6	Are Women Naturally Better At Raising Children? Both men and women carry the exact same potential to be awesome parents. However, society gears women towards parenthood much more readily than it does men. Gender stereotypes leave men hanging when it comes to kids. The Sexual Assault Centre in Edmonton is a literal joke at this point. What a disservice to men and women everywhere. They counseled one woman to report a sexual assault to us (the police), when it was clearly not a sexual assault at all. The problem with studies, actually, is that they have the room for enormous methodology flaws, failure to represent the real-world through sample selection, and research manipulation/bias/unconscious impact. It is actually best to select crime stats, because for the stats, there are often numerous individuals working independently to determine whether a particular crime was real or false across many levels of the system. 4	Do we have stats on the number of false rape claims/accusations? I think your also forgetting about the claims that are false before it gets to the DNA stage as well. It's talking about cases referred to the FBI. If it is referred to the federal level, it is likely because the suspects are unknown and there needs to be a much more intensive investigation that goes beyond what the city/county police are able to do. 3	Different Assaults for Different Folks - how we get all up in arms when the victim is female and all so-what when it's a boy. I'm always proud of my police department for holding both genders accountable for whatever kind of assault. We get a lot of women-on-men domestic violence, and those women do not escape charges. We've even had cases of she-said-he-said, where evidence proves she did it, and she is charged despite her innocence plea. Part of this includes reading sexual assaults. In my Canadian city, I estimate the number of false accusations at about 5%. There have been glaringly obvious false accusations that make us all laugh, and there have been less obvious ones that require a lot of investigation - but to a veteran, trained eye, you easily pick up discrepancies between real ones and fake ones. The study you are quoting to support that 25% of claims are false is actually only talking about the ones that underwent forensic DNA testing. Many sexual assaults do not perform DNA testing, as the offender admits to the sex assault, is caught on video, or is identified via witnesses, or caught at the scene immediately after the assault.
