Sad but this is not surprising given how much hate is directed at men for simply wanting to exist in society. Honestly the surprising thing is that more men aren't doing stuff like this for being excluded from society.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 02:27 PM

There's nothing women love more than being dehumanized and degraded by Chad.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 02:03 PM

That's what we're lead to believe by cultural exports, but I'm not convinced it's true. I've mostly dated older women, and I see a pretty common theme these days of spinsters dating the hot young guy, or at least riding him like a pogo stick then bouncing to the next one because they can.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 01:20 PM

All I know is nobody bats an eye when 35+ y/o women date men <=25 y/o. The same people will screech at the top of their lungs if men want to date someone younger.

Porn is great, it gives men some power in the sexual market because it helps us to satisfy our physical needs (drain the balls) in a pleasureful way. Women hate porn because it takes some of their bargaining power away.

These days most of what we call "science" is actually scientism, which is a perversion of the science for the purpose of pushing some particular agenda without any actual science being involved. The pharma industry has used this strategy for decades: fund a bunch of research, and only publish the results that show what they want, then discard all the results they dislike. That's how we got everyone hooked on SSRIs while ignoring the systemic issues of how capitalism has destroyed the sense of co…

Nearly everything is bullshit these days. Fake it till you make it is an excellent strategy, and it's what the most successful people use every day. No generally means no, except when it doesn't. I won't elaborate other than to say that it probably means no, and if you have to argue/negotiate, it's a no. Err on the side of caution. If she's not moaning and panting and grabbing your body and putting your hands where she wants them, she's not really consenting. If she's just starfishing, she doesn't want it. If she doesn't want it, it's not consent. If she gives verbal consent, that's not necessarily consent. You still need the non-verbal sign…

All I want is a nice girl. Most of the women I've dated become assholes once their personality starts to come out. Unlike with men, we don't demonize women for <literally anything they do>. If you're a man, it's generally bad if you're nice, too mean, milquetoast, short, too muscular, fat, skinny, too smart, dumb, average, etc.

How do you jailbreak a modern iPhone? I'd love to know. The other problem with jailbroken phones is that it breaks a bunch of other shit. And then there's right-to-repair: why am I not allowed to repair a piece of property that I purchase? Why can't I modify the software that my hardware runs? yadda yadda. Anyway, stay mad bro. Keep lickin' and suckin' on dem boots.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 05:30 PM

Neoliberalism, sure. You are not free to "use your property how you wish". If you buy an iPhone you're not even allowed to run the software you choose on it, only what Apple permits you to use. Is it really your property if you need some random company's permission to do what you want with it? I'm so sorry that you believe all the bullshit you've been force fed by the fakestream media.

Maybe you suck at your job but you rode the diversity wave and now reality has set in?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 12:01 AM

I've watched women swipe and like men they spend 2-3 seconds only looking at the photos except they reject the vast majority of men for trivial reasons. It's pretty normal for women to right-swipe on 5% or less of men, which doesn't make a lot of sense unless you believe you're too good for 95% of men within your dating group.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 11:46 PM

I think at the earliest you wouldn't develop what constitutes "emotions" until about 6 months, but realistically it's probably more like 1 year. This is different from mammals such as dogs, where by about 6-8 weeks they are full of personality (i.e., puppies play and express the typical dog emotions we know and love). Here's one source for this: https://news.osu.edu/newborn-brains-lack-maturity-to-process-emotions-as-adults-do/ Truthfully we don't know that much about the brain, but the point is…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 11:03 PM

I let women approach me, much easier that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 10:56 PM

Not to nit pick, but pretty much everyone comes out of the womb without emotions. Humans are unique among mammals in that we're born relatively undeveloped, and the brain doesn't really have any emotional capacity until much later in life. Infants are pretty stupid, but they evolved to essentially "trick" their parents into believing they're expressing emotions as a survival mechanism and to enhance bonding. Infants are dumber than dogs until about 1 y/o or so, and for the first few months you b…

/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 10:20 PM

I don't identify as a follower of the "red pill" philosophy, but for me personally it's bad for the following reasons: I wasted a lot of my life trying to do things "right" by the standards espoused by the cultural taste makers So many times did I "do the right thing", and ended up getting screwed (i.e., I was a sucker) It took me a really long time to realize I am deserving of love and affection like everyone else, even though society tells me that I (as a male) am bad and don't deserve to be t…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 07:48 PM

