In theory, I fully agree with you. It's like consent, if it is not a clear yes, it should be a no... But in reality in my experience, I very very rarely had women overwhelmingly displaying genuine desire. In at least half of the cases, they sent very confusing signals (like saying "no we won't have sex" while undressing and kissing me... she told me later it was just to tease me). Most women I slept with or had a relationship with didn't even compliment me on my attractiveness/look/hotness...

It depends what you call embarrassing. The first time I approached a woman, I could see panick and fear in her eyes. That was definitely embarrassing for me. Then there is all the women I knew when I asked them out (I rarely asked strangers out after that awkward first attempt). Good friends or acquaintance, single, we share values, hobbies, we talked and laughed more or less frequently... and most rejections were nice. But a couple were more Ewwww than anything else. Then there was one woman, a…

Don't ask me. It didn't work for me. I asked out girls I met at university, during internship, in my circle of friends, friends of friends*... I received one single yes.... but she just used me for attention. She knew few people in town, wanted to go very slow (fine for me but after 2 months seeing several time per week, she still didn't want any physical contact), and after I helped her move out to her new flat, she invited me to the restaurant and cinema but said she had forgotten her purse ho…

I wish I heard this message in my 20s...

Not necessarily. And that why I find it a pity that women don't communicate it. I like going slow and there is no urgency to have sex, but I definitely would enjoy having sex on the first date if the mood is there and she is up to it. So the only case in which we are not competing is if someone tells me, no making out or any kind of sex before 3+ months of relationship...

The thing is, I would prefer to be in a relationship. The way doesn't matter so much, I like various things and I adapt well, but I don't like to put people un at ease. I could go slow, as I would normally do, or have sex at the first date if my date shows me she is open to it and the mood is right. I could do 50-50, but I learned to be more dominant and enjoy it too. If I was sure the women I face are open to me going more quickly, or being dominant I would certainly do. But I never heard a wom…

I was shocked when I heard there was really so many guys who sent dick pics. But I was shocked as well by my female friends. Quite a few said that, despite hating dick pics, they already replied positively at least once to such a pic, usually when they felt lonely, horny and sometimes drunk... It is the same with the guys asking nudes... I was shocked by them asking it... and just as shocked by the women complaining about it but who still at sole point did it. I don't get people

It is the same for me. It is very hard to get a woman in my bed. Once she is there, she is very fine with it... the thing is, they don't necessarily are looking for a relationship.

I agree with you but it is not at all how I understand public discussion. I was honestly shocked more than once by double discourses from women, saying publicly "we don't want men to do X", but once you know them more, you realize that they are ok/want/expect X on romantic/sexual interactions. I would find the message totally healthier if it was more nuanced. As of X, I heard it about dic pics, asking for nudes, flirting heavily, being touchy, being direct, objectify them, being very sexual, bei…

Yes, they can have an internal conflict. You can be religious and still desire sex. You can have conflicting values. I grew up in a religious community despite not bring religious at all, I still inherited the values and the vision of purity, good and evil...so my view about sex was very skewed for a long time.

I would agree with most things you wrote. Guys who fuck a lot of women put in a shitload of effort for the most part On this I disagree. My best friend is the kind of guy receiving 3000 likes from women in a few hours on Bumble. He has 3 basic pictures (2 selfies), no bio... but he appartement looks good... and guess what, it is the same IRL. He never approached a woman, he is actually afraid of rejections despite his longest dry spell being 2 months. And you should see how women stick to him. H…

Honestly I don't think your point 1. is true. My ex wore comfy and simple clothes and put little or no make up. She never did any sport. She wasn't even especially sexy or good-looking, an average shy introverted woman not putting much effort on looks (and that was very fine for me). nonetheless she had more success with men that I ever had with women. The two compliments I received were that I dress well and that I am a great person. I am going to the gym (but I still stay a very slim man) and …

I am a bit older, Tinder wasn't a thing when I was in my early 20s. But one thing I could say as a man who was solely looking for a serious relationship... that didn’t interest any woman. I strangely started to interest some women once I started being more sexual with women before even dating them.

I don't think it dissapears, I just don't think it's a 100% representation of real life. Tinders focus is sex, and having sex appeal. Whereas irl ppl will value a person more holistically when it comes to pairing off I agree with you, except on one point. Tinder doesn't focus on sex or sex appeal, people using it (or using many other means, such as other apps, speed dating, meeting through parties and clubs...) focus on these criteria. It doesn't make it a 100% rule.

I would have slept with most women I studied or worked with, or with most of my female friends. I don't need to have a crush for that. I actually just had 2 or 3 crushes in my life, not one with women I even dated or kissed.

Sexually, men are in average less picky than women.

eharmony I think you need to realize that eharminy isn't much better than other apps. The highest predictor (outside pictures) of the amount of messages received by male profiles on eharmony is "athleticism". I used more or less every apps. I am not a successful man with women but the apps at which I received the lowest level of interest from women were apps solely designed for relationships, despite having a lot of qualities/attributes useful in relationships

I am a rather left leaning man. I prefer rather left leaning women... and since women are more liberal than men, I should have some options! But no! The last 2 women I dated were on the left, both told me how hard it was to find a guy on the left. Both preferes to stay friend and were not attracted. And I can't fail to realize that a friend of mine, pretty masculine and conservative, has no issue getting liberal women

I have a similar experience as a man.

In my experience, men with high body count don't give much importance to women body count. Most of the people who seem to have an issue with it are religious people, some people who solely look for LTR, some who find sex disgusting or a very intimate thing and some people who can't have sex...

And women. One if the biggest issue I had in my 2 LTRs, were that: - one of my partner needed constantly to get validated by other men - the other could not stop fantasizing about a very good friend. Like literally just saying his name would turn her on for sex. She has well started to show a great need for "rapey" sex, which is the opposite of how we had sex until that point.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
