Can we please stick to discussing dating dynamics and the SMP? I don't understand why TRPers have to turn this sub into Gender Studies 101.

You said you're a 6 in height so that must mean you're above average height. Considering average is 5'9"-5'10", a 6 would translate to 5'11"+. Are you really telling me that only being 5'11" will greatly hurt your chances in dating if you have a really handsome face? LOL!

Isn't a 9 face almost perfect? Why aren't you modeling?

This has been my experience as well.

Maybe you're not that hot?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/15 05:05 PM

It's probably because you're not a hot guy. When you're dating someone above you in attractiveness you have to compensate somehow. If you went for women at your level, things would be easier.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/15 04:46 PM

Looks are more important than game. Sure, a 6 with game can do better than a 7 without it, but that 9 will crush both of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/15 11:47 AM
2

Yes, a substantial proportion of them believe this. I remember them once telling a 5'2" guy that with proper frame he could regularly bang hotties. Unless you're overweight or you get lucky with money/status the most you can improve realistically is 2 points.

Opposite.

That only happens with unattractive guys.

I can get commitment from unattractive guys when I try but why bother? They expect me to look good and stay in shape when they won't do the same. I get very little from those relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 05:27 PM
2

Yeah but it's really hard to get a relationship in the modern market with an equal SMV guy. I'm a 6 and while I can get into FWBs with 6s and 7s it's hard to get a relationship with one. Even a lot of 5s act entitled although I could find a 5/10 bf within a week if I really wanted to. Men these days actually have really high standards for relationships and most decent looking ones (6+) are unwilling to commit. That's why I laugh at TRP. It acts like female sluttiness in the problem when in fact …
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 05:25 PM
4

Yeah, in my experience men are actually the more delusional ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 05:21 PM
3

You're probably not an 8 lol. If you were an 8 you would never have found TRP.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 04:40 PM
1

Exactly. I know very few women who want to casually date and fuck just for the sake of it. Men are significantly more likely to have this attitude. I seriously know no woman that just wants to play the field and I think this is a projection of male desires actually. Personally I want an attractive guy to commit to me. Unfortunately a lot of guys who are attractive tend to be players and cheaters or just don't make very caring and supportive bfs. My ideal guy would be physically attractive and be…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 04:39 PM
2

I actually disagree with TRP when they say hot guys fuck average girls consistently. I think they have a skewed view of what the average girl looks like. I do think that girls will often enter FWB relationships with men slightly more attractive (a 6 with a 7).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 04:35 PM
3

It's really hard to find an attractive and providing guy. Most attractive guys are players and cheaters in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 04:33 PM
2

No they don't. I'm usually on top when my bf and I have sex and it matter to me. I don't think I'm some special snowflake either. I don't want a guy that has a super awkward, doormat personality, but I don't need a guy that dominates me in the bedroom or whatever. I just want him to be hot, have a nice package, not be too awkward and cuddle with me after.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 03:05 PM
1

Nice guys are often entitled though. They develop interest in a woman romantically solely based on superficial qualities (i.e. looks) but expect women to value them for their niceness and great personality. Literally all my former orbiters were unattractive guys who ignored women in their league. I see the same thing with my friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/15 02:07 PM
5

I think it's because "nice girls" are so rare. Most women realize by some time in middle school or earlier that their appearance is the most important thing when it comes to attracting a mate. Personally I have a very low opinion of men. I absolutely expect a man to solely value me for my pussy and looks so I'm rarely disappointed or angry when men are shallow. I have felt this way for a long time and I just accept the world for what it is. The problem is that men value women solely for superfic…

I just hate how TRP acts like beta behavior is such a turn off. It really isn't. Women let alphas treat them like shit because the alpha guys are hot. Women would prefer a hunky guy to treat her well and be loyal. Some alpha traits are attractive like assertiveness and social dominance but women want a guy that is loyal and caring, they just want that guy to be attractive. TRPers think that alpha behavior makes a guy alpha but I think alpha behavior is a consequence of alpha looks and to a lesse…

I also had psychological issues and it still didn't change the fact that I developed a sex drive once I had a hot guy show what appeared to be genuine interest in me (not just interest in a hookup). TRP is kind of right about the 80/20 rule. I really think that women can only feel genuine lust for top tier guys. I definitely think women can grow to love lesser men but they will never lust after those guys like they would for a top tier guy.

