What were the reasons she stated for divorce? Sorry about your kids. That really sucks.

I don't know anyone who is jealous that they bagged someone old enough to be their parent. Weirded out, yes.

Some folks get stuck in the cycle of abuse, and often it starts in childhood. It's what they know. Plenty of men avoid abusers, and some get stuck in the cycle, too.

The majority of women that I know who are reactive have been traumatized. I, myself, at one point was very, very angry towards men due to my past. I do my best to talk with them if they choose to open up, or avoid them entirely if they are veering towards the hateful side What helped me was remembering the love of my father (not many experience that, sadly), and developing deep friendships with men that I cherish to this day. On the part of men, it would help that they not find our fears a perso…

I suggest you read into sexual assault stats if you think it's a tiny percentage.

Groping is not okay, regardless of gender. Not sure what your point is.

Almost every woman I know has been sexually assaulted. It's a real fear. Just look at the statistics. While I don't like generalizing all men, It's dudes like you who downplay the fact that for many of us the sexual harassment starts when we're barely pubescent makes some women angry enough to be that lady online. It's gaslighting. You wouldn't like it done to you. Just stop.

I agree. All of friends who were single moms aren't single moms. A lot of single dads prefer them over child free folks.

I think I made it very clear that I was talking about a specific set of men. Pursuing someone because of what their youth brings (ego boost, feeling young again, broodmare, nurse) is shallow. I do recall some young women, who weren't conventionally attractive, were advised to date older men, since their relative youth is what will get them in the door.

Lol. And women aren't visual? Attraction is obviously what gets folks interested, regardless of gender. You can blabber all you want, but you don't speak for all men, as I don't speak for all women.

Pretty much all the men I know want or have a genuine connection with their partners, and are awesome people. But then again, they're not the jaded nincompoops here who insist they know how the world works when the reason why they can't get laid, or they only can get laid by misrepresenting themselves, is because their personality sucks, which will never genuinely attract a woman on any level.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 05:49 AM

I believe thosez type of men are disservice to the planet (and themselves), given that shallowness runs in tandem with destructive character attributes.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 03:15 AM

I was referring to your comment about older men working hard to bag a twenty yo. The shallowness of that purpose is not an assumption. It's the truth. Now, if they genuinely connect, which is very unlikely if there's 'stability' involved, then I've nothing to say about that but Mazel Tov.

All that work for gold-digging arm candy. Wonder what could have been accomplished if one wasn't so shallow.

I usually find folks with massive egos and their 'bitchy' counterparts weak, insecure, dramatic and draining. There are also folks that have been so accustomef to abuse and bad behavior due to childhood and life experience, that anything healthy is perceived as weak and boring.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/22 07:07 PM

That's a good point. I think the important thing is balance. Strong, but not bitchy. Kind, but not manipulative.

I know men who were in commited relationship with women that have the personality traits you like. They turned into nightmares, surprised that their 'strong'/bitchy partners turned into abusers.

I personally don't want to rely on someone financially to the point that I, or they, can't leave should the relationship sour. Sure, it would be nice to run a household, but I've seen so much financial abuse, folks destroyed from splits with nowhere to go... and the one with all the money blithely move on to the next one. In this case, it's not just the careers. A 40 yo and someone nearing 60... that's literally two different generations. I'm not saying I'm against it. It's just that for me, and…

I hate to burst your bubble, but everybody ages. Being queer on OLD, I see more well-maintained 40plus attractive women than men. The sun damage alone is insane. Although, attraction for me is more subjective and nuanced.

Um, yeah... there is. If anything, I feel the difference even more than I did when I was in my 20s dating older. I'm just more aware of what I'm getting into. 10 years older, maybe. Any more than that, it's a firm no. A good friend of mine, who is my age, is in a commited relationship with a man your age. They have a toddler. Men in 'Roman times' married at 30 because that's when they were advanced enough within their duties to the state to afford to pay the taxes that came along with marriage and children, among other things. It was not due preference as we understand it. Vast age discrepancies, while not uncommon, were mocked if particularly vast (as in the case of Pompey). Marriage and paternalism was deeply embedded within the fabric of elite Roman society, and remarriage was heavily encouraged.

