Because following stereotypic gender roles are no longer useful. Men can represent themselves with feminine characteristics and women can with masculine characteristics because it’s no longer practical or appropriate to be restrictive. We’re exponentially more comfortable, the death rate isn’t soaring, people are generally healthy. Ok, but how does being black, skinny, fat not allow for any of those universal preferences to be present? You can still be any race along with any level of body fat and still have those proportions/features. I guess the being old one could leave out the ample breast and youth preferences, but older women still could meet the other ones.

Easy, rich women scare men because it violates the social norm that men are the financial providers. When your identity is challenged you make arbitrary reasons to rationalize how the thing that is contradicting you as false. Examples being, she inherited it, she got a cop out, she used her sex to get it, all that stuff. This also includes insulting the woman in terms of her intelligence and skill, or using her sex to denounce her achievements entirely.
