There absolutely nothing wrong with chaste people wanting the same in a partner. It's a preference that most people have, especially men.

It's nice that you're so patient. :)

That's a great compromise. You guys can use those 5 months to role play what a SAHD situation would be like. Any money coming from his work should be put immediately aside or in savings so that it's not accounted for in the day to day budget to see if it's viable from a financial perspective. 5 months is a fair amount of time to try the new situation out. :)

I'm not OP, FYI, but from OP's actual post, he's had several blind taste experiences to which he essentially had toddler tantrums. 🙄

The problem is that he's not actually acting like an adult at all and doesn't seem to be able to put mind over matter. It's actually pretty disturbing.

Does he prefer health problems? I struggle to understand this childish behavior he's displaying. A man does what he needs to, including making adjustments to what he's used to on the advice of professionals. Sorry, but that was exceedingly off putting to read. From my perspective, since your intentions are pure and you're helping him, it's fine. If he's too silly to do it himself, at least he has someone looking out for him. And he doesn't hate vegetables, he just hates knowing he's eating them …

But...you know it has vegetables in based on this post?

I see. It is certainly dimmer, so you'll definitely want to take that into consideration, especially with regards to paint. White will mostly just be white (but maybe go a little brighter than you would normally). I'm glad to hear it's helped! Good luck!

You're very welcome! If I may ask, how did the solar paneling take away from the natural light? Does it cover the windows? If you're struggling with too much light generating too much heat, something like white linen drapes or woven natural fiber roll up drapes would add a great look and be functional as well. If you have some pictures of your rooms (maybe a living room or a dining room/craft room) I can offer more specific advice. :) Hope it feels less overwhelming with everyone's input! I'd ev…

It's great that you already have a theme you know you want to achieve, ultimately. Good job! :) For French Coastal Country, I think: white, pale blue and sand tones. Here's a great Pinterst board with some inspiration If you have a muted purple, that will work great as a pop of color in this setup, so no stress on that. What color is it, exactly, if I may ask? Any of these might work, but I'm partial to Storybook Charm or maybe even Mouthwatering for layering (2 sets of pillows on the couch, for…

Not to mention the expanded range of influences we're exposed to now in this hyper connected reality we're in. You're no longer the product of just your parents and school friends, you have no way of controlling who/what your children are exposed to online.

Your situation is clearly different in most ways though, and I think that's pretty apparent from your story. Sucks about your dad. :(

The internet wasn't needed because the village was more local. Your neighbors would put you in line as easily as your own parents. If you listened to the video, he mentions they've been trying to reach her better. Just because you're only seeing the final step doesn't mean there weren't other correctional steps leading up to this moment. Fuck off.

I mean, I think children can be difficult especially at a certain age. More often than not, they can be completely wrong because they're vantage point is pretty narrow, etc. But the husband here...OP's post gives me no sense of what he actually does, what does he contribute to the household? A man's presence is actually very important and the way he establishes the tone if the household can frequently get ahead of issues (especially with kids) before they even start. But I don't get a sense that…

OP's language makes me deeply uncomfortable. It gives the vine of an eldest child burdened with the responsibility of a partner and struggling, not one of a partner.
/r/RedPillWives15/07/19 07:52 PM

I agree with this. It feels like OP's husband isn't fulfilling his duties as a father/husband/mediator. If OP is struggling with the oldest child, what is her husband doing when things escalate? Shouldn't he be the one to step in and say, "Don't speak to your mother like that." and establish acceptable behavior in the household? Why does it sound like Husband is a whiny roommate? Sounds like he needs individual counseling in addition to marital counseling.

I think the posts here in response to you really give a clear, objective picture: you're doing fine, more than your share, and your husband has somehow lead you to believe he's this amazing genius while pushing many of his responsibilities onto you. I'm sorry you feel so woefully inadequate, when the reality is that he needs to step up.

This is actually the argument I was trying to make, looks like it didn't come across, based on the votes. :P Generally speaking, camping, hiking, and other outdoorsy activities are done by boys, but there's nothing preventing girls from doing those things, too. My comment was meant to tell the OP that they're free to do the buy things whole being girls if they like-minded activities aren't inherently gender restricted. Your gripe with the issue at hand is the same as mine, I can't understand peo…

There is so much wrong in that article! “She didn’t get up that morning to say, ‘I’m going to go onto a highway in a drunken stupor, I’m going to run into this car and I’m going to kill people,’” he said. “She never planned that.” Regardless of whether she planned it or not, that's exactly what she did end up doing. Your thoughts don't make you a good person, your actions do. Her actions murdered 4 innocent people. Prisoner advocate John Hutton, who leads the John Howard Society of Manitoba, sai…

No, according to the religion, a woman can see another woman's face, no issues there at all. If the provision can be made it should be done, for sure.

Islam lays out rules for all aspects of life, sure, but the governments and cultures certainly don't adhere to them all, as you can see by there being plenty of music and dancing at Muslim weddings as well as in places such as India, Pakistan and Indonesia (Indonesia being the country with the largest Muslim population).

The experience you're relating is your friend's, not yours, which makes it second hand. I'm not saying it's not valid, it certainly is, but semantics are important here. Again, you're putting words in my mouth. I'm not saying any of these things don't happen. They do. But I absolutely disagree as to their cause, which is important if anyone's interested in addressing any kind if corrections. If we're going to resort to Google searches on domestic abuse, there are thousands of cases every year in…

It matters because you'll want to look for a cure for AIDS, not the flu in your analogy. Likewise, if the religion isn't the problem in the region, eradicating it won't solve the underlying cultural issues that are causing the double standards in the first place. The tone and angle of the education and outreach that needs to happen will need to be different to affect change.

Okay? I mean, I'm not sure what you expect me to say when I'm telling you my lived (admittedly anecdotal) experiences and you're relying on second or third hand sources. You're free to believe or disbelieve if you like, nothing I can do about that. Regarding the actual issue—I really don't know what you're saying. I'm agreeing with you on the fact that these things happen, but am further explaining how they came to be. Saudi Arabia is a completely different culture from the Indo-Pak one we were …

Well, what can I say? Of course the practice is prevalent in the region, it's right next to India, where it's been imported, along with the idea that women are servants for men (the Hindu religion considers the husband a god). It's a cultural practice, so yes, it happens in the area, but if they were practicing Islam as they should (and as can be proven by looking at the actual text), this would not be happening. That's all I'm saying and I don't see how it's contrary to anything you've stated. …

That's shit bro, and I'm sorry that happened. Glad she was able to get away. This is an entirely cultural (as opposed to religious) thing, however. In the actual religion itself, it's forbidden to force anyone into marriage and women are specifically given permission to refuse a marriage for as "superficial"a reason as appearances/looks.

Correcting a Muslim about her own religion by telling her she's talking about "a topic [she] doesn't understand]," nice. Colloquially everyone in this discussion understands Islam to be a religion, so why would I get pedantic about it when it's not related to the topic at hand? I mean, I know I'm on Reddit, but still.

You should try speaking to actual Muslims about their religion, that'll probably give you better insights off which to base your opinion.