Older men getting called creepy and predatory generally are behaving creepy and predatory. Regardless, it's young woman who overwhelmingly prefer their peers, besudes the rather small pool of exceptions who, all but rarely, genuinely prefer old pops without the lure of cache, financial security, and/or 'stability.'

The fact that you have to insult anyone over your proclivities for very young women, while denigrating women your own age because 'baggage,' further compels you into the stereotypical man-child. Maybe that's why your lady friends are distancing themselves from you.

Depending on where you live, you can be held liable. Although, it's difficult to punish Bad Samaritans (of which you fall under by your own proclaimation), you can face legitimate social fall-out, for good reason, especially if you refuse to do the bare minimum in calling for the cops. A man in Australia has been found guilty of a somewhat similar offense.

Never said I didn't want to discuss things. You can state why you're MGTOW without making presumptive and snide comments. Whether or not you actually are, but it comes across as bitter. Besides, it's not like MGTOW (or WGTOWs, or whatever the female version) is a new thing. If anything, it's good that folks recognize that they're not capable, for whatever reason, of being in a relationship. Makes it so people who actually want to share a life with someone find that someone, rather than have thei…

If anything, you've dodged major drama. She has some things to work through within herself, in which building a relationship based on codependency will only be a detriment. I think folks struggle with self-gratificaton and wanton individualism, especially in this age of narcissism. Relationships aren't about 'me,' but us as individuals sharing the middle ground. It seems you recognized this, which seems so rare these days.

I totally see what you mean! It's a difficult line to tread as a woman and I've fallen into that trap of being a bitch out of sheer frustration, especially after watching straight up incompetent men receive promotions. My industry is particularly messed up in this fashion. I do have a shred of hope that the wolf-like work atmosphere (which men have established) in the US will change.

I pretty much agree with everything you've said, but (as a woman, I cringe as I write this) I've encountered women, personally and professionally, whose 'assertiveness' was legitimate bitchiness; some of whom were my bosses, thinking that 'acting like a man' would get shit done, when really, no one i worked with likes being under the direction of an asshole. I think that falls under the umbrage of youth, which is not what folks who prefer presentable and high-end escorts, making sugar babies cheap in comparison. These ladies make in one or two assignments what many SBs make in a month.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 11:49 PM
2

Well, a lot of young ladies match with older men because of resources. Very few young ladies are genuinely attracted to much older men.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 11:10 PM
1

I haven't heard of SB's progressing in their careers due to their clients' influence. Most of them come from comfortable families who want a certain lifestyle and I would think them naive if they actually believe that their clients will risk their own careers by blowing the lid off by introduce their sugar babies as potential hires whatnot. If anything, they wanna spoil and impress their babies, then move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 11:07 PM
2

Exactly. The fact that many of them refuse to call it what it is, leaves them with a lesser safety net.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 05:09 PM
1

Generally, neither are escorts. Vetting does employment, but it also includes how the potential client words things. You can glean a lot from tone and semantics in emails phone calls. I'm not arguing that SB's can be aware, but that the 18-22 yos are probably more likely to get taken advantage of by Splenda/salt daddies. They don't have the protection of a well-run brothel/service where they build long relationships with their clients.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 04:14 PM
1

It depends on their level of discernment and calculation they possess, which many young folks haven't quite developed to the degree of even a mid to late escort has.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 04:03 PM

Sex workers are at greater risk of violence and dearh at the hands of their clients, serial killers and so on. I mean, look at what just happened in Georgia. Not saying that clients aren't at risk, just not as much. If you're going through a 'reputable' brothel/service, the likelihood is low, as it's a business that relies on discretion. Even the sex workers are screened. I
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 03:58 PM
1

Escorts, whether independent or contracted, put clients through a screening process in which they are on alert for any indication of nefarious behavior or potential law enforcement. It's not just show me the money! They are generally savvy about the risks and how to manage money talk, especially if they are under the protection of a brothel/service.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 03:48 PM
4

Having been friends with several high-end escorts, they're incredibly charming, well-dressed, attractive and make great company. Sugar Babies selling point is pretty much their relative youth, which behaviorly be a turn off for well-established folks who want discretion.