They also very quickly fall back on name-calling with words like "pedophile" and "incel" if men don't want to date 40+ single moms, while ignoring the fact that some 25 y/o women are attracted to 40+ men. I'm 38 and I have little interest in dating someone as young as 25, but I'm pretty sure there's a big cohort of women who'd accuse me of being a pedophile for dating someone that young. Meanwhile, if a woman does the same thing, they're all "yaaaasssss qween!!! slayyyy!!!"
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 07:19 PM

There are many men who have no interest in having sex with as many women as possible, but merely want to have genuine human connection with one person. Unfortunately we all get lumped into the same category and treated as r*pists until proven otherwise, hence the frustration.

The "chemicals in the brain" theory is widely cited but the evidence it's true is very shaky at best. SSRIs, for example, are really only effective in extreme cases of depression. It's subjective, but if youth is a symbol of beauty, then I think dating someone significantly younger counts as hypergamy because it's dating up. Dating someone at the same age would be dating at your level, and I suppose dating someone much older could either be up (maybe they're insanely attractive, or rich, or famous), down (if they're just meh), or neutral.

Any bigger company with a Professional HR department will conduct investigations (which just means they comb through all your chats and emails) whenever shit comes up. If you work in certain regulated industries, a copy of all your shit goes to the government, too. For example, I worked at a hedge fund and we were reminded constantly to only use phones because all emails and chats get forwarded to the SEC, but they can't tap our phones without a warrant.

I was raped by a woman when I was 17, so what? I don't hate all women because of it. Women hate men, which is fine, but I'm tired of pretending they don't. We're brainwashed into believing women are wonderful, benevolent, yadda yadda, but that is a big lie. Women are just as rotten as men. All this gender divide nonsense is horseshit.

You just implied that if an older man interacts with a woman in their 20s it's considered "preying", "gross", and "disrespectful".
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 05:16 PM
1

Women don't care if you succeed or fail, and they're not invested in the well-being of men. In fact, women largely despise men and many of them would love to see us all die. Women are generally willing to make exceptions for the very best men, the top 1% or so, but they are happy to see the 99% struggle, suffer, and die.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 05:08 PM

Real men work on themselves and stop worrying so much about what other people do.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 05:05 PM

So it's only "preying" and "gross" and "disrespectful" if a man does it, got it. Classic misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 05:05 PM

(I would not actually date someone that young, I prefer mature people, but I know a lot of women get really triggered by older men dating younger women, though I think that's just because they're insecure and mad because they can't compete with youth.)

The correct strategy is as follows: Date 20 people Lock it down with the first person you date after those initial 20 who's better than all the rest. This is also called the 37% rule, explained here: https://plus.maths.org/content/mathematical-dating
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 02:58 PM

I've noticed a recent trend which is that many women in their 30s are dating someone younger (which is one dimension of hypergamy). If you go read /r/AskWomenOver30 for example, you'll see many examples of women who are dating younger men. Is it a trend, or am I just reading between the lines? Who knows.

The "very specific physical appearance" thing doesn't match the data, or my personal experience. Men are pretty liberal with their right swipes on the apps, which suggests they have much lower standards than women for beauty. You can verify this by looking at the "tinder insights" people post on r/tinder. For me personally, I generally only care about BMI and overall health, i.e., don't be obese or have unhealthy habits (smoking, alcoholism, etc).
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 01:46 AM

Body count still doesn't matter and it never will. A real man doesn't give a shit about a woman's sexual past.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 01:35 AM

Meh, truthfully I don't care much about that stuff. Beauty is only skin deep as they say. I'm more concerned with compatible values, communication, sex, health, etc.

