I'm not homeschooling kids based on a reason like that. I got my fair share of bullshit in school for being a boy and Christian, but I was able to deal with it. I can talk to kids about what happens. I can help them learn to exist in this world.

Buy a cheap trimmer anywhere, trim once a week. Not difficult. Trimming with a boner is easier.

I could have killed the man who sexually abused me, I chose not to. I could have probably killed the homeless guy who attacked me, I chose not to. The one time a woman attacked me I gently pushed her and she went flying, I did not retaliate with an equal amount of force. I don't like violence, I avoid it. But I know how to use it. Same thing with words, I can shout people down and talk them down. I don't like doing it. If I walk away people don't follow me. when I tell people what will happen if…

I feel like being a man is somewhat easier than being a woman. Everyone deals with messed up expectations, mistreatment, a bad hand, etc. But generally speaking I feel like it's easier for a big guy like me to deal with it. The ability to somewhat easily defend myself comes in handy. There are a lot of people in workplaces that tend to defer to men, it makes my life easier. It in no way erases the BS that men face, it is a relative comparison.

Privilege is subjective. So yeah, I've got privileges. Nearly everyone does. Society is structured to extract my male labour, that is a privilege. Some people aren't privileged enough to have labour to get extracted. But women also have privileges. So does almost everyone. Problem is people spend too much time looking at other people.

Our society benefits rich men. Men in the middle are often conflated with rich men, and very few people care about poor men. And rich men can also commit suicide. I'm not trying to be aggressive, but your argument that "if our society benefits men there wouldn't be suicide" doesn't work because most men don't benefit from society. They may be better off than many women, but that isn't the same as benefitting.

It's not just teaching. I've done a lot of volunteer work with kid and youth activities, this stuff happens as well. Almost everyone says they support young men volunteering with kids and talk about the importance of having positive male role models for kids, both boys and girls. But guys who do volunteer with kids become targets of suspicion, as if the only reason a guy would dare try to a good person is sexual. It makes sense to have reasonable boundaries and measures. But the moment there is …

I deal with people on an individual basis. I talk to a lot of men who have done shitty things, admitted to it, and are trying to improve themselves. The fact that I listen to a guy talk about how he regrets abusing his wife doesn't mean I support the abuse of women by being in his presence. It's the exact opposite, I hope that somehow by helping struggling men I can stop abuse against women, children, other men, etc. And if I listen to a women talk about things she regrets I'm not victim-shaming…

I'm currently on bicalutamide and dutasteride, they're testosterone-blockers, it's to temporarily treat recurrent priapism. So I have low testosterone. I need to take calcium supplements, I now have man-boobs, and my dick doesn't always work. My psychiatrist doesn't know if my cognitive issues are from low testosterone or from depression, they are too similar. And every time I google this stuff I find a shit-ton of good medical articles. Those mods need to learn how to use the world's easiest we…

Do you have a custody/visitation agreement? Without that you don't have much. You are the presumed father of the child because you were in a conjugal relationship with the child's mother when the child was conceived, but that doesn't give you visitation rights. You get those rights by being granted them by a court. No agreement, no visitation. If you do have an agreement, then you need to go back to court to get it enforced. I have a friend in Ontario going through this now, it is slow and painf…

A friend of mine's ex was black. He carried a photocopy of his daughter's birth certificate on him in case his phone wouldn't turn on. He carried a note signed by the girl's mom explaining the situation with her phone number on it. It sucked to hear that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