We're taking it way slow. His wife was super abusive and manipulative. My current partner and I are in our early 40s (neither of us have kids). He'd been playing the field after his divorce. Lots of younger ladies. Got old quick for him. One of the things he mentioned was that the conversations weren't there for him.

He was 5'1". I saw him outside a popular late night coffee shop next to an independent theater. He took me to The Rocky Horror Picture Show for our first date. Height is not my criteria. /r/PurplePillDebate05/01/21 12:18 AM

Lol, I'm not a midget! I've dated men shorter than me, so when tall ladies complain about shorter men, they're missing out. Yes, you absolutely can. However, in principle, you cannot claim it an examined life, because you lack a major component. An examined life is how we as humans define ourselves away from 'animals' and the eat/shit/fuck mentality. So, yes, you are honest that you are a liar, a cheat, and ignoble. I, mean, you are self-aware in the sense that you admit that you are an unrepentant liar. I don't doubt you capable of introspection, but (going from your statements), you seem to lack self-concept, an integral aspect of self-reflection. Where we to take a Socratic interpretation of an examined life; which is an incredibly noble and ethical construct, I'm not sure how you can have an 'examined' life by operating on such a base level.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/20 09:10 PM

I figure an examined life is one with the ability of honest self-reflection and accountability. As someone with ASPD, are you capable of that, or do you operate under your own self-serving definition that exonerates your own bad-behavior?

My impression of men who are MGTOW in real life is that they've conflated healthy boundaries with self-serving behaviors. Being able to compromise is healthy. Not sure if a reddit flair translates into relevance and desirability in the real world. The more one proclamates, the more insecure one appears. Nobody really cares that you bagged a young lady so many years ago. I mean, Mazel Tov? She's clearly moved on to someone else that she'd rather invest in long-term, who I reckon is closer in age. If trophies make you happy, then fine. But... if you wanna be content, look deeper, learn to be a person of substance. V tapers are just that, V tapers. 'The …

I just find it odd that a man of your age on reddit keeps using poorly laden, over-generalized and unsophisticated analogies in which illusionary dominance over youth is expressed. Everybody ages. Some better than others, regardless of gender. If you want to be a young lady's stepping stone towards something better, or need a young lady to relinquish your fears of becoming more and more irrelevant, by all means get off reddit and go for it... there's someone for everyone.

I'm not sure if aligning yourself with mass-murderers, rapists, masochists, and terrorists are qualities your once upon a time SB, and all those hypothetical young ladies, craved.

Oh no offense! I kind of thought they were pathetic back then. Even the flings. I was embarrassed about it for a long time. Now, I feel sad for them. I'm having such a blast dating in my early 40s. No BS. And the kind of sex we're having without all the hang-ups. Mindblowing!!

I'm right with you. It's sad. Luckily, reddit isn't real-life.

The crap older men put up with dating me in my 20s was insane. The way they groveled. All for a piece of arm candy, who dumped them hard as fast as they fell. Gosh, I'm glad I matured.

The fact that you are aware of it is a good sign. I think the issue that lots of folks have is when older folks intentionally seek out considerably younger folks, and ditto younger folks seeking older folks. So, if you're dating her because of her and not because of what her age represents to you, then you're good!

