I'm seconding the point about cook books being oriented towards men or women seems unusual + unnecessary? Also, depends on the food you like - high protein? Meat eater? Vegetarian? BBQ? What do you like? Also second the point that Google is best place for this these days. Bonus is you can compile your own recipe book over the next few years when you find a recipe you like (print it and put in folder). I read The Game about 6 months ago and my oh my it blew me away with insight into female behaviour. I think that is a good stepping stone into understanding inter-gender dynamics, and of course PUA has the zeal of being the first stop for a lot of men to educate themselves on the matter - but the problem is just that, it is the first stop and does not nearly go deep enough to properly help men rebuild themselves into stronger & wiser men. Haven't checked the audiobook but I must say this is the kind of book that drops truth bombs on every page. IMO that makes it not a good book to listen to as I find myself rereading a lot of paragraphs and highlighting a lot.

Glad to have another suggestion for this book. I have it on my Kindle ready to go already, although I am a little cautious that this one may be hard to swallow. Like you said - it may upset my peace. But regardless I will read it and take it with a grain of salt.

I don't get why there are so many down votes. I agree with your comment, this absolutely needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I have seen examples in my life that challenge the hypergamy hypothesis, although I have also seen many examples that confirm it. Reality is most truths about the nature of human behaviour (men or women) is not going to be 100% accurate 100% of the time.
