Literally the conversation I had last night with a bunch of really unhinged trans women in the local LGBT group - which is supposed to be helping everyone, including gay and bi men. Literally yesterday got told that "it's not symmetrical" and all men's struggles are "actually misogyny, misandry doesn't exist". It was in the context of trans people, so it came with a nice sprinkle of "trans women are seen as ugly women, and trans men are also seen as ugly women" cope.

I did, because I internalized a lot of horrific talking points from when people didn't think a man was in the room (I'm FtM). I know people here like to say "oh you don't know what it's like" and trans men are not always welcome here, but for someone who knew he was a boy from an early age, hearing the uh "Locker room talk" and horrific warnings as older women especially poison you against your own gender, hearing the way they talk about men's bodies, of (especially for me this was traumatizing)…
