Women are overwhelmingly the victims of rape because the most common way men get sexually assaulted by women is often not classified as rape in official documents, ie forced to penetrate. There are various studies that suggest that the number of male victims of forced to penetrate crimes are comparable to female victims of rape. So, the notion that women are more afraid of rape, hence they must be significantly more affected by it is as flawed as it is incorrect.

The victim surely being the person who got stabbed over 100 times? Also, she said she takes responsibility for her part of what happened. But her actions don’t match that with the appeal. As far as I remember the psychosis part was pretty much confirmed, it wasn’t self defense though. He didn’t attack her she just went bananas. I was curious about the forcefully drugged part, as I haven’t seen any evidence for that as of yet. I remember that this is what she claimed or her defense claimed. Did I say that she owes him sex? I find it illogical to criticize him for poor communication, when she is clearly lacking in that department herself. I think you confuse/mix up Šikšnys with Church and Zhang. Šikšnys does have some CRISPR patents, but he filed for his most important one months before Charpentier or Doudna did submit their paper to Science. The economy prize isn’t a Nobel prize, even though often referred as such. Imho only the science nobel prizes hold merit, even though they have been politicized heavily. I feel like participant 21 on slide 4 of 10. I think part of that is also related to society not educating men/women that men getting forced to have sex with women is a "thing". Personally, I was completely ignorant on that reality when it happened. It took me over a decade to realize what had been done to me, and it was only due to me coming across an article describing "forced to penetrate" cases (I think in the Scientific American).

Afaik they did educate all the participants on safer sex rules and might even have handed out condoms for free. However, for the control group (no circumcision) they did that once and for the effect group (circumcision) they did that at every medical follow up step.

That’s definitely part of the story, I think a lot of it is internalized as well though, ie a man who is getting abused may not even realize or take notice of that abuse - in part because of the reasons you outlined above. It took me over a decade to come clean with myself and the reality that I’ve been sexually abused by a woman (in lack out a better word, since forced to penetrate is still not legally considered rape in many jurisdictions).

The first author of this study, Brian J. Morris, is well known for being a pro-circumcision activist (some people have even suggested that he is a circumsexual based on his association with certain groups and people) who will distort the facts to paint a more positive view in favor of circumcision. I would be very careful with any paper either co-authored by him or that heavily relies on his "results".

Male contraceptives would be a neat alternative option for men, provided that the side effects aren’t as major as the ones recently tested. However personally I don’t consider it a major advantage over condoms. The real problem from a legal point of view imho is the lack of the right to not be a father in the legal sense, ie the lack of paper abortions.

You are not fucked up, conversations about this topic from an intactivist perspective should never be about shaming someone nor to make them feel uncomfortable in their bodies or with their sexuality. I think it’s also critical though to understand that people who argue against (routine) neonatal/infant circumcision without medical necessity will inevitably point out how the foreskin affects their sexuality. Around a year, which can either be done all at once or in installments (basic training and then every year for a few weeks). So, at least it's not too long but it is majorly annoying as it delays your career at an early point, i.e. most guys can't start college or their professional career as early as women do. Yes, there is post voting polls from that one. Unfortunately they did bot break it down to the genders and did not include numbers for men and women. But they did comment that there was basically no difference between men and women‘s voting behavior in that vote. There is also a regular opinion polling by the military academy and that one is quite interesting regarding women’s and men’s opinions on military service. But I would need to look up exact details when I’m on my laptop.

Our public pension is underfunded and running into serious problems if we do not address the issue. Realistically speaking the retirement age of both men and women should be raised, adjusting it to an equal of 65 is just the bare minimum. The fact that women and in particular feminists are fighting this, and that affected women need to be "bribed" with some extra financial goodies is just the icing on the hypocrisy cake.

Ehm, you realize that at the moment it’s mostly men who have to carry the financial burden for that earlier retirement age for women. Of course men are affected and helped too by this proposal, it will ensure that the public pension isn’t running out of money (as fast at least), securing their own pension. Also, since we can vote on these matters in Switzerland, nothing will be imposed from above. It’s going to be a matter of principles and voter participation.

So, this was a good example for people to use to point out how dangerous it is for women in society, In the us basically in any year there is an almost equal number of male and female violent crime victims, with a slightly higher number of male victims despite making up less than half of the population. In other societies male victims are even more significantly overrepresented as victims of violent crime.

You can be officially excused from paying the extra tax, but it's rare. Imagine someone losing a hand in an accident or someone in a wheelchair, those people do not pay the tax.