I can understand how in some people's minds it makes the mental load easier, but I'm still not interested in the legal nightmare of marriage and the likelihood of me losing half my money. Nobody is worth it. I guess if you earn as much as me, or have family money or something, then it's a bit different, but I won't let someone fleece me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 01:32 AM

On the dating apps, what I would really want is a BMI filter, that would be 10x. More specifically, I want to filter based on these dimensions: BMI average response time (<=24h) response % (if you don't respond to people I won't waste my time) amount of time on the app (anyone who's been on the apps >6mo is likely a lemon) atheists only (I guess non-religious or agnostic is ok too) you must live in Manhattan (or at least not NJ, the nearby boroughs are okay) That would make the apps 100x more us…

None of these things require marriage. You can live with someone, share expenses, have kids, and do whatever you want together without being married. The only thing marriage does is give you a piece of paper that says you have to split everything 50/50 when you break up, regardless of the reason why. What is the point of that?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 01:20 AM
1

Disagree, but to each their own. I only date people who want to have sex with me. Simple as that. If you're not interested, then we've got no reason to continue.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 01:18 AM
1

I think some men believe that if they get married then the woman won't leave/divorce them. But the reality is that most divorces are initiated by women by a significant margin (70%!!). So if you're trying to marry a woman because you want to "lock her down" or whatever (aka subjugate), this is a stupid strategy and you're setting yourself up for failure.

I think much of the time any sort of libido/sex drive issues are things you can work through, provided both people are adequately invested in the relationship and attracted to each other. But for women, if the attraction is not there, there will be no sex. Men can fuck pretty much anything so it's less of an issue. Just go read /r/DeadBedrooms for a taste.

Having sexed on the first date many times, I can tell you the only way to assess sexual compatibility is to have sex. Most of the time the sex dies down after the honeymoon phase, but that's a different issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 01:03 AM
1

The tax thing is only advantageous under specific circumstances, and most of the time there is no practical benefit. For health care it makes no difference whether you're married or not, I have shared health care coverage with people in the past and I've never been married. They don't even check the paper work, but generally all you need is a domestic partnership certificate which costs like $20 depending on your city, and you can terminate it at any time.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 01:01 AM

It's simple: not everyone is compatible. Sexual compatibility is just one of many dimensions, and it's arguably one of the most important ones for men. Some women don't care so much about sex, and for those women I suggest adopting some cats.

It's not that the upside has decreased, it's that between no fault divorce, alimony, forced child support, family courts favouring women over men, and the legal and emotional cost of dealing with divorce, there's no real benefit to going through with it. You can just be partnered with someone, and if things don't work out, go your separate ways. Why turn it into a legal problem where you're forced to give half your shit away when they decide they want to divorce you?

/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 12:48 AM

Ehh, your strategy sucks. If we don't have sex within the first couple of dates I'm not going to ask you out again, and I have zero interest in casual sex. It's about assessing compatibility early on and not wasting time. And it's pretty common for people to pay for their own shit on dates these days.

Women: Stop dating the top 10% men (the top 20-30th percentile of men, excluding the top 10%, is the perfect cohort), because all the other women are trying to date the same dudes. ...but most people are just going to keep doing the same shit and will never understand why they're having such a bad time.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 10:13 PM

Based on feedback from other people. That's an average, I've dated people who were convinced I was a 9 (I'm not), and others told me I'm a 6, but I average out to 7 or so. Maybe an 8 if I try really hard and wear a suit, but I don't care enough to try that hard tbh.

Yesterday is pretty much irrelevant.

Feminist logic: men are struggling because they are victims of the imaginary social structure that is supposedly beneficial only to men? I don't really understand these arguments, it's incredibly baffling to me. Do we live in a society, or is it men vs. women? Hmm, I don't think they "just lower appetite". It's a lot more complex than this. By the definition of average, no. Average is average. The average woman brings average to the relationship. The average man brings average to the relationship. The way I see it, there's a balance between rights and responsibilities. Feminists, on the other hand, want a fantasy world where they have all the rights but none of the responsibilities. Men at least have historically understood that they have responsibilities: work hard, support your family, protect your loved ones, etc. Women just want to get money and tell everyone else to fuck off, particularly men. I don't see anyone in feminist circles talking positively about men's problems, they instea…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 08:04 PM

You can basically go around in circles making this exact same argument about misogyny, misandry, racism, and whatever else feel good. It's basically just "my side good, your side bad". It also doesn't refute anything I've said about how modern feminism is an ideology of hate.

