Well, leaving that statement just like that is pretty gray area. Gotta be careful not to impose myself if they're actually disinterested.

Thanks. I do need more practice, for sure. But wanted a better sense of what to focus on

By the time I get to the car, they're already looking/sounding no-longer-interested. Maybe I should find a good intermediate spot?

Doesn't that sound weird? Meaning, why would she want to "see where I live"? How do I go bringing that up in a way that doesn't feel out of the blue?

Or maybe moving too slow to escalate to the next step? Doesn't really feel like "recoiling"; more like going at 100mph and suddenly slowing it way down. May be to do with that pre-date flirting too (or lack thereof). How do you "seduce her mind"?

Thanks this is a lot more helpful. I'll reread and see how I can apply it/try it out. Any alternate suggestions for when you're traveling and are staying in a hotel instead of inviting to your place where you could have all sorts of "interesting things" to use as an excuse?

"read her body" ok, this one is a little tricky for me. Body language and cues is something that I sometimes get and sometimes not at all. I've always had some trouble with non-verbal language and reading between the lines. For the type of scenario I'm suggesting, let's say she does notice me and she does seem to have a good time ("light up") when we're talking, and then suddenly she hits reverse: she's still friendly, but "steps back" and she's less interested (either because she explicitly tel…

I mean, you did say "for starters", so reasonable confusion. With that said: For what I am asking, we're not in my place, we're not making out yet; we're talking, maybe at a restaurant or cafe, maybe online, and am trying to get to the point of inviting her over or kissing or w/e next step. How do you bridge that? You said "that's the goal. Now work backwards". Yes... I get that... My point is I'm having trouble making sense of how the middle steps look or work.

How often does being that direct actually work for you?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
