Pro-tip on blackout first dates: Show up an extra 15 minutes early and sit/wait in the middle of the room (or by the entrance) in a way so that she see's you easily and first. When you see a female motioning towards you or speaking to you it's a safe bet it's the right one. This has saved my ass many times.

This is what I did in combination with the volunteering route. Kickball was my sport of choice, have met some pretty cool people through it (it's a beer league made for socializing, how can you lose?)

From recent experience, I would try Zoo's Aquariums and Animal shelters. Women, hot or not, tend to be the majority of their volunteer bases (in most cases, not all.)

depends on your social circle really, I have a friend that throws it around all the time and it is a good opener. For a while it was being quoted like crazy from some movie (I want to say Starsky and Hutch but can't remember). It's not overly common though anymore from my experience but YMMV.

I was led on for an entire summer. I knowingly passed up on other girls who were head over heels for me (and she knew this), some of whom were quite amazing. It was a very one sided relationship tbh, While we were really good friends and I would go out of my way for her, she would cock block me every chance she got. If they come up to you, you're in the clear to dance. You can make contact but take it slow and see how she reacts to it. Put a hand on her hip or something. They'll pull away if they're not into it. The only time I've ever actually asked somebody if they wanted to dance is when we were talking at the bar. It's all about body language. The box out sucks but it pretty much instantly let's you know what she is thinking.

That was obvious, however I was thinking more in situational context. If I'm smoking hookah with somebody the last thing I want is smoke blown in my face. You have to look at it from their standpoint. At least if it were weed, there'd be the mutual gain of shotgunning (and I do agree it is hot), but the same can't be said about tobacco. I could see this going over poorly is all I'm getting at.