I think the myth that women aren't very sexual still persists to this day. I actually think a lot of women aren't aware of how sexually repressed they are. I used to actually think that I was asexual or demisexual and now I know that the guy I was dating just wasn't hot enough to turn me on. I was so unhappy with my ex but I couldn't pinpoint why and I felt a lot of guilt because he was such a great bf. Contrary to what TRP says it wasn't his beta behavior that turned me off, but his unattractiv…

I think a lightly tanned, Mediterranean skin tone is seen as the most desirable in Western culture. I have type 1 skin (extremely white) and I consider it a negative. The last time I got a spray tan the lady commented that I was the whitest person she had ever encountered and I was sort of hurt by her comment (I don't think she meant to offend me). I don't think fair skin is seen as desirable at all in the West.

I'm not talking bad body=fat. I'm saying bad body=thin, boyish like Mila Kunis or Taylor Swift.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/15 01:22 AM

Why do you want a thin petite woman long term if you're obviously more sexually attracted to curvy women? I want my bf to lust after my body. He says he prefers skinny girls but I think it's more because of the media/skinny gf=status symbol.

I made a thread about this a while back on my old account and a lot of TRPers claimed a 25 year old with a lay count of 8 was a slut/CC-rider/used goods.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/15 03:25 AM

Why do TRPers act like a lay count of 5-10 is so deplorable then? Do you really think a girl who loves casual sex would have only had 5-10 partners?

Do you have any proof of this? Most couples I see are roughly equal in attractiveness but in the exceptional cases the man is usually less attractive than the woman. I rarely see men dating women a tier below them in looks but the reverse situation is not uncommon in my area.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/15 12:07 AM

Because they claim it screws over 80% of men and allows 20% of men to monopolize the SMP.

I agree with your interpretation and your criticisms of TRP. You're actually one of the posters I agree with most often on this sub. I have a few questions though: Would you say male SMV is largely based on alpha behavior (game, dominance however it's defined, frame, etc) or physical attractiveness+status? I would say 80-90% of it depends on the latter but TRP tends to disagree. Would you say that there's a sort of duality in the SMP? Many TRPers argue that women have the edge in both the casual…

5'9" isn't that short. You could blame your dating problems on height if you were 5'6" maybe but not 5'9". If I were you I would try my best to be social and appear funny and easy going. Try to build a large network of friends. I don't know any social guys that don't get laid semi regularly. You will have to lower your standards for girls though.

So feminists shouldn't date conventionally attractive men? Wtf? She also had less conventionally attractive bfs so it's not like she exclusively goes for alpha males.

If I were an average guy I wouldn't approach an attractive female in a club/bar setting unless it was a dive bar. If I wanted to get laid I would try it with an unattractive chick. I would think of some conversation starter and try talking to her casually at first and then escalate if she seems engaged. Again wouldn't approach the beautiful girl because I would know my league. I would approach an average girl and joke about studying in the library on a Saturday.

I'm usually not attracted to men shorter than me but there have been exceptions of course. I like really tall guys though. My bf is 6'1"-6'2" and I don't consider him that tall. Tbf I'm 5'8" and come from a family of very tall men.

Yes and narcisstic, ultra superficial women do incredibly well with the opposite sex. Who do you think is more appealing to men? The girl that spends 20 hours a week volunteering or the girl that spends 20 hours a week working out, doing her hair, doing her make up, etc? Women have never been rewarded sexually for contributing to society. If anything we've been penalized.

