Dude. The unprotected sex thing and the "trying to have a kid" question go together. If you don't understand why, can we get an address for the baby shower?

Saw a comment about "nerdy" but can't find it (on phone) but someone else said it as "cool and classy". Reframe your own definition of the word "nerdy" to "cool and classy" in your own head.

As an old dog (49) looking back, here's some advice from my own hindsight as a high school nerd. How to build your own confidence. Just talk to the girls. Yes it really is that simple. Talk about class assignments. "Hey Cute Girl, can I get your opinion on lecture from class?" Compliment the girls on a new style (their hair, shoes, handbag). But don't go overboard with it. Be casual. "Hey Cute Girl, it looks like you got a new haircut. Looks nice!" Make it a goal to just say one or two sentences…

Basically, never be alone with a woman in a work situation. If you have any non professional contact, you could be screwed over. Be above and beyond professional regarding contact. Let HR handle anything that requires a private conversation. Never have a conversation in a closed space with a female co-worker. Not in a car, cubicle etc. Keep work at work. Socialize outside of the work sphere. Good luck. You will need it these days.

Was seriously going to post to AskTRP for advice on meditation and saw this post. What is the best/favorite program you have found for someone just getting started with meditation? Book? Video? App? Thanks in advance.

Agree with the others that you have to decide what you want to do. Is this a LTR that is good in all other ways and this is a solo issue? Or is this just one of many symptoms of a larger issue? If larger issue - consider another option. If it is just during her period, I would provide distant comfort. Be there, but give her space. Don't confirm that periods are an issue or act grossed out. It's hormones plain and simple. Be there to lead her to a positive response from your energy. The hormones …

It's a trap. Your girlfriend and her are probably talking about this and girlfriend is going to judge you on the reply to this flirt. Girls talk.

Possible, but he "gave" it to her, could be considered a gift depending on how long she has it. $1000 phone vs legal hassles.

Turn off the service on her phone and take the loss. Cheaper than the legal fees and better for your health. Chalk it up to the cost of doing business. Learn from this mistake and move forward. Next time just award prizes from the Dollar Store instead of Apple.

9 years ago this September... Sudden heart attack and gone. He was the alpha male role model for me and a lot of other people. Military Man with a lot of people under his command. There are a lot of things I wish I could ask him, advice on work and women. If you have a good relationship with your old man, spend some quality time with him, and make notes in a journal for later. Audio and video if you can without it being too awkward. Have a drink with him and just chat. Know that there are some o…

Suggestions: Lift or go for a run or walk Read TRP Sidebar Block her on ALL social media so you don't see it Fuck other girls Those are all good starting points. I don't know where this formula came from but a good friend of mine once told me that you need time off to recover from an old relationship. For my situation it was a week for every month. I had been married for 3 years when everything blew up. So 36 weeks. My friend said to date your way through the alphabet. Go find a girl whose name …

That is the definition of NO CONTACT. Beginning to wonder if you are just a really slow learner or you like being played by her. Nuke it from orbit and walk away.

As someone said earlier. Stop texting. No contact. Since I have been there and done that I think I know what you are trying to do. You want to talk with her about it and make her realize her mistake. Hate to tell you but - that ain't happening! You are making the mistake by continuing to play her game. If you need technical assistance in how to not text… etc try the Off App. Simply power down the phone until it is OFF. I know that might not be something you want to do, but they do have an OFF bu…

Nuclear wasteland. Nothing good will come from this. Been there and done that more times than I can say. It's how I found TRP. Read the sidebar - especially on Oneitis and unicorns. You sound young - high school or college age. I am closing on 50. It hurts. I have been there and so have most of the people posting. But it does get better. My TL/DR version of dating life reads almost exactly like where you are at now. Rinse, lather and repeat since high school and add in a marriage and divorce and…

I don't know what led him to not be there, but it might not be his fault. My ex didn't tell me about my offspring for 8 years. Can't blame someone for something that they didn't even know about. Offspring is now old enough to know that I didn't know. We have a lukewarm relationship at best, but it is what it is. You might want to check out family medical issues that you might inherit. Find out what happened from his point of view. Don't give a hard time unless you have to. You never know when yo…

Your first lines answer your own question... You've lost interest. Let her go. Personal experience: it will show you who your friends are and you might not like the answers. Since your BP guy friends GFs are now her buds, you are likely to be left behind. The guys will want to keep their girls happy in that BP world. And since she is friends with the GFs you will be left behind by the guys who are still getting laid. Sorry, but true. It's how I got here. Welcome to the nuclear wastelands.

Needed this today. Ran into my old Oneitis at the liquor store right before my birthday and it has been playing on my mind. And just like OP said we look for the excuse to try. Thankfully walked away from the situation when it happened to me. Still, like a recovering addict, there are times when I want what I know is bad for me... I just come here and read the reminders until I feel strong again. In other news, got two different girls lined up for this weekend. Abundance mentally and having fun.

I am still new to TRP and yes is is hard and painful sometimes. You are learning a new truth and shattering an old lie. The more you learn, the more some things from your past will pop up and hurt again because you are able to see the truth without the old filter. Use the anger and frustration to motivate you forward. Right now you are in a despair mood. That will pass. I have been there. It takes a little while to adjust to the truth. But once you have, it gets easier.

Sounds like a shitstorm no matter how this plays out. Good luck and you might want to start documenting stuff just to cover your own ass in case you need to.

I can relate to a lot of this. But thank the stars/fates/gods that I am not like this. I have had more than my share of jacked up relationships (including the one that eventually led me to find this forum).
