What's to stop male gamers excluding female gamers from games altogether if they feel threatened by frivolous complaints and bans? I know XBLA has a buddy system - so what's stopping A) the set up of male-only games to prevent the likelihood of any potential ban, which intensifies the problem, real or imagined; or B) dozens of men posing as women to gain the "privilege" of not being effected by the threat of a gendered ban? It just seems piecemeal and pandering to me.

In the metro paper, there was a small vox pop on the subject. Two women and two men were interviewed. One man supported, the other didn't. Both women didn't support the male pill saying they "didn't trust their partner enough to take it regularly." Very interesting.

I don't understand why this is necessary...I know plenty of intelligent women that chose science as a career. My own mother has a Master's degree in microbiology. I really fail to see why they're trying to shoehorn a gender into a field they simply do not choose to pursue. No one ever told any of the aforementioned females they "couldn't" be scientists.

A journalist, I cannot remember his name said we are close to living in a "post-fact" society - sources and verification are becoming irrelevant. Critical thinking isn't as vaunted as it was perhaps only 10 to 20 years ago.

I read this and it reminds me all too well of my undergraduate experience. During a politics class, approximately half of the subject was dedicated to feminism, including a diatribe against men under the guise of "Lesbian Feminism." In her hour-long rant, if you took all the mentions of "men" and replaced it with a referent to any other race, religion or creed, the lecturer would rightly never have held tenure at any educational institution ever again.

I have been a long time supporter of the Men's Shed in Australia, although it's outside my demographic. There are almost literally no men's spaces left and this is literally just feminism for the sake of feminism. If both men and women of can't see the sheer absurdity in opposing such a valuable enterprise to help men's health then I would doubt they are of "sound mind."

That's exactly it. If a woman rapes a man this slogan implies it's the onus of the man to stop it if we hold that only men can stop rape. So if, as a man, you did not stop the rape from occurring to yourself, ergo, the rape would be your fault. I think this is the most pervasive feminist meme on the internet at the moment - that boys are taught to blame rape victims and become rapists themselves - total misandrist bullshit. As a man who was raped by a woman, I would argue that women raping men is part of a rape ignorance "culture" although I'm too rationally minded to even believe such a paranoid assertion.

I cannot stand Mareike Hardy; all of her trite, twee, pretentious words are spurred by a thinly veiled irrational hatred of men and masculinity. The virulent hatred that feminist academia (i.e., any woman that has a job in the media) peddle in Australia needed to be called to account. These women consistently and without reserve blame all their perceived ills on men whenever the world justifiably tells them no. This is a great victory for men in Australia, I feel.

That's a good question; when I lived in Atlanta, GA coming from Australia, I was expected to act with far more chivalry than my supposedly liberal-leaning, Feminist dominated Australian society. I was chided many times for not offering my seat to women first and other such nonsense.

Australian humanities and media studies is still dominated by feminism - Doing an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in humanities the feminist streak runs thick and deep. The media is embedded with feminist perspectives and it's patently obvious when you analyze it at any level. For example, the feminist "SlutWalk" got prominent coverage in Australia while a new hotline for men's issues received no attention.

I saw the movie a few days ago and it was definitely rape. I've read reviews of the film and not many refer to the rape scene as a rape scene, if they refer to it at all.