Realistically you're probably not at the same level as these average women you seem to feel entitled to. Most people pair up with partners of similar attractiveness so I doubt all these average women are pairing up with Chads if they're actually average. I'm guessing you, like many TRPers who harbor similar resentment regarding female hypergamy, probably either overrate your own attractiveness or underrate the attractiveness of the women you pursue. I also want to say that different qualities ar…

High standards as expected. It's funny how women are always lashed out at for demanding alpha males when in real life I've witnessed disproportionally many unattractive guys with unrealistic standards. Unattractive women seem to better know their place.

Most women will still sexually lust after an attractive, socially awkward guy. Being alpha is most dependent on physical attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/15 08:55 AM

No, such a guy is alpha bucks, which is every female's dream. Physically attractive guys are almost always either alpha fucks or alpha bucks.

If you are worth it then I will work for it. I consider my boyfriend worth it. I love dressing up for him and when I work out at the gym he is my primary motivation. The thing is my boyfriend is cute, tall, athletic, sweet, intelligent etc. When I think of the average American guy I think of some unattractive, skinnyfat guy with a beer gut from eating too much chipotle and very little ambition in life. That guy is certainly not worth it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/15 06:05 AM

If you actually mean consistently then I think it's probably only like 5% of guys. However, I think a solid 50% of guys can get semi-casual sex from being social and meeting girls at parties. Usually the girl doesn't have sex with the guy upon first meeting but they will get into a fwb type of arrangement.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/15 05:01 AM

Thanks. What do you mean? I only ignore what I think is false based on my observations. For example RPW puts way too much emphasis on being submissive/having a low partner count. I actually had a doormat personality when I was in my late teens and I was very sexually inexperienced for my age range due to general social awkwardness+shyness. Men actually seemed offput by my lack of sexual experience and I'm sure I came across as boring. Most guys would prefer a fun, social girl who is good in bed …

The guy you posted has an amazing face though (what's his name please?). His body is definitely not ideal however and his attractiveness would be higher if he had more muscle (nothing crazy of course). I like the way it tries to analyze sexual strategies and gender/dating dynamics. I think it's kind of fun to discuss this stuff with other people even if a lot of the debates depend heavily on anecdotal evidence. I think a lot of their central tenants are bullshit like the 80/20 rule and the idea that a woman can't love like a man can and I also think they emphasize alpha behavior over physical attractiveness waaay too much, however I do think there's a bit of truth to some of their central beli…

No, I explicitly stated that I'm not using a linear rating scale. A 7 would be close to the tail end of the bell curve, maybe around 95th percentile. What do you think of the TRPers rating Christina Aguilera and Taylor Swift 5s? How delusional do you think they are?

You really think that 50% of the girls at your school or work or whatever are more attractive than Taylor Swift? Do you know how insane you sound? Or Carrie Underwood? Lol... Edit: It's funny because these same TRPers will complain about how the average woman only considers the top 20% of men. I wonder if it's because you have a completely insane idea of what average is. That's an unflattering pic of CA without makeup. Her face is quite bloated and she's making a weird face. I guess EP is prettier without makeup than CA is without makeup but CA is prettier with makeup than EP is. I think tastes differ a lot though. I almost always completely disagree with my bf on who is hot in Hollywood. For example, I personally find Jennifer Lawrence very pretty and feminine looking but my boyfriend thinks she looks like a blowfish and says she's facially average to him. He a…

Your ratings are just as delusional as I thought they would be given your bitterness (other than your 2 and maybe your 6-7). I think the problem with a lot of guys on manosphere sites is that they have a warped view of what an attractive/average girl actually looks like. You have a whole bunch of guys who see themselves as a 5-6 but then rate Jennifer Lawrence a 5-6. In no world is Christina Aguilera structurally average. You literally made me laugh out loud. I actually find it bizarre that you …

He's actually pretty cute. If he were 5'10"+ I would date him. Edit: He's only 5'9" :/. He's perfect for me otherwise. Unfortunately he lives super far away from me. The problem is that most guys in the manosphere define incel as not being able to get laid by cute, slim women. If this is the definition then the percentage is like 40%. If it's not being able to get laid at all, then the percentage is low, like less than 10%.

