I ended up answering him with “nah I’m fine, upset the nats lost” and changed the topic completely. My friend reminded me that this was only going to be our third date in which we don’t really have claim to each other, like him flaking sucks but it’s not like we’re officially dating so...

Thanks for the advice he texted me this morning saying “Hey, is everything okay? Im getting the feeling I upset you”, I’m not sure if I should even reply. He obviously annoyed me with the last minute cancellation but I also don’t want him to think that he had the power to affect me that much.

I know exactly what you mean! I added it below when responding to other’s advice. Finding the line between showing him I was annoyed/upset at the cancellation and showing him I don’t care because I had other plans in his place lol. I really like this whole “being chased” thing
