Frankly I don't find the Jewish connection too interesting or compelling. Reading that article, it seems the author is speculating on Weinstein's intent, without looking at the facts. Occam's Razor seems to apply here, dude wasn't trying to enact revenge on religious grounds -- dude was trying to get his dick wet and stroke his ego.

It's great seeing these types of conversations taking place. I haven't read the book by itself, but a very large portion of the book I linked above talks about Meditations. Best would probably be to get both, because The Guide to the Good Life takes it apart and logically shows why stoic thought makes sense, and with Meditations you can actually read the original text.

I fully agree. I've heard that a lot of the areas in the US that are seeing the biggest growth, especially among young educated people new to the workforce, are cities in the South that don't have a lot of overpopulation and high taxes (yet). Georgia, SC, Texas, are all seeing big growth.

I like the idea, and I like that book a lot, but it's important to be circumspect in defining what is and is not an "enemy". Once that determination is made, yes, you have to keep going til the end. But advice like this should always be tempered by a healthy dose of Machiavellianism.