No offense but at 6' 250 pounds you're probably just fat, not masculine. I say this because I know a lot of guys who think they're strong because they weigh a lot but they're actually just fat.

I think maybe the reason cocky guys get more results is because they are more forward with their interest and more aggressive in their pursuit. My dating options with attractive guys have exploded since I became more confident and assertive. I don't think my assertiveness is an attractive quality by itself but it leads to more options simply because I approach more and am more direct in expressing interest. I don't think it creates attractiveness where there is none though which is what TRP clai…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 05:54 AM
3

Yeah, but I doubt the masculine personality promoted by TRP increases a guy's attractiveness very much, if at all. TRP claims that women are sexually repulsed by beta (personality) men, but I strongly disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 05:51 AM
10

I don't believe that being cocky adds to a guy's attractiveness at all even if it's subtle. Lifting weights leads to higher physical attractiveness so that works and hobbies, career progression, sociability all make you more appealing as a long-term mate. I fail to see what's so red pill about this though; I feel like this is standard dating advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 05:36 AM
6

Yeah, but the ideal guy would be a humble Chris Hemsworth. The problem I have with TRP is that it claims guys like Chris Hemsworth are attractive because of their cocky personalities and player tendencies when in reality their confidence and promiscuity are a result of their attractiveness. Attractive guys tend to be assholes, but asshole traits are actually a negative to most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 05:21 AM
3

Well I actually do approach guys. I think women should approach guys more, if only because it's easier to get lucky and land an attractive but shy guy who will make a great bf. A lot of my girlfriends don't approach guys because they're terrified of rejection.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 05:16 AM
6

Dude, I never said I was dating a Chris Hemsworth tier guy. Chris Hemsworth is 1 in 1,000 as far as attractiveness goes. My boyfriend is pretty conventionally attractive though. He's more like 90-95th percentile though. He's around the same attractiveness level as Bradley Cooper.

I don't need a beta bux as I have my own career.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 04:48 AM

I have one female friend who is like that who is dating a beta, nerdy dude. Also, I think that the point of my post was that there's a lot of variance in tastes as far as ideal personalities go.

2

I deleted it because I spent too much time here. No, I'm under 25 and have always had this preference.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 04:26 AM
1

Can't you just reciprocate obvious interest? Like if a girl is asking for you to spend the night with her she's basically begging for your dick. Women are more subtle with revealing interest than men are but if you look for the signs it isn't too difficult to tell when they're probably interested. I also think confidence comes from just dating a lot and taking chances with rejection.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 03:12 AM
2

Same here. I put effort into my skincare routine so that I don't have to wear foundation. Occasionally I'll have some redness flair up around my nose but I just cover that up with a bit of concealer and I'm good to go. I also think working on your body makes clothing so much easier. I don't get out of shape girls who spend so much money on clothing just to find something that's flattering. IMO, if you have a good body even cheap shit will look good and almost everything is flattering.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 01:57 AM

This.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 12:32 AM

I actually find Indian men attractive and always have. I tend to find Asians less appealing in general but that's because I don't like their facial features and they tend to be short with stocky limbs. Hot Asian guys are still hot to me. I don't personally think it's racist to be less attracted to features commonly found in a particular race. If you refuse to date a person just because of their race then that is racist.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 12:31 AM
2

Yeah my bf will use my concealer to cover up light pimples. I also have a guy friend who uses kohl liner when he goes out clubbing. It really makes his eyes pop actually. I also think it's not too uncommon for Asian guys to use BB cream.