How does that make women better? Much like how it doesn't make me better than you if I own a house and you don't. FFS, what a stupid take.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:43 PM

CMV: Modern-day feminism (toxic feminism) is an ideology of hatred. If you had asked me 5-10 years ago, I would have called myself a feminist. I am no longer a fan of the current feminist talking points. I think the whole feminist ideology is sliding toward fascist ideas that look a lot like Nazism to me. Take, for example, the reluctance to acknowledge the existence of misandry. For a long time, feminists rejected the idea that misandry exists. Now, however, the narrative has shifted...and if y…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:42 PM

The average woman is no better than the average man, but you have been convinced by culture and media to believe that you are. This is misandry caused by the toxic femininity that is pervasive in all of modern society.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:25 PM

The movies were made to tickle the female fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:17 PM

The basic premise is the same: either we learn to live together as one species, or we all hate each other and stop breeding and then I guess we all die? Idk.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:07 PM

Yes yes, not all men, not all women, yadda yadda.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:04 PM

This is a stupid argument. Men do not need to "better themselves". We are what we are, but women spend all day watching TV and have been brain damaged into believing that what they see in Disney movies is reality, but it is not.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 04:31 PM

Do we live in a society where everyone is required to contribute? Or are we 100% individualistic and it's every person for themselves? You decide.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 04:31 PM

No, men cannot solve their loneliness because we can't make women love us or want to be with us. AI robots are not a substitute for human affection. Men are 50% of the problem, and women are 50% of the problem. This toxic feminist narrative about how women are not responsible for anything, and men created every problem in the world is just horseshit. The toxic feminists want all the upside, but none of the responsibility in existing in a society that cannot exist without both men and women. If w…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 03:27 PM

Anyone who's actually alone and claiming to be happy is lying to themselves, or they're some kind of psychopath. Humans are tribal creatures, we need to live in communities with strong connections. The truth is that most women are never alone. Women have support networks of other women, and they go through life with immense privilege due to all the societal advantages and the "women are wonderful" effect which is baked into everything. Women who are truly alone are miserable. There's a reason wh…

It's just a new spin on good old fashioned credit card debt and other forms of unsecured debt. There are a few exceptions, like if you can get 0% financing then sure whatever, go for it, that's basically free money. However most of the BNPL schemes have ridiculous interest rates, like 20%+, in which case DO NOT use this crap. Some of them also charge additional fees on top of that, which is terrible.

To the contrary, it's misogyny that is a response to the pervasive misandry. Men are just sick of women being assholes and having so many advantages in society, so they're responding in kind.

That sounds like an insecurity that you have, and something you need to work through. What a woman does with her body is her choice, and how many dicks have been inside her vagina doesn't really mean anything other than she's good at getting dick if that's what she wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 12:04 AM

While I'm not a fan of this look, you cannot infer anything about someone based on their clothing, except whether they have a good fashion sense. If they're wearing those pants, they do not have a good fashion sense.

Way she goes. The bar is actually pretty low, but generally speaking I won't date someone with a BMI >30, and more realistically I would prefer <25. For most women, you're automatically attractive if you have a healthy BMI and you can dress yourself like a grownup.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 10:53 PM

Everyone knows how shitty it is for men, but they don't actually care or want to help. It is what it is, you just have to adapt and get ahead of the cultural trends. I think now is a good time to rediscover in-person dating because people are sick and tired of the apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 10:50 PM

Or at least not below.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 10:43 PM

I don't really know, I don't have all the answers. All I know is my own experiences. I do think women's sex drive is usually related to how attracted she is to her partner. That is to say, if she's not attracted to you, she won't want to have sex with you. This is just biology and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 10:42 PM

Ideally you'd be at the same level, or very close. I think the problems happen when there's a big discrepancy. People also vary in looks over time, so close is better. Some people call this your "looksmatch".
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 10:34 PM

From personal experience, every time I've dated a girl who's better looking than me, it turned into a dead bedroom situation (or at the very least she didn't want sex nearly as much as me). When it was the reverse, she usually wanted more sex than I did. Make of this information what you will, although it's nothing more than anecdata.

