That sounded scripted. That host had that answer prepared and the way she asked the question sounded weird to me. I share the sentiment he's putting forth though.

Ok. The afghan government doesn't even control Afghanistan beyond Kabul let alone all of Kabul. Afghanistan is a failed state. Karzai couldn't have done shit. I'm not saying the CIA didn't have it's hands in heroin trafficking out of Afghanistan, but it sure as hell isn't being coordinated by that virtual afghan «government». Basically, the taliban are full of shit like almost all religious leaders. They claim to want a pure islamic regime yet you see them wearing rolex watches and driving fancy…

I dunno.... The idea that «Nerds» have no game is quite omnipresent. People understand art better than science. To the unitiated it just looks like they're working too much instead of honing their craft.

I couldn't fin the quote I was looking for but I think it was attributed to Eddie Van Halen and went like this: « In high school, my girl asked me to choose between her and my guitar. Guess which one I chose.» It's basically the equivalent of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px_YlHkk74E Another passion in your life is built in dread game. »You're the third or fourth love of my life, so step it up. Count yourself lucky I keep you around. With creative types, their entourage often feel «honou…

First of all, LOL @ Canada. Obvious trolling. Second of all, this girl expected people to actually produce a good photoshop (alter bone structure and make her look thinner) for 5$ to 30$? And the Huffington Post takes this seriously? This must've been slightly insulting to most of the people she contacted, to say the least. These people have a special skill and, for this reason, they are paid much more than minimum wage. This is like going to a shoemaker and asking for 10$ shoes. Here are your f…

Exactly. When my friend got dumped I introduced him to «spinning plates» without actually mentionning plates. He was way too sad so I told him that the thing about girls is that you always have to have a couple of options on the side so that when you lose one of them, it doesn't hurt cause you can fall back on something else. He told me this helped him tremendously. That night we went out and scored. So yeah it's possible

What should you do in this situation? Keeping my cool and not hitting her back would be a fucking hard thing to do.

God damn. Nice quick wit right there, chap. Are you british? I read that comeback in a british accent for some reason.

That made me remember one time in college a friend of mine slept with a girl from one of his class and the next day she told him she had a boyfriend. My friend was shocked as she had acted as if she was single and available... Anyway, we found out who her boyfriend was and found out his number and my friend just called him up and explained the whole situation and told him to leave her. I think more men need to «look out» for each other like that.

Sounds like you have inner game issues. Whether you win a fight doesn't matter. Whether you defended yourself well is what matters. Never feel dominated.

Yeah. Now, I get what you're saying. Still, the superficialness of public mainstream conversation makes me a little more misanthropic every day and I don't know how to stop it.

This guy's career is already made. This IS the pinnacle of his career, there are no more impressions to give. As one guy on reddit said the other day, he participated in possibly the greatest trick shot in the history of humankind. He could do the interview naked or dressed in sexy female BDSM gear, nobody cares. We just want to know how they did it, how he felt when it landed successfully, what we will learn, what principles were applied, etc. Besides, an argument could be made that this shirt …

Everyone said she would win for sure in 2008. And then someone beat her.

I personally hope she wins. Because it would mean that we could use this case as precedent in court.

What is the motive to make prostitution illegal? The canadian parliament is majority Conservative Party of Canada. Although they are not as right-wing as America was during the Bush years, they are keeping the neo-con Bush Jr. dream alive. Anchored in a religious sentiment is this idea of preserving the sanctity of marriage and of the traditional family. In this worldview, sex before or outside of marriage is immoral and so you get these kinds of bills. Americans will at this point ask themselve…

Yeah. There are translations. It's called «L'arrache-coeur» in french and «Heartsnatcher» in english. Be warned. It's set in a surreal place where the elderly are sold as merchandise and involves doggystyle «psychanalysis» between the mother's maid and the narrator Jaquemort, a psychanalist. I personally think that Jaquemort is society itself on a quest to understand itself. Which would explain his disarray when the father leaves for good.

There is a french book I once read called Heartsnatcher by famous author and musician Boris Vian written in a very surreal style about the roles of men and women in the modern world. There is a very striking examination of overprotective mothers and how they destroy childhoods. The main character is Clementine, a mother who punishes her husband for causing her the excruciating pain of giving birth to three babies. As they age, she becomes increasingly obsessed with protecting them, going so far …