Can you tell me what you believe the differences are? I keep reading on this sub that women are damaged for having sex and making the egregious biological mistake for aging, while men aren't susceptible to the effects of aging and promiscuity.

The same could be said for 'damaged' men. Life happens. What matter for me is being able to ride through the inevitable storms of health, finances, etc.

I'm not sure how a bear attack is analogous to the pain of being an incel... Can you elaborate? Do you feel that you are not getting what is your due and that is what is making you feel less than (or whatever else you are feeling) and that is what perpetuating 'victimhood'? Do you feel like TRP is enabling victimhood or do you believe it is empowering you to be seen as a viable and visible member of society?

May I ask why you perceive incels as victims?

Not to be rude, but what were they aiming for? Because, if their standards are at high strigency, that can explain their results. Also, people can sense when someone is not getting what they want.I think, also, having a shared connection (if that is what is being sought) with someone is beyond the realm of what someone can achieve via methodology. It just happens and that's why dating sucks.

I pretty much agree with you on this. I feel like being wary of censorship is not uncommon, I count myself as one of this folks. However, I believe that with that, there ought to be some accountability. There seems to be a bit of a deluge of folks who are here to project, not to debate, to the point that it really does come off like a circle-jerk when it drowns out differing perspectives. It seems to be a fine line difficult to navigate.

If there is anything I've learned from this sub is that there's a lot of enraged, embittered folks who probably should lay off the 'studies' and work on their personalities in the real world. I like hearing and engaging with different perspectives, with the caveat of civility, of which there is a great dearth of on this sub, especially when I truly can't tell the different between black pill, red pill, etc. I find myself struggling to see through the haze of resentment and entitlement. So many o…

Why do you think you and your fellow travelers have cornered the market on 'truth'? And if you really have, shouldn't you try to be more winning? Personally, when I feel like I've come across a 'truth,' I adopt into my daily life with confidence. If I meet someone who is open and in need, I share it with hopeful intent of helping, rather proselytize that and browbeat them into submission.

I'd rather be happy than right. I'm less inclined to take studies on human behavior as fact. Humans are far more complex and difficult to quantify. Besides, having some correlation doesn't even closely imply a mote of general truth. I'm wary and weary of cherry-picked catchphrases used to confirm an argument for the sole purpose of being right, because that feeling of having a connection with someone can surprisingly offset factors otherwise seen as undesirable. But, hey, you're entitled to beli…

And what is that? I'm just curious because your first comment emphasized what you refer tohigh value men as crude, vapid, and incapable of deep connections. If dating is all about boosting your ego with a shiny thing to match one's own cynicism, that's fine. For you and other cohorts. But you do not speak for the many who do not share your personal beliefs. And I'm not speacial, lol.

For me, it's mutual respect, actually liking each other as individuals, loving-kindness, adaptability. The more I love someone, their beauty grows in tandem. I feel that a rich man is a funny man. Finances change, aging happens, priorities shift; laughs are what carries us through the hard-times and amplify the good-times.

Given your response, we may very well have different ideas about 'quality.' I think you do a great disservice to many men by such a vast and embittered generalization.

I generally prefer dating closer to my age. Had the '36' yo been honest from the get-go, I would have more open to him as a partner, fling, etc. I actually gave him a chance and it was just a series of omissions and parsed out truths. So, you are absolutely right!

What's crazy is that I was 39/40 and they were in their late 40s. One of them got upset when I told him he didn't look like he was 36 after he disclosed his true age.

In my experience, a person who lies about their age (even for a hook up) may vary well bring a bag o crazy. I just willful deception not only a buzzkill, but also a gross manipulation of agency

I wonder how one can follow a construct of amoral maxims, and still expect to reap benefits from a complex world in which many live with, at least a sense of, what is right and wrong? It is very hard to benefit when one does not offer anything in return. And since TRP is fundamentally amoral, I do not sense a return that is longstanding and mutual for many. Unless, they're sociopaths. I guess more power to you.
