It’s not my perception but I was thinking of what people in my life consider to be masculine. Like for example some of my friends would say that a man wasn’t masculine if he was shorter than 6’1 or if he had blonde hair so I try not to use the word masculine because I’m really only talking about behavior and not appearance as masculine is so subjective to a lot of people and a lot of times masculine is used to describe physical things whereas you don’t say that someone is assertive or dominant j…

I think I should have used the word masculine instead of conservative, idk why I used conservative. I don’t always like using the word masculine because it makes me think of those overly buff gym bros who just look masculine on the outside but aren’t actually assertive or dominant in any way.

She’s Muslim and Arab and I think she just wants to find someone that has the same values, religion and culture as her, it’s a lot easier to find that there than in an atheist and liberal country.

This is the best advice, I agree that some men are afraid to show their dominant side and the best way to bring forward that side is to be feminine in return. It’s hard to exactly give dating advice because dating is almost like a dance where the man and woman respond to softness or assertiveness and no one can tell you how to do it exactly step by step.

Hey! I’m from Sweden! I so relate to what you said about Scandinavia being so liberal that even other liberal places seem conservative! My advice is , and I tell this to all my friends who ask me how I met such a conservative guy (which tells you that there’s actually quite a few men and women even here who secretly or unknowingly crave a red pill lifestyle) I actually met my now fiancé on tinder when he was in my city. So I asked my fiancé why he wanted to be with me and he told me that he inst…

Wowww you are so much more patient than I would be with my mil. I mean Idk even know if I would be this mindful of my mom if she had these many demands let alone my fiancé’s mother. You’re so strong. I wasn’t trying to diss eloping at all and I totally understand why you guys want to do it now. I’m surprised your mil hasn’t demanded that her son marry someone from the same village or caste as her with how she is!

You’re so right, it is crude and backwards to blackmail your own children and I wish it wasn’t so normalized in my culture. I also think it’s important that you think about what kind of wedding you want, do you want a wedding or do you want to elope ? I understand that you don’t want to elope because of the consequences but if there were no negative consequences would you genuinely want to elope ? It’s important to think about that because for a long time I lied to myself and said that I didn’t …

I’m so late to this post but please as a desi girl don’t give into your MIL. My fiancé gave into everything my mom wanted from the start, she wanted him to convert and then have a religious engagement and she promised us that that was all she wanted and as soon as my fiancé did that she started threatening that we had to get married in her country as well and that was the last thing she wanted (again) but of course it didn’t stop there, people that black mail can’t stop doing it, it’s addicting …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
