I understand what you're saying and I agree that it somewhat nonsensical to think about it all of the time. I just feel like we're smart enough to endure for much longer than we're actually going to. I don't feel like we're living up to our full potential. We aren't cooperative enough and it's incredibly depressing.

Fuck it. We live on a finite planet with finite resources. The alternative is to just keep fucking and consuming our way to a third world war. The planet is already right now undergoing a mass extinction. We are likely going down with it.

That sounds...empty.

At some point you got to say fuck it. Maybe you will have some awkward moments, in fact you probably will. I promise even the seemingly smoothest guys out there have had some awkward moments. In short, you'll move on from them. After a couple weeks you'll forget about it. So will the girl. You're making it sound like you'll die. You won't, life will go on and you'll look back and laugh. I've been in exactly your shoes.

It happens. It could be any number of reasons. Don't over think it. Don't reach out to the chicken anymore. Next.

WTF? Tell you're family she's terrible for you and makes you feel like shit. Get rid of contact info and block her communications. Get a restraining order placed on her crazy ass if need be.

Redditors want specific openers because the words "charm" and "conversational skills" are overly broad and vague. I agree with you though that with confidence you can often say damn near anything

I'd say slow down. Dance with her for a few songs. Take her to a table and chat, get her a drink. Don't be so eager that fast you look desperate

What are your interests and hobbies? Programming? Art? Guitar? Sports? Find some clubs that involve just doing stuff with people. At first, just focus on doing stuff with people. Over time, there's a good chance some of them will become friends

When I lost mine I was self-conscious about telling her too (I also lost my virginity relatively late). I felt like I would be viewed negatively and would lead to her flaking on me or something. So I didn't. It was by no means terrible. However, I told her afterward and she was stunned. She said not just then but for a while she really wished that I would have told her. She said she would have approached it all much differently. So based on my own experience I would tell her. If she's into you I…

Lol @ equating social media presence to being "alpha" I guess there were never alphas before Facebook.

Happens fairly often with my gf. Keep your cool. I typically wear a slight smirk and watch them flounder. It often means that I spend less on drinks.

That depends on the girl man. Maybe 19 year olds won't care. No girl over 23 I know would date a guy like that.

What is key is a mindset of outcome independence. The most important part is a mentality of regardless of what happens it is okay. Girls pickup on a detached guy just looking for a bit of fun. Get one to go out with you. Then, be friendly but in a chill manner. Don't take this too literally but think of it like talking to a cousin from out of state you haven't talked to in a while.

I lost my V card at your age. I understand how you feel. What you need is to get in shape and start dressing sharp. Even second-hand stores have some great stuff. Then, most importantly, you need a case of the FUCK-ITs. Start asking girls out. One says no or doesn't return your call? FUCK-IT. You'll forget all about her in a couple weeks at most. Eventually, after not giving a fuck long enough it will show. Then a girl will say yes. Take her for dinner and drinks. Make her giggle. Then you'll ge…

Yeah I'm probably going to have to go with online dating or just hitting ladies up at the grocery store.

Not trying to call anyone an idiot but he's right man. I'd be really careful if I was you. If it's an open relationship then more power to you there's just no sense in getting married. Again, not saying you're an idiot I have the same problems. It's fucking ridiculous that I can't read, climb, or play a game on my own for a couple hours without them getting all mopey and shit. Like it's a crime to........ Be the person you are who actually attracted them in the first place

Those are the types of women I don't even bother talking to. I have a decent job but not like that. Even though I am a decent looking guy I have nothing to offer

I find it abysmally depressing that clarity and empathy are weak in people's eyes.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
