but I...insert demonstrator of higher value here." This is the most basic AMOG process I heard of. Apparently, Tyler Durden (The PUA) came up with it in Leicester Square, which I unde…

AMOG is short for alpha male other guy. Essentially, you out-alpha the other guy. In this case, by offering to call her a taxi, he framed the interaction as if OP couldn't possibly take her home.

Good for you man. This is the single step to begin the journey of a lifetime. Your post was an awesome description of what AA can feel like at its worst.

So don't be like those guys. Be better than those guys. The only way to do that is to throw yourself in the trenches. You don't have to act like a total fool, but look at the aspects of what they do that works. If its a high energy environment, you have start with high energy. And really, no matter which way you're rationalizing it, this fear is traditional AA. Every guy gets this-its evolved into our heads from 40,000 years ago where an approach on an attached woman could mean death. You get ne…

Yeah, if you know the owner, that puts you in good standing, definitely a demonstration of higher value. Would have been nice if you threw in a joke about the bartender getting fired if he stole her away.

You need to elaborate more on what was being said when you were out with her. As it is, if you haven't kissed and the bartender got her number, you're probably in the friendzone. You should have bounced from the bar way earlier, if she was staying, let her stay. If she came with you it would have been clear she was with you and she wouldn't have gotten so drunk. I definitely think the bartender was AMOGing you calling that taxi. But she clearly didn't want him to know she was going to your place…

I am willing to say I am not a super attractive guy and have gotten numbers at the grocery store. In fact, I even had a cashier comment on my cologne (aqua di gio), and started a convo, then later ran into her at the bar, and made out with her-and she had a bf! All you have to do is be a fun guy at the store. Check out the day game grocery store ep of the pickup artist for some pointers.

But what he's saying is, are you positive its not your fault? Though, I think some people are a little vague on what you mean by "flaky girls". For most of us, a flaky girl is someone who gives you her number, but then always evades or cancels plans. Is it that you start to get to know these girls, and you can tell they're not going to click with you? Or that their interest begins waning, they're easily distractable? Or are you using flaky as a synonym for ditzy? Either way, what Avolition84 is …

The fact that you're doubting yourself because of your race is an indicator you need to work on inner game. This insecurity about yourself is no doubt translating into neediness in your body language and tone. Remember, its not what you're saying, but how you say it. The other problem indicated here is that you say you're fun and lively, but can't create sexual tension. This usually means you are getting into the attraction phase and getting stuck there. If you don't escalate to rapport, you can…

If you can find a guy who is on the same page, doing good PUA shit and trying to improve as well, you should have a wingman. I had a tough time getting solo game going at bars and clubs, unless I was in a place where I knew people. You should be working the room, and having someone you know around is comforting, and gives you social proof.

I think part of the issue was that they moved backward. If he wanted to get more comfortable, he should have led her to another location-either something isolated at the dance or something outside of the dance.

A neg is only delivered early on, in the attraction phase. She was clearly already attracted, so this was a takeaway at a crucial time-when things were going well. So, yeah, you probably made her feel like a slut since you didn't reciprocate. You should have just gone for it, even if it was bad, because its practice. I mean, how are you gonna be a great kisser if you don't push as far as you can?
