It was an attempt to incite thought. How that doesn't add to the conversation is a mystery to me.

You posed a dichotomy, that either selfishness or monogamy has to be unusual. I posited that neither or both could be unnatural.

Or is your dichotomy a false one?

You're absolutely right, a marriage won't work if you're going into it with a selfish stance. It leaves the other person drained and you unfulfilled.

I still have a keychain on my keyring that says "homestarrunner.net, it's dot com!"

A lifelong commitment to misery seems to defy your belief that your own happiness is paramount in a relationship.

In relationships you are both trying to make each other happy. This tends to not be how TRPers see relationships, and thus that's where the cognitive disconnect lies.

Everything in that thread is mental gymnastic bullshit.

Falling in love is always complicated, that's why it's the most common source of art.

Depending on the reason for the prohibition, that could still violate it. (For example, if the prohibition is to prevent over-exertion of the heart)

No, that was a spelling mistake.

Which doesn't help people who work in the far west parts of the city much, since you'll burn the savings in fuel every month.

Dear Penthouse Forum, I never thought that this would happen to me...

Definitions I'm quite familiar with. It used to be common practice to pay overtime to salaried employees in my sector anyway. However, the economic downturn hit, and we have to keep paying the CEO his exorbitant salary, so fuck the people who do actual work.

Meh, it's alright, but the salary part is where they get you. You will always work 40 hours in a week, and maybe even more. With the economic downturn, all of the firms around me stopped paying overtime to their salaried employees at all.

I recommend against work. Never fish off of the company pier, man.

Engineer here, you were lied to, we make fucking peanuts for the amount of work that gets demanded out of us. Hope you enjoy 50 hour workweeks at the same salary.

Maybe I'm weird, but I don't see a woman who seems bored as a challenge, I see her as uninterested and thus probably uninteresting.

Not all GGGs are shy, this is true, and I know that's not at all what I meant. It's just that by my GGG nature, if she's not showing any interest at all, I'm going to stop wasting her time and mine instead of trying to turn my game up.

As a GGG (and not really a seddit regular), I have to say that it's easier to open up to a girl who breaks the ice. If I'm the one who starts the conversation, I'm never really sure where I stand, but if you come over and say something, you'll likely have my full attention, because I know you're interested and not just pretending to listen until I go away.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
