I've only ever heard the term used to describe the killing and abandonment of girl babies in countries like China (particularly during the one child policy), where sons are preferred over daughters to such a concerning degree, and this would very much be relevant to a word describing murders based on sex. I don't think it would be fair to use it for just any case where a woman is murdered, since that takes away from the cases that truly are because the victim is female.

Female privilege is being allowed to express anger without being treated as a threat. Even after I simply came out as ftm, I noticed how uncomfortable some friends would get if I was angry or upset when prior to coming out, it wasn't a big deal; I wasn't even on testosterone or anything that would altered my body in any way, but people just knowing I'm a man means I can't really be angry without making people afraid.

Why do you sound like you're talking about Jesus and just changed some words?

There's a sort of attachment to the word "patriarchy," even when the concept doesn't apply to the problem at all. Even when the issue has more relation to class or only benefits women at the expense at men, their answer is still "patriarchy" as if they don't have any other words to describe whatever is going on. I feel like there ought to be an openness to other terms/words/phrases at the very least.

I'm sure there are plenty of lesbian allies.

I'm glad you notice this, because a lot of people tend to jump to "transmisogynists hate trans women because they're trans and women" when in reality that gives transphobes way too much credit. What is commonly called "transmisogyny" is just another flavor of misandry, and the violence that comes with it explicitly involves the perpetrator viewing the trans woman as a man.

The last few slides are why "men are never afraid of going out at night" is such a lie.

It's so sad when "allies" look so browbeaten, like they haven't been allowed to have an original thought in years. It was one of the first things I noticed when searching for other trans men to connect with, it was like they needed to "make up for" transitioning.

They cry about "imperfect victims" when it's an abuser like Amber Heard, but don't even extend that to Johnny Depp despite their newfound obsession with "mutual abuse." Victims are only allowed to be imperfect if they're women.

I can't even count how many standards claimed to have been made by men that men simply don't care about. There was some controversy about how "only mother's day is under threat by dog moms because patriarchy" when the only reason no cat/dog dad is "taking over" father's day is because (most) men don't really care about who is a "real" dad.

They'll take anything that explicitly favors and/or benefits women and turn it into "this is misogyny!"

ED isn't just "limp penis," though. Couples who genuinely want to get busy encounter it as an obstacle. I think this article is compiling a long list of reasons someone might have difficulty in feeling aroused and equating those with ED. Sometimes parts don't want to work like they're supposed to; bodies are made of so many parts that can go wrong, I never understood the jump to blame society rather than accepting that bodies aren't going to be 100% perfect all the time.

The first step is to stop pathologizing male childhood. I've seen it argued that "boys did fine in the past before the girls just did everything better" but both education as a system and childhood as a concept have changed rapidly, just about every generation. To make matters worse, when disorders like ADHD are misdiagnosed in children as a result of this pathologization, children are not given agency when it comes to managing their medications' side effects. Boys are treated like they're defec…

The problems caused by female socialization usually come from female peers. I grew up perceived as female, and it wasn't the boys who forced me to put on a "people pleaser" mask because anything less than conformity meant social suicide. It was the girls who made the unwritten rules on who was a worthy person to be around; if I liked something they didn't care about they'd either walk away as soon as I mentioned it or they'd pretend to like it all while giggling to their friends about how bad I …

The way journalists act about this paints Amber Heard to be the only person on Earth who has been a subject of memes for how she acted. Have they been living under some kind of rock? This happens to every single subject of current headlines. Heard isn't special.

Just who is doing the "gaslighting" here? To me, it sounded like Heard was the major one gaslighting, to the point the things she had said genuinely triggered me due to past experience with abusers who happened to be women.

Ultimately, it was about journalists reviewing games working in the interests of whatever benefits themselves rather than the interests of the consumers. Its beginnings come from a conflict of interest that arose from a journalist giving a positive review of a game developed by a woman he engaged in sexual activities with. This raised a lot of suspicions of other game reviews, whether they were actually decent games or they only received positive press because they received some kind of gain und…

A general unwelcoming atmosphere with casual misandry that would get doubled down if I said I had a problem with that. Now people in my life will make an effort to single me out whenever they tell me how much they hate men; even my mother does this.

Since I realized I'm a trans man, I've grown more aware of the privileges that come with being perceived as a woman. I feel dysphoric as hell but I can't deny being closeted has had social and even financial benefit when in public. In places I'm openly a man, I've actually been treated worse! To be honest, though, I'd rather be treated worse knowing people perceive me as a man than be treated better and feeling miserable about people perceiving me as a woman.

It takes two to tango. Just as having sex involves both parties working together, why shouldn't the mutual decision to have an abortion be any different? Isn't communication a vital part of relationships? I don't see why men who have been supportive of their sexual partners terminating a pregnancy shouldn't have a voice in saying "we're in this together."

I've seen feminists claim to be "literally crying" at the concept of Johnny Depp being a victim of abuse, one even went as far as to say he deserved it.

It's so much victim blaming. Men are expected to find the cause of their problems within either themselves or the class of men. Anything in favor of women is somehow always to prop up men, even in circumstances that simply do not make sense (what benefit does a man truly receive from losing his children, from being unable to find justice after being abused; his "ego" has likely been already shattered from the wrongdoings themselves that it wouldn't matter that it made him "stronger" somehow)
