I would and have done the same for a guy a bad situation. It isn’t your problem, but if I come across someone who is in need I’ll do what I can to help. Things like courage and bravery are an important part of what being a man means to me. But also in dangerous situations we all react pretty instinctively and don’t get to think about much until afterwards, in my experience.

That’s weak as piss. If you’re too scared to stand up for someone who needs help that doesn’t make you smart. If something is worth fighting for then it’s worth losing for. It’s okay to be scared, but it’s not a virtue.

I'm going to very confidently say close to zero... He'd probably code a killer dating app though.

Society inherently encourages conformity so while the majority tend to share similar understandings of what is trash or treasure, the further your interests etc. develop and diverge from the societal norm means the less likely you and members of the general population will find each other interesting. It does seem so paradoxical to me.

Maybe you aren't coming across as very interesting or fun to be around. Would you want to hang out with you?

I agree with you for the most part although I don't think that materialist thinking is the most accurate way of looking at the world, I think the complexities of human experience go far beyond material conditions. For instance, 2 people given the same circumstances can actually feel completely contrasting levels of fulfillment from their lives. Some people appreciate the things they do have, others won't be satisfied no matter how much they get. Although I do think the ability to consider multip…

I'm sorry you had to experience that. I guess it just goes to show how much our own experiences will shape our understanding of reality, despite knowing that everyone else is experiencing their own very different reality.

I actually have a few women in my life that I am very close to. I find it's actually easier for close relationships to develop with women as opposed to the way most guys think they need to avoid acknowledging their emotions or having deeper conversations. But I grew up with only my mother and sister and have genuinely always found female energy more comfortable to be around.

I don’t know but it seems like being a good person with good intentions is grossly overlooked by many

If I was a woman why on earth would I consider fucking someone who assumes this of me? It seems like maybe you’re letting some of your own challenges make you bitter. Showing a genuine interest in her own individual values and what things make her interesting and unique will get you a lot further than this attitude.

Immaturity and lack of self awareness. Or perhaps a more sinister desire to help ‘fix’ someone and make them into what you want.

I think a lot of young guys who might overanalyse this stuff are actually trying to compensate for their shortcomings in relationships. There’s definitely some toxic vibes that surround these things. And a lot of disregard for the simple truth that what most women (and men) really want is someone fun, compassionate and trustworthy who doesn’t play these weird psychological/primitive mating strategy games. First step in making anyone like you is be a genuinely good person.

best boxers get used to success by paying boxers to beat them up! paying boxers to try beat them up maybe... The best boxers actually get hit the least. Whereas here the goal is to beat up the box without paying.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