I think toxic femininity is a much bigger issue than masculinity these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 08:08 PM

I, for one, do not give a shit about most peoples' pasts. I am generally only interested in a) how you treat people b) whether your actions and words line up and c) are you an asshole in real life? You could be a convicted felon and I wouldn't really care much so long as you're not a piece of shit person now and into the future.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 08:02 PM

It depends on what you mean by "healthy", but perhaps. This is just anecdotal, but I do find that people who "go out" a lot tend to have pretty bad habits, like consuming alcohol in excess. I'm not against alcohol, but it's an incredibly harmful substance relative to a lot of things.

False. As a male, I can find people attractive while not being attracted to them.

Some women believe that when men don't put them up on a pedestal and bow to their superiority that men "hate" them. In reality, most women are very average, especially due to the lower variability in women, and they will likely do nothing special with their lives. Once their beauty fades, they are left trying to pick up the pieces and understand why society has wronged them when in actual fact they are just an average loser like the rest of us.

The problem is mostly that people don't go outside and talk to each other, they sit in their apartments trying to exist in the world through the screen. The screens may mesmerize, but they do not reflect the reality of actual life and the world outside wherever you hang your hat.

I got downvoted into oblivion for writing this on 2x, but I'll resubmit my comment from there: As a 6ft tall man, I don't bother with any women >=6ft because I know that most women want to date someone much taller than them. There is no reason to date a woman who will toss you aside once someone taller or better looking comes into their orbit. I don't really care at all about height, short tall whatever makes no difference to me, but I have to adjust my expectations based on how likely the woman…

Men are mostly violent toward other men, that's why they're sent off to die in wars. This myth about how every man is just trying to rpe and muder every woman is caused by the fakestream media pumping that kind of content at all the women because it hits the fear button really hard, and that's what sells the most ads.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 03:30 PM

The "true" crime content has warped so many peoples' brains, particularly women. I don't know why it's so popular with women, but I guess it's because they seem to have a victimhood fantasy where someone comes to save them from the bad man (and that's the police I guess? idk). In any case, cops are dumb as shit, they almost never solve any crimes, and random violence is actually incredibly rare. Most violence occurs between people who already know each other pretty well, such as spouses. The lik…

That said, I do frown upon people who spend excess time on the SoCialS, especially the regarded ones like instagram, tiktok, facebook, etc. Reddit is less bad because it generally involves anonymous people and textual interactions, which I think are (on average) much less regarded than vacation photos/videos.

First of all, the whole concept of "normal" is stupid. There's no such thing as "normal", especially when it comes to stuff like sexual preferences. There are a few lines you shouldn't cross (mainly the ones that could land you in jail), but everything else is pretty much fair game. Indeed, I mostly avoid going anywhere if I don't have to. I'll travel to go visit family and such, but I have no interest in pissing my money away on your typical vacation destinations. I'm certainly not trying to sabotage anyone, I'm just sharing my perspective. If you want to travel, you should do that. Travel just enough to learn about how it's not as great as you think it is. But as someone who has traveled a lot (mostly for work, I have basically lived in fancy hotels for months at a time traveling around the globe) I can say that the initial excitement you get from going somewhere new wears off very fast, and then you're left with an empty loneliness once you realize that everything is the same everywhere and if you can't be happy here you won't be happy there.

That's quite alright, traveling locally is much better than flying to Phuket just for instagram photos. I guess if you travel just for the sake of travel, then do the travel and don't post any photos on the internet. If you feel the need to broadcast to the world how much vacationing you do, then you probably aren't actually doing it for the travel experience, you're probably doing it to signal to people on the internet how much money you can spend.

"I love to travel!!" on the dating apps is just a dog whistle for people that want to filter people out by socioeconomic class. Travel actually kind of sucks. Airports suck. Airplanes suck. Hotels suck. Most travel experiences are overrated, and tourists are annoying as shit. If you've never traveled at all, then it's good to get out of your fish bowl and see the world, but constantly going to vacation destinations is exhausting, boring, and actually really lame.

I take everything at face value, I don't particularly care what your genitalia configuration/identity is. I don't know how to respond to nonsense, so I gave you a clear indication that I'm finished discussing whatever you're screeching about. No means no.

That's an interesting thought, and it's actually why I like places like PPD. Most people can't take a step back and analyze why people behave in certain ways, and most people think everything that happens in the world around them is about them, when mostly it's not. Everyone is focused on themselves and their own lives, and most people likely don't give anywhere near as many fucks about your life as you think they do.

