I was just referring to pure wage amount, not total income/earnings for a year (since one of those is the ~1% and the other is ~77%). I'm not disagreeing with you on the earnings though! I think the ~1% could probably be attributed to wage negotiation skills more than anything, but that's purely anecdotal from my own personal experiences. | 9 | Wage GapBut you would still get paid the same amount (wage, not total earnings), regardless of sick days. Same with vacation. The rate someone is paid ($20/hr for the same job, as an example) should be equal. Time off wouldn't impact the wage ($20/hr) your employer pays you, you would just earn less.
