I truly don’t have an issue dating a Christian man, but they’ve had an issue with my practices and beliefs. I’ve tried explaining craft in super light, friendly terms, starting with talk of manifestation, energy, intentions, and I kind of ease into it. Don’t even use scary words like “spell”. Lots of men in my area who are agnostic/atheist (my preference) are ultra Bernie boys with no ambition. It’s honestly the worst dichotomy to deal with. Happy to see other witches here though!! Thanks for th…

Would love to know if you encountered any issues as a witch while searching for an RP man. I’m a witch myself, and I find many RP men (in the Southern US) are very, very Christian and ultimately cannot deal with the witch thing. It’s so difficult!

Even if he hadn't been driving, the phone call still killed it for me. Couldn't take him seriously after that. We've been on 2 dates and you think I'm on your sloppy drunk dial rotation? Sorry dude. Total 180 from the man I'd been on dates with.

Oh yeah, the whole thing made me angry. Drunk dialing is one thing. Drunk dialing someone you've been on two dates with is another. Doing it while driving? Instant rage. Even if he hadn't asked me to come over to have sex, I wouldn't have been able to get past the drunk driving thing.

Thanks! He did make it sound like he was interested in an LTR, so the drunken booty call surprised me. On our date before he had even mentioned wondering how he'd explain to his parents how we met (Match.com) since they were older and not too keen on online dating. I was thoroughly shocked by the whole ordeal as he'd been such a gentleman, but I feel it showed me who he really was, so bullet dodged. I'm focusing on the fact that I conducted myself maturely and responsibly, toned down my usually …

No not at all, I stated I wasn't looking for a 2am drunken booty call. I said I was interested in dating/relationships in a general sense, certainly not with him after that fiasco.

Exactly. I feel a lot more confident going into future dates after feeling like I stayed true to my ideals and intentions.

Precisely. It terrified me how drunk he was. Nearly incoherent. If a man can't take care of his own safety and has no regard for those around him, I'm not interested.

You don't think the baked goods are overkill for the next date? I loooove baking and it would make me so giddy to be able to make something for him, I just don't want to freak him out. Like I said, this is my first foray into RP. Unfortunately my parents live 4 hours away :(

Thanks :) These are all things I'm working diligently to keep in mind. I am doing my very best to be positive, upbeat and make his life better in every way that I presently can.

I think near the end of our dinner date Saturday I'll bring it up and clarify. Thanks!

Thank you for your response. Would you suggest waiting for him to initiate a conversation about sex again, or should I go out of my way to alert him specifically to this fact?

Thanks! So explicitly stating is the way to go if he brings it up again.

No no no, I understand that these are two entirely different things. I'm not at all trying to equate them. In fact, in retrospect, mentioning that little fact is irrelevant. My point I was attempting to make by bringing it up is that I understand the dichotomy of deferring to a man and relinquishing a degree of my tendency to be controlling. I do not desire a D/s relationship. That was years ago. I am asking how I can be a better person. I was laying down the facts on a more superficial level so…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
