I didn't exclude myself from anything; merely stating that people with self-worth issues are gravitating to those who confirm this in them.

People who grow up in dysfunctional homes date walking red flags, period.

Thank you. Hope you find what you're looking for, stranger!

I'm also kind of invisible generally; being "ok in life" is kinda table stakes. I try to have some social hobbies during my free time, where I can show my strengths and be at ease. Also helps to have friends who invite you to places and introduce you to people. And I got some success with OLD. Maybe there's a couple of things you can work on, like hobbies or charisma to be where you need in life?

Ugh, that's a very personal choice, and no one can tell you what's best. Personally, I'd rather have had the discernment and emotional maturity I have now to pair with a compatible woman, and live a life full of love. Children are simply a manifestation of that love - and it really, really sucks for them when that love dies. Also sucks doubly for you. Would I recommend this path to a friend? No. Getting divorced with children is very painful. That said, I fully accept my life as it is now, I lov…

Depends, but within 8 years either way, which keeps things on a similar level of life experience.

Um, ok :) I opened this account as I was experimenting after my big breakup. I was wondering how prevalent fwb was with women 30+. I'm actually in a similar fwb/situationship right now, which I'll probably end or clarify very soon as it's getting unclear. I've had a pretty serious gf for a few months, and quite a few dates in between, most of them very positive experiences. No BS on the being seduced story, I was actually quite shaken for my own personal reasons, I don't need to prove it. I'm no…

You forgot nature vs. nurture, survivorship bias, and just open any social psychology textbook, and give me the index section.

Yes

How? He uses TRP, HMV etc. and created a "funnel" for himself. It's transactional because he wines & dines them, tells the same interesting stories, uses technique in the bedroom, sends them all the same memes & texts. Even when he's with one "seriously", it's only serious for her. Trust me, he is miserable. Maybe not as miserable as if he were a lonely basement dweller, but it's the other extreme. How I act has had all the impact. Maybe my words haven't fully conveyed all I do, but these are th…

Haha, good for your friend! I'm a bit more "manly" where interests are concerned, but I've grown my social and emotional intelligence enough to have lots of common ground with many of the women I meet.

Hi, It's not simple, and I still get rejected by women who don't like what they see, or who don't like my baggage, or I'm just not as genuine/grounded/cool when I'm next to them. No silver bullets, friend. I have a friend who's perfected a "system" whereby he gets girls left right and center, and has tons of sex. He dislikes women and sees it as transactional. He's miserable. So choose your goals carefully.

Thank you, fellow journeyer! I'm just dating casually now, however the knowledge of whom I'll show to my kids, eventually, gives a high dose of reality.

Hey! Thanks) We're amicable. We are 50-50, but I still do lots of housework on my off days.

We're 50-50, but I'm also doing housework and prepping for kids' time with me on my "off" days. Adulting.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