My bf actually steals my concealer sometimes lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 12:21 AM

This. I also don't believe that make up can really alter the structural appearence of your face to the real life observer. The amount of contouring needed to make a difference would look very obvious and caked on in real life. Most women don't look substantially different without makeup. The exception I see is people with very light coloring and freckles.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/15 12:20 AM
1

Yeah contrary to what TRP says, men are actually more likely to overrate their sexual attractiveness than women although both do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/15 02:38 AM

Except if she thinks her SMV is higher than it actually is. Then she will screen potential partners according to her perceived SMV. TRPer logic: women always suck.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/15 02:35 AM

This is so true. When TRPers complain about how much attention women get they fail to understand that 75% comes from guys way below us (old, unkept, creepy dudes).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/15 02:34 AM

Yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 01:43 PM

Guess it's great to be an average girl then. I get to date a hot guy and tons of validation while my male counterpart gets no interest from the opposite sex whatsoever thanks to the 80/20 rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 12:43 PM
1

I'm also introverted and feel awkward interacting with people. I know I sound like a bitch on here sometimes but in real life I hate rejecting people and hurting their feelings. Sometimes I'll give a guy a phone number just because I feel bad even though I have no interest in him whatsoever. This happened a few weeks ago with a guy who approached me while I was at a coffee shop. He still texts me occasionally even though I haven't texted him back in at least 2 weeks.

I think it's really difficult to be even somewhat attractive and not know you're attractive. It's why I laugh at TRPers who claim to be attractive yet unsuccessful with women due to confidence issues. I left my house three times in the last two days and this is what happened: Encounter 1: I took the bus downtown to run some errands and two guys my age tried to hit on me (one asked for my number, the other tried to impress me with his artwork), two other guys my age did double takes when they saw…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 11:53 AM
2

TRP is filled with misogyny though. A guy doesn't need to subscribe to a misogynistic ideology just to get confidence. There are better ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 10:01 AM
2

I'm a female. I think I know what I want to and do fuck.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 10:00 AM
3

You don't need TRP to teach you how not to be a doormat or how to be confident. I also have never met a guy who has good social skills and is physically attractive (maybe you and I have different standards here) who is insecure and a doormat in relationships. When you're physically attractive+socially suavy (not even necessarily super socially skilled) the positive feedback you get from society is so great that it's nearly impossible to not have high self-esteem. You have to be totally clueless …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 02:16 AM
3

Yeah, I agree with this completely. Ironically most TRPers can't swallow the real red pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 01:00 AM
2

The problem I have with TRP is that it claims that women like these guys because of their asshole behavior. In reality women put up with their shitty behavior because they're goodlooking. The real red pill should be that women are much more sexual and visual than most people think, not women prefer to be treated like shit. TRP focuses too much on behavior. I don't believe some ugly guy can all of a sudden start banging babes just because he acts like a tough-framed jerk.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/15 12:03 AM

No, I don't think it's that dangerous.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/15 11:59 PM

I just think it's really dumb. All you need to do to get women is be physically attractive+have good social skills. You can work on these traits without following a misogynistic cult rampant with pseudoscience.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/15 11:48 PM
2

No, I don't think so. Women say this for two reasons: 1.)They're overly idealistic and actually believe it. 2.)They want to make you feel good and don't have the balls/heart to tell you that you're unattractive and should change certain things.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/15 06:31 AM

Neither.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/15 07:05 AM

Michael Phelps is tall though with a masculine-shaped body. If you're a 5'4" guy with womanly hips and super narrow shoulders, getting ripped will not help. It's kind of like how someone like Kesha can never have an attractive body no matter how much she works out.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/15 12:47 AM
1

You're 5'6" in Europe so you're below average if you have an average face. If you were chasing average girls as a below average guy then it's no wonder they rejected you.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/15 12:45 AM
1

I'm tall, white and athletic so my son is probably going to have an advantage there genetically. I'll make sure to get him into sports at an early age to maximize his physical potential. I'll also make sure he is properly socialized by forcing him into group sports and setting up playdates. I'll definitely push him to break out of his shell socially as much as possible. IMO, tall, social, athletic guy=winning with girls.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/15 12:38 AM

I think the amount of effort women put in is underestimated here because their advances tend to be more passive (also TRPers probably suck at reading social cues).

