Obviously. We all agree dating is hard, we all want to meet people IRL, we all hate dating apps, we all hate being ghosted, we’re all lonely, we all want more sex, but we’re all somehow, to some extent, part of it too

Escorts are not a substitute for anything, not it is better or worse, it's not a solution like some people think and it's not as bad as most people is set to perceive it as. It is simply a different experience, a fun one that can be good or bad, risky or not, etc, but it's a different thing, it shouldn't replace anything else if you decide to engage in such activity.

Very smart and mature to make a whole psychological assessment based on a few anonymous Reddit comments… What I’m saying is also psychology and also facts. You’re the only one literally expressing being insulted. You are right bro, you are, but this red pill mentality is counterproductive, studying these things is shooting yourself in the foot, this is what the Manosphere doesn’t get. It is cringey, it is repugnant, it is extra, it communicates resentment and victimhood. There’s objective truths…

Incel debate lords with victim mentality are not attractive, that's also pretty objective.

Hahaha so they prove attractive handsome men exist? Okay…

Being handsome exists. Gold diggers exist. The whole theorization around it is cringy and based on resentment and it’s a victim looser mindset.

I would also reject a woman hitting on me if I don’t find her attractive, I have, but of course women making the first move happens less. The big difference is that most women don’t represent a physical threat to men, so I can reject her kindly. Most men do represent a potential physical threat to women, and we often forget about it as men. It’s a biological imperative that most men can physically overpower most women, and even if it sounds silly and paranoid because it’s not like you’re gonna r…

I do like to pay, it's just a courtesy regardless of if she expects that. It's also weird to separate tabs beforehand or do the math after, I don't know bro just relax, it's really a minority the ones that will try to just get free food and usually you can anticipate that, they are a whole type, it's not that hard to discern such superficial people from the rest. The women I know that do that even LOOK like they do that...

What do you mean then? Just not paying the whole bill?

Haha this was written by a banker or something.... Dude I have NEVER ordered for a woman, I usually pay but never ordered for her. It's a date not an audition for a step daughter. Also, girls who go out with you just for free food (does happen, I know) are like 2 or 3 freaks, it's not like you have to be paranoid about it and strategize to catch them.

This exists mostly in the head of men who consider themselves low tier men and resent women and men they consider superior.

Some men confuse vulnerability with insecurity. Insecurity is unnatractive to women. I do think vulnerability CAN be attractive, but most examples men can think of when they've showed "vulnerability" and they shot themselves in the foot, they actually just showed insecurity. Showing vulnerability with responsibility and self awareness can actually be a big display of self confidence.

I personally find it very hot for a woman to be super successful and doesn’t intimidate me if she makes more money than me. This idea that we don’t like successful women is mostly pushed by victim-brain yass-queen man-hating female incels. Like “oh they don’t like me cuz I slay” no sweetie you’re just unbearable.

There are biological imperatives; masculinity and femininity at their core come from 2 very simple undeniable imperatives: women create life and most men can physically overpower most women. Period. I agree a lot of gender is a social construct and it can be an endless debate that I’m personally very bored with, but gender roles stem from these fundamental biological imperatives; men protect, women nourish. At its most primal version, men go out to hunt, women stay in the cave with the offspring…

No one is getting metoo'd for an approach but people feel uncomfortable even trying (on both sides), just see other comments in this post alone. The overall perception these days is that it's unacceptable. And what exactly do you mean by porn addiction not being real...?

Hahaha look it up about porn addiction being a problem in young men, super easy to find. About the rest: ok...

How many dating apps are out there? And new ones keep coming and getting niche. Capitalism is 100% trying to find a solution. Onlyfans is another reaction of capitalism solving people’s loneliness. The fact that these attempts at “solving it” from capitalism are making it worse, doesn’t mean it’s not a problem trying to get solved. Also, since when capitalism actually solves anything?

Interesting POV. I don't disagree. I would say the isolation in technology and apps and porn as coping mechanisms for the general depression and apathy caused by the issues you mention exacerbate the dating crisis, and technology also make us "hyperaware" of those geopolitical issues that make people feel hopeless as we are bombarded with info and polarized about everything. I think it's connected, it's not just one or the other.

I agree, and I also do very "well" but this debate is interesting to me not from the standpoint of complaining about my personal experience but from observing a general problem.

You should approach women. There's situation in which is totally ok and even expected. You need to learn how and when. I find it very sad to simply discard the option completely.

About your last paragraph; no, I didn't say that. I think it's great that there's awareness about SA and I agree that a lot of men don't know how to do these approaches and when to stop (as I said), but there's also uncertainty in what exactly is considered harassment, you and me might know very well, but again, these are generalized global things, and for some women (a minority) even saying hi at a cafeteria is already creepy, and there is a generalized fear among some men to be seen as creepy,…

100% agree

I agree. I'm not proposing a world where we're all saying hi to all strangers around and getting their numbers even when they're at work or the gym, but people do seem like in their own bubbles in some settings that could/should be ideal to socialize and it doesn't seem to be the norm to do so anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 04:01 PM

I don't disagree... But I think that "resistance" to socialize is part of the same change in mindset and habits created by technology in general.

I agree most men suck at reading cues but the "everything is ok" POV is an oversimplification or based in your immediate circle as I added at the end of the post. Look up general global stats about this. Most women are not "fine" and there is a clear dating crisis. If it doesn't reach your specific circle that's another topic.

I agree genzies are soft but I wouldn't reduce it to men only. people under 27 ish seem very fragile. I am 30 btw so kind of in between that and millennials I guess. I practice what I preach and do interact IRL and of course rejection is harsh but I think I do "ok" with it.

Couldn't agree more with you! I often see people in the subway swiping on their dating app of choice, with headphones, looking down with bad posture, instead of just looking up and around, smiling, it feels like it should be so simple... I saw a very pretty girl in the subway one time, with huge isolating headphones and reading a book totally zoned out. I peaked and saw that the book was about how to meet men and filter thru red flags to find partnership. I've seen women reading books around tho…

You didn’t understand. Hot or not, the obnoxious part is not the high standards per se. The problem is not that they expect men to pay (I also mentioned that I always pay) it’s the discourse around it, the whole attitude of “I deserve I’m worth it you work you chase you crawl for me” that cringe victim/ego trip that I’ve seen mostly among women (and men) that are not that attractive and not charismatic at all. It’s like the guys from that fresh&fit podcast and idk what the equivalent for women w…

Men and women with that type of super high standard and unrealistic demands are usually not that attractive and not charismatic at all. It’s usually resentment driven, not ideology driven. Every woman I’ve heard with this type of view is not even hot or has clear baggage from shitty exes. It’s ok to have super high standards and to expect men to pay; I pay, I also have very high standards for women, but it’s more like the discourse around it and the ranting out loud and announcing what you expec…
