The only way I was able to test for herpes without having symptoms is because i begged my doctor to. I was losing my health insurance that month and wanted to know EVERYthing. Only with this pity party did she allow me to test for it. Turns out I have herpes and I have no idea when I got it. Ive only been in serious relationships and my partners have also been tested regularly. Ive never had symptoms. Tbh, the stigma of herpes is more hurtful than herpes itself edit: Also, you can get both herpe…

It could be that you just don’t see them. One of my friends organization works with helping homeless children access school. They struggle even finding the girls because they hide from the public for their own safety. It’s too vulnerable to be a homeless girl/woman.

Unforuntately many animals rape. Chimps rape often, and many consider them our closest relative.... I personally vote for the bonobo :) I dont think they rape but they are highly sexual.

Would you consider 29 (female) and 37 (male) a large age gap?

Im reading “the gift of fear” and he discusses how we rely on our dogs to notice the subtleties and recognize a bad person. However, it isn’t the dog reading the person, it is the dog reading YOU! Your dog is an expert in YOUR body language and notices your subconscious reaction to people. We as women tend to silence our gut instincts about people or justify bad behavior, we gaslight ourselves. Your dog doesn’t hear these excuses, she only notices your instinctual reaction and acts accordingly. …

Oops one more... Another novel that twists the male perspective of history is Circe. It’s about Circe in Greek mythology. Shes not the devious sucubus were taught but rather an intelligent inquisitive independent ladyyyy. There’s my three is again 😂

Another similar read that started my journey to love my womanhood was The Red Tent. It’s historical fiction and a twist on the biblical story of Dinah, daughter of Jacob. She’s given just one sentence in the bible whereas her brothers receive much more attention. The author wrote a story based on their own expertise in biblical stories, but it is fiction so be cautious. There is a lot of gender critique within the story. What struck me the most was regarding the birth of children. The red tent i…

Im currently reading “when god was a woman” and it’s been interesting, informative, and inspiring! The three Is haha. It’s about spiritual beliefs before Christianity and other main religions. Despite different locations, time periods, no-contact... many civilizations worshipped women. It made me realize how illogical it is to worship a male deity when women are the ones who provide life. Inheritance was passed through the mother because that was the most obvious proof of blood relation. Interes…

Yes!! It was such a wake up call for me when I wasn’t losing weight but my clothes were getting smaller. My current issue is when my jeans don’t fit — is it because of my belly or my ass? Always the ass 😆. I practice MMA and having strong flutes have seriously upped my game!!

As I said, I am not able to be a mother because of my current lifestyle. The parts that I personally crave in motherhood is something that could be similar in hosting exchange students. As I said it’s not the same but it is close enough for me. This is specific to me and I shared because it is an option for women with similar limitations and interests. I did not say it is true motherhood. I hope you are not as critical as women who decide to foster, another shorter term but meaningful connection…

I just realized the option of hosting exchange students this week!! It’s short term, I can get the enjoyment of guiding a young person, and I get to enjoy the culture of another country! I’m an avid traveler and I’ve always doubted how it would work with a family so this is great solution for me! Most exchange students stay in contact with their host families long after their time spent abroad. I just love this idea! And it helps me cope with not experiencing motherhood... it’s not the same but …

I cringe every time I think about how my nudes may be out there. I’ve always had underwear on or hands covering areas but it’s still enough to feel uncomfortable of it still likely being on some mans phone. The only benefit I can think of is that it always got me in the mood to see myself like this hahaha. Im shy so it’s hard to feel sexy in general. But, donning a nightie and snapping pics, I was like woah! I think taking them for yourself could be a good self esteem boost.

It’s the same in the Dominican Republic, they’re called “sanky pankys”. Go to any of the beaches that aren’t connected to a resort and you’ll see so many older foreign women draped over these hot buff young guys. Sex tourism.

Endangering, yes! I thought with MMA I’d be more confident walking about, but I’m avoiding walking about in general now haha. Most women, thankfully, will never know how strong a man truly is. Even with mma men would go easier on me and I felt like a warrior! But once I started competing and they started training as an equal partner, I realized quickly how much power a man has. Whenever I practice a new technique I have to ask them to be less strong so I can actually practice the movement. Knowi…

It’s wrong to have women believe they can be as strong as men. I am involved with MMA and it’s a humbling experience to get my skilled ass whooped by a male amateur just from strength and basic skills. I can fight well against a male beginner but once they learn the basics, it’s incredibly difficult to defend myself. MMA hasn’t just taught me self-defense but also to be much more cautious to avoid potentially violent situations to begin with because of how much stronger an average dude is.

I was also denied the copper IUD with my first GP. Supposedly if you get gonorrhea with an IUD, you could end up infertile. So, because I wasn't married (in a clear society-approved monogamous relationship), she wouldn't give me the IUD. My current GP said you can end up infertile from gonorrhea without the IUD too. Its more likely to cause problems if you have the IUD, but simply being smart and getting tested often would solve that problem.

I just learned about this last year, and now I am on the copper & silver IUD! I was out to happy hour and a friend was sharing how her brother is getting a divorce. They wanted to try for a baby when suddenly she just didn’t want to have sex with him. The wife admitted she just didn’t find him attractive anymore. My other friend then asked if she was on the pills before the baby decision, yup! We were dumbfounded. I thought this was also just anecdotal but upon researching online, there are seve…

I live in Brazil and it is very rare to meet any adult who lives on their own. My divorced ex (36 years) actually moved back in with his mother rather than getting his own place. It was an odd to see men react when I tell them I live on my own. I lived in several other countries before Brazil and "sex hotels" are common in all of them - a pay by the hour hotel service often with hot tubs and mirrored ceilings! This is what most people do, the wealthier may opt for a real hotel.