If it's a totally random stranger commenting on your body fat, then yes that's weird. If it's someone you know about, or someone who cares about you, then they probably have good intentions, and you should give them the benefit of the doubt rather than jumping to ragemode and writing long posts about it on the internet. People think everything that happens in the world makes them a victim, but 99% of what other people say/do is not about you, they're just trying to exist in the world like everyo…

Great suggestion!

I'll put that on my todo list, just after "jump off the brooklyn bridge head first".
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:55 PM

I can't read good, but I do love fried chicken.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:44 PM

Why post anything if you're not looking for people to comment on it? This doesn't make any sense. Maybe I'm just not smart enough to understand how women use websites. Also, the post is literally ASKING for "TIPS" on how to respond to people who mention your weight. I gave OP the best answer: ignore them. But also, if someone cares about you and offers feedback, that's not automatically a bad thing. Obesity is a disease, and should be treated as such.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:41 PM

Idk, I guess I hate myself so much that I want to go there and find new reasons to hate myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:22 PM

I got banned from 2x for posting this comment. That sub is literally full of insane people, I pity all who get sucked into their negative, hateful, self-defeating narratives.

In nearly every relationship I've been in, I always did the majority of the chores, FWIW. I did date one woman who would do my laundry for me (I never asked her to do this, she would just do it, in fact I asked her not to do it but she did it anyway).

/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 05:54 PM

I'm not on the apps, but I have been in the past. I'm not that attractive, 7/10 is not good enough for most women, they demand at least a 9.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 05:54 PM

It is one of many reasons, but mostly it comes down to biology. Women are risk averse, naturally more fearful, and men have higher variability, take more risks (risk vs. reward), and have traditionally occupied the top and bottom of society in much higher proportions. Women seek the men at the top because that's what's best for them. Don't be mad, learn to adapt.

Indeed. War is inevitable as the rivers run dry, but precisely how it ends is unknown.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 02:02 PM

This is bullshit. Perhaps some men will refuse to help with children, but I know for a fact that most men are very much involved. All of my male friends who have children are extremely involved with their kids lives day-to-day. These horseshit tropes about how "only women get up in the middle of the night or change diapers" is just bigotry, false, and nonsense. If you married a dude only to find out much too late that he's lazy and doesn't help, that's on you, but more likely you're embellishing…

It's normal, and there's evidence that regular ejaculation prevents health problems such as prostate cancer. Here's one source.

There's no real upside to marriage anymore. It made sense when the relationships were more asymmetrical and transactional, where you depended on your partner. Now with everyone's 5 second attention span, and a new man available that same day with the swipe of the finger, why commit? For women, you can easily get a replacement man if you choose, provided you are willing to actually go on a date or message them or whatever. So why even try? Just walk away if he stops being whatever you want him to…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 12:52 AM

As a relatively attractive man (in real life), I can tell you this is dead wrong on the apps. Women are incredibly picky to the point of being insane. It's why they're all dating the same dude and can't figure out why he won't commit.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 12:37 AM

I think most men are surprised by the fact that women are so incredibly picky on the apps, while they themselves are quite underwhelming. How you perceive yourself is kind of irrelevant, and whether you have high or low self esteem it won't affect whether someone swipes left or right on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 12:29 AM

Same. In fact, I've had women break up with me because I wasn't rough enough with them. I don't really want to go to jail because someone changed their mind after they begged me to choke them or slap them around or whatever. It's so bizarre.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 12:21 AM

Porn has become this stupid boogeyman, but it's just a Red herring. People want to blame porn for their bad sex, but the more likely reason is that they are just not compatible with each other. Yes, it's true that some people might try to copy or emulate what they see in porn, but the real problem is that people just won't talk to their partner about their problems, they'd rather write a long-winded post on reddit about it without ever having a discussion with the only person in the world who th…

I have dated plenty of women over the years, but I ended my last long term (5+ year) relationship last year, and I have been on/off dating since then, and it has been quite miserable. I have tried all kinds of strategies: pretend I don't have money, use signals of wealth in casual ways, and straight up including brokerage statements in my dating profile. None of these strategies have worked to impress anyone, because women seem to only care about superficial attractiveness, and I'm only a 7/10 (…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 12:04 AM

