if her character died the show would not take a huge hit, if Kevin Spacey's character died the show would be severely damaged. I disagree, she is listed as his motivation for continuing in many ways. I don't think he could do his campaign without her, especially seeing how he handled the separation. As for if Kevin Spacey died, I know House of Cards would be over, but I would definitely watch a Robin Wright focused spin-off. She is at least that interesting. She plays an equal role in the show according to the screenwright. She has become very famous from it, and she polls well. There is no shame in using fan support to raise your salary, they are actors, fans are their product. If there is any inequality between them, it comes from her being cast in the wife role. Even in an equal marriage, to the viewer that makes her lesser. I think there is definitely a case for sexism here. And it doesn't hurt Kevin Spacey for her to have a higher salary, so I …