I absolutely think that successful men tend to date younger. I even admitted that. I just disagree that attractive women in their thirties can't get successful, attractive men. I guess that's a preference then. There are a lot of blondes where I live so it doesn't impress me much. I thought British women were the ugliest out of the countries I went to. They had masculine, aged faces (looked 28 at 22) and were pretty out of shape. I do love their mannerisms though. You probably just notice the attractive women and that's why Kristen Stewart seems plain to you. She has a plain look, but is cute and has no real flaws. That alone makes her above average.

I've spent time in multiple Western European countries (England, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland) and Kristen Stewart is facially above average in all of them. British and Dutch women weren't very facially attractive in my experience. To be fair, maybe we just have different standards/tastes. I don't find the girl you listed as an 8 more attractive than Kristen; she just has better styling, lighting, and makeup. I consider the men you listed as above average but I've never been to…

If you try your luck with large numbers of attractive women then you're bound to get lucky from time to time. She's exactly from this type of social circle. She and her friends are all paired up with high status males despite being- according to TRP- post wall, used up sluts. She's from a tall family and had dated a lot of Dutch guys I guess.

The problem is that you're assuming the beta male is less physically attractive than the alpha male. Two men with the same looks can have radically different options based on their game. Only if one is completely socially awkward (like diagnosed with autism) and the other has the charisma of George Clooney. In general your looks will dictate the league of women you get. As you get older and your market value decreases (women = looks, men = looks, wealth, power) Most men will never accumulate eno…

I don't consider it short. It's above average imo.

Yeah, but are you committing to them?

We want both. We just like casual sex less than men do unless the guy is really hot.

Yes. She talked about the guys she dated in front of him. He's had a lot of gfs as well.

Well they would pay for her dates but she mostly only fucked her bfs according to her.

To be fair her fiancé's career is on the rise. He will likely make more this year.

She's still very attractive and looks younger than her age.

The problem is that those guys are less physically attractive than her. Why should a cute girl go for a chubby, unkept nerd?

Dude, where do you live that Kristen Stewart is a 5? She's definitely not a supermodel, but she's at least above average. I think this is the problem with TRPers. Due to illusory self-superiority they rate themselves as above average and think they're above girls like Kristen Stewart when in reality they're below. It's probably where a lot of the complaints about hypergamy come from. Edit: Post a male 5 please. I bet you it's some chubby, ugly, balding guy.

Well she casually dated a lot of guys too. Plus I've seen having many partners in your youth=CCer. Unless you marry the first or 2nd guy you sleep with, you're a slut in the eyes of many Terpers.

Yeah this girl is actually smart. She makes her own money too. She also has great social networking skills.

How is a 100k guy possible for most women? That's top 10% in income. That's probably possible for most cute, slim girls with good proportions but not for most women in general.

I didn't bleed when I lost my virginity. I think it's not uncommon to not bleed.

Post an example of a female 6 and a male 6 please.

Who says that women are getting great relationships or that they are confident of competent in the SMP? Many of my gfs are unhappy with their dating lives and constantly bitch about them.

I have male friends who are fat, under average height, and are not particularly cool. These guys have still been in relationships. Yeah their gfs are/were not attractive but neither are these guys.

Yeah and they all present the same false or exaggerated narrative.

A lot of people will initially overlook the personality faults of physically attractive people.

Do you think women have endless options? Most of my female friends hate casual sex and so do I. Women don't have it super easy with dating. The only thing we have it easier with is casual sex which we enjoy far less than men in general.

Do you have any statistical proof for this? Also, if men are so screwed in the dating market then why do the majority of them lose their virginity in their teens? Why do the majority of them have at least a couple of sexual relationships by their early twenties? Are men really suffering in the dating market?

Yeah I think people with shitty personalities attract other people with shitty personalities. Either that or the person is trying to date up in physical attractiveness and is compromising on the personality of their partner. Funny how I've never dated a jerk.