Hey folks, I just want to say that as awful as some of you are, most of you are pretty thoughtful people, and I really enjoy reading you idiots argue all the time. I've read some really incredibly insightful things on here, and while it isn't as simple as red vs. blue, I'd say there are reasonable arguments on "both sides" of every debate–or rather, across all of the spectrum. But if I had to sum up all this entire debate on why dating sucks: either you adapt, or you die. QED.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 11:58 PM

It's all relative. If you're in middle America then the obesity rates are much higher than places like NYC or SF. You don't see as many obese people in places like NYC because people walk instead of driving everywhere, so they are less obese. If you're surrounded by obese people, you become normalized to that (it's abnormal and unhealthy, but your obesity is McDonald's profits).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 11:04 PM

We were told that if we did all these things we'd be all set: work hard respect women be a good person have a great career make lots of money be healthy, in good shape But once you've done all that, you find out the bar just moves up and unless you're really in the top 1% in terms of attractiveness, you will not be selected by any woman.

Just head over to any of the misandry subs like 2x or ask women over 30 and you'll see a bunch of daily posts about how all men are terrible and they've given up dating completely because someone on the apps *gasp* said dirty words to them (oh no!), and therefore all men are r*pists/ki11ers.

I've dated multiple woman who refused to communicate what they wanted, instead theyall had this idea that I should be able to just somehow figure out what's going on in their minds based on random "hints" and "clues" that they would drop here and there. For example, if I ask "what do you want for dinner?" and they say "Hmm, I don't know", then this actually translates into pizza but I have to figure that out somehow without being told.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:56 PM

Damn!!!!!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:45 PM

Idk, my liquid net worth is over $20mm and I hardly get to pick. I'm left to pick from whatever picks me. I'm 6ft tall (183cm), 165lbs, probably a 7/10, published author, highly respected in my field, yadda yadda. Women have just lost touch with reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:44 PM

Manhattan is great, just not on the apps. The apps are a world of delusion and unreality, where we're all victims and the only people who win are the shareholders of the corporations who force us to use their shitty products.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:38 PM

Sure come to Lower Manhattan and you can crush them all day, if you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:36 PM

I'm just as baffled as everyone by modern dating culture, so I don't really have any answers. But my guess is that it's a sort of learned helplessness, where people have been trained into swiping endlessly without really thinking much about what they do. Everyone wants to believe they have agency, but in reality we're just victims of the algorithms and dopamine loops that are designed to keep us all glued to the screens and inserting more money into the apps, or clicking on ads to buy random shi…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:35 PM

Could be. Except the data supports this exact pattern: women trying to date way, WAY up on the apps because of extreme gender inequality.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:30 PM

Jfc, the apps have melted peoples' brains. If we have really reduced judging everyone to a couple seconds of barely glancing at a photo, society is doomed.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:29 PM

Yeah, enough time that I could clearly see she was not good enough for most of the dudes she was rejecting, but in her mind I'm pretty sure she thought otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:24 PM

If you spend 1-3 seconds only looking at photos, how can you possibly know this? There is so much more to attraction than the first 2 photos in a dating profile. smh.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:22 PM

Bingo. You have earned a gold star.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:21 PM

tl;dr: Women grossly overestimate their value on the dating apps, and you can see this in action by observing a woman swiping.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:16 PM

I think because the times have changed. I'm actually in the best shape I've ever been, I have more money than I know what to do with, the only thing that's maybe less attractive about me is more baldness, but I'm pretty fashionable (in fact people randomly compliment me all the time in public). In real life I do just fine, on the apps however I can't get a date to save my life. Way she goes.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 09:15 PM

Today I was at a busy and hip cafe in NYC, close to the NYU campus, and the girl sitting in front of me was playing on her phone for about an hour while sipping her coffee. I like to go to cafes to people watch, get out of the apartment, get a coffee or snack, and do a bit of work (though tbh these places are very distracting so I rarely get much done). I also just get a real kick out of observing people out in the wild (judge people by their actions, etc). Anyway, this girl was compulsively fli…
